“I’m so tired!”
Mo Liang collapsed onto the bed the moment she walked in, burying her entire face into the pillow.
The room wasn’t big, but the decor was cozy enough.
Mo Liang rolled over, sprawling across the bed in a starfish position, her golden hair fanning out across the bedsheet.
She looked at her phone, remembering that this phone was bought with money Jiang Qing—Miss Xu’s girlfriend—had saved up by working three jobs! She wondered if Miss Xu got the same treatment. Mo Liang couldn’t help but let out a light snort.
“Hm?”
Just as Mo Liang was lounging on the bed scrolling through her phone, she casually opened Alipay to check her balance—and shot upright in bed.
The balance showed only a few hundred yuan left. The remaining fifty-something thousand had all been transferred to an account under the single character “Xu.”
She didn’t even need to think to know it was Xu Lingxue.
She quickly switched to WeChat and tapped on the contact labeled Xu Lingxue.
“Where’s my money?”
Mo Liang’s fingers were trembling slightly as she typed. Not long after the message went through, a reply came back.
“You dare ask me for that money?”
“You lied to Jiang Qing, said your dad broke all three of his legs and your mom got into a car accident, and tricked her into taking out a loan to give you all the money.”
“Turns out your dad died long ago, and your mom ran off with someone else.”
Mo Liang stared at the messages popping up one after another on the screen, watching for a while, her face full of defiance.
Sure, that fifty-something thousand was all loan money and Jiang Qing’s own savings.
But she gave it willingly! It wasn’t like Mo Liang held a knife to Jiang Qing’s throat to rob her.
Besides, after the breakup, Jiang Qing didn’t call the police when Mo Liang blocked her and ran off. So didn’t that just make the money hers?
Mo Liang rolled over, holding her phone up in front of her face, and figured there was only one possibility.
Could Xu Lingxue still be hung up on Jiang Qing?
Tsk tsk tsk. The prestigious Young Lady of the Xu Family, cheated on and still unable to let go—what a pathetic loser.
With that thought, Mo Liang pressed the voice message button and whined pitifully:
“But if I don’t have money right now, I’ll starve to death…”
She still had to put on the pitiful act, since she only dared to curse the other woman in her head.
The message went through, and the reply came instantly.
“What’s that got to do with me?”
Gah! So cold-hearted.
Mo Liang felt her current face wasn’t any worse than Jiang Qing’s, right? And didn’t Xu Lingxue like women too?
Why was she so hung up on Jiang Qing but wouldn’t even give her a decent look?
She replied:
“Th-then how am I supposed to make money! I don’t know how to do anything.”
That wasn’t entirely a lie. Even back when she was a guy, she’d never worked a day in her life.
Meanwhile, far away in the villa, Xu Lingxue was leaning against the sofa, the glow of her phone screen illuminating her face.
She kept opening and closing Jiang Qing’s chat window, every message she sent sinking into the void with no reply at all.
If she hadn’t used a burner account to repeatedly add Jiang Qing as a friend until the woman couldn’t take it anymore, she wouldn’t even have had the chance to send messages.
What made her chest even tighter was that she’d transferred the full fifty-something thousand back to Jiang Qing, only for the woman to return it again.
Why? What did she lack compared to that Mo Liang?
Xu Lingxue’s gaze gradually dimmed.
A moment later, she switched back to the chat with Mo Liang, her fingers flying across the screen as she typed:
“Come to my villa.”
“Huh?”
Mo Liang was hugging her phone, waiting for a reply with eager eyes, and was just about to refuse when she saw the message.
But before she could even think of an excuse to decline, another message popped up:
“You have one hour. If you don’t show up, you’ll face the consequences.”
Mo Liang stared at those words, cursing Xu Lingxue from head to toe over a dozen times in her mind, then resigned herself to her fate.
She climbed out of bed and hailed a ride on her phone.
By the time she reached the villa’s entrance, a beautiful maid was already waiting there.
“Are you Miss Mo Liang?”
Mo Liang nodded weakly. The maid gave a slight bow and led her through the corridor, all the way to the living room.
Xu Lingxue was leaning against the sofa. When she saw Mo Liang being brought in, she waved a hand at the maid, who withdrew with a bow.
The vast living room suddenly held only the two of them.
Xu Lingxue slowly rose from the sofa, walked up to Mo Liang, and spoke in a cold tone:
“Seems like you don’t hold much respect for me.”
“It’s only been this long and you already dare to ask me for money?”
Hearing that, Mo Liang shook her head like a rattle.
But what she was thinking was something entirely different.
You’re just a loser who got her girlfriend stolen. Why would I be afraid of you? A pathetic loser who couldn’t even hold onto his girlfriend, what do you have to be so high and mighty about in front of me!
“Do you know?”
“When I saw you holding Jiang Qing’s hand, I wanted to die right then and there.”
Xu Lingxue’s voice suddenly became very soft, as if she were talking to herself.
Mo Liang was momentarily taken aback. Then why didn’t you die?
“But I got over it quickly.”
Xu Lingxue reached out and pressed her hand against Mo Liang’s slender neck. It was ice cold.
“But when I later found out about the things you did, I wanted to kill you.”
Her expression was perfectly calm, and her tone was almost gentle, yet it made Mo Liang’s legs tremble uncontrollably.
Mo Liang instinctively shrank her neck but didn’t dare to actually pull away.
Her brain raced through a fraction of a second of calculation, and she decided to lightly nuzzle against that hand, rubbing her cheek against Xu Lingxue’s arm, squeezing out three pitiful words:
“I-I’m sorry…”
“You really do know how to please people.”
Xu Lingxue looked down at the little face rubbing against her arm, unable to tell whether her own tone was praise or sarcasm. She only felt annoyed.
Mo Liang was too well-behaved. Since the other party hadn’t made a mistake, she had no reason to hit or scold her. That left the fire in her chest burning with nowhere to go, smoldering hotter with every passing second.
But then, thinking about it again, she suddenly felt ridiculous.
Since when did she, Xu Lingxue, need a reason to hit someone?
And the groveling wretch in front of her was the one who’d cuckolded her. On that grounds alone, no amount of beating or cursing would be excessive. And yet here she was, still waiting for a reasonable excuse, waiting for the other party to make the first mistake.
Well, this person was already in this state anyway, crushed in her palm. She could dispose of her however she pleased, right?
“What’s going on? Why did this loser’s gaze suddenly turn so terrifying!”
Mo Liang had been clinging to the hope that ever since she’d become a woman, Xu Lingxue’s attitude toward her had improved at least somewhat.
It was still better than getting beaten in the basement for that half hour.
“Haha… I-is it?”
Mo Liang forced a dry laugh, trying to lighten the mood.
Her smile froze on her face, her eyes darting around uneasily. She opened her mouth, about to say something else to change the subject.
The next second, two slender fingers slipped into her mouth, and her little tongue was precisely pinched between them.
“Mmf? What are you doing?”
Mo Liang’s eyes went wide, completely caught off guard by the move.
She tried to ask, but Xu Lingxue’s two fingers kept stirring relentlessly inside her mouth, squeezing and kneading her little tongue, giving her no chance to speak.
Everything she wanted to say dissolved into garbled whimpers. Her cheeks flushed bright red, and an uncontrollable film of tears welled up in her eyes.
She instinctively tried to struggle, but the moment her body moved—
“Don’t move.”
That one light, airy sentence froze Mo Liang in place. She didn’t dare twitch an inch.
“Ughh…”
She had a belly full of pleas she wanted to voice, but with her tongue being toyed with, she couldn’t form a single coherent syllable. All that came out were broken, meaningless whimpers.
Her lips were stretched slightly open, and saliva uncontrollably trickled from the corner of her mouth before Xu Lingxue’s fingertip wiped it back up.
Finally, when the other woman pulled her fingers out, she wiped the saliva onto Mo Liang’s face with a look of disgust.
“Cough, cough… Young Lady, what was that just now?”
Mo Liang covered her mouth and coughed several times, wiping the saliva off her face.
It would be a lie to say she wasn’t angry. Her face cycled through red and pale, torn between humiliation and rage, with tear stains still clinging to her eyes.
Xu Lingxue seemed to have finally calmed down a bit, speaking with barely any inflection:
“You cuckolded me, and I can’t even vent a little?”
“But you already turned me into this! Your anger should’ve cooled by now!”
Seeing that the other woman was actually starting to reason, Mo Liang immediately climbed the ladder and started huffing again.
Xu Lingxue couldn’t be bothered to argue further. She swiped at her phone a couple of times.
The next second, Mo Liang’s phone buzzed.
She looked down and saw a WeChat transfer of two thousand yuan.
“Oh wow!”
Mo Liang instantly shut her mouth, eyes lighting up, the corners of her lips curling up so hard she couldn’t suppress them.
She didn’t bring up the fifty-something thousand again, worried that if she mentioned it, she’d get her tongue pinched once more.
“Get lost.”
Xu Lingxue waved a hand, her face unreadable.
So two thousand yuan was enough to make her forget being treated that way? She stared at the back of the departing figure.
