Inn Lobby – Late Night.
It was already past 10 PM.
At the front desk, the receptionist was dozing off with her head resting on the counter, clearly exhausted after a long shift.
Her coworker, who was supposed to relieve her, had taken leave, so she had to work a full day shift.
Though annoyed, she could only comfort herself with the thought: At least I get the whole day off tomorrow.
Because Roseithe had covered the entire bathroom with a barrier before entering, even the loud noise just now from the bath hadn’t been noticed by the receptionist.
She remained undisturbed, peacefully asleep.
Judging by the smile on her lips, she was probably dreaming about some white knight and a romantic rendezvous.
“Knock knock!”
The wooden counter was tapped, followed by a slight vibration felt by her resting body.
As a diligent employee, the receptionist hadn’t fallen into a deep sleep.
Even that small movement was enough to wake her.
“…Hello, may I help you?”
She forced herself to perk up and stood up, looking at the person in front of her.
“Oh, it’s you, Miss Lanafit. Do you need something?”
Standing there was none other than Lanafit, who had just been in the bath earlier.
Now, her damp gray-white hair was tied up, and her usually fair skin had a faint rosy hue from the hot soak.
How should one put it—she had gained a touch of mature charm, along with a hint of sensuality.
Even as a woman, the receptionist couldn’t help but be briefly stunned by her beauty.
“Um… I’d like to book another room, if that’s possible?”
Lanafit felt quite bad for disturbing someone in the middle of the night, but…
She glanced behind her at Roseithe, who was staring at her with glowing eyes, like a starving wolf who had just spotted a juicy piece of meat.
Lanafit had no doubt—if they shared a bed tonight, she was going to lose something very important.
“Are you unhappy with the room? We could upgrade you to a deluxe suite—”
“It’s not that. I, uh… my sister showed up suddenly, and it’s a bit cramped with just one bed, so I wanted to get another room.”
Though she really didn’t want to call her that, Lanafit couldn’t think of a better label on the spot and settled on calling Roseithe her sister.
For some reason, she could feel Roseithe’s gaze behind her turning even more dangerous.
“Sister…?”
The receptionist blinked in confusion and looked around Lanafit, seeing no one.
Just then, her vision blurred—and a stunningly beautiful woman in a scarlet gown suddenly appeared in front of her.
Who else could it be but Roseithe?
But what left the receptionist utterly speechless wasn’t the sudden appearance—it was her face.
What kind of beauty level is this? Is she even real?
Though the receptionist had long accepted she wasn’t as attractive as Lanafit, she had always found solace in her figure.
But now, facing Roseithe—whose looks even outshined Lanafit, with those outrageously eye-catching assets—she fell into despair.
And Lanafit had just called her “sister”?
Good heavens… what kind of genes run in this family?
Both sisters are goddesses!
Especially the older sister—if the Goddess of Love herself, Roseithe Elodé, descended to the mortal world, she would look no different!
At this point, the receptionist was already hating her own fate.
If only she had been born into Lanafit’s family—with looks like that, would she still be wasting her youth working the front desk of a small inn?
She’d probably already be married to a noble or living in a palace as a royal consort.
As the receptionist continued to fantasize wildly, Lanafit sighed and shot a glare at Roseithe behind her.
We agreed you wouldn’t come out! Great—now look, the poor girl’s brain has short-circuited!
But instead of looking remorseful, Roseithe responded with a playful gesture—trying to act cute.
It had zero effect on Lanafit.
As for why the receptionist hadn’t noticed Roseithe earlier—it was because she had fused her body into Lanafit’s shadow.
It was a form of dark magic: once fused with the host’s shadow, no one but the host could see her.
Lanafit called to the receptionist a few times, even shaking her lightly, but she remained lost in her dreamlike fantasies.
“Look what you did!” Lanafit scolded.
“Oh come on~ I didn’t think this little girl would have such a dramatic reaction,” Roseithe replied, sticking out her tongue before turning her attention to the dazed receptionist.
She studied the young woman’s face with great interest.
“Well, since Lanafit-chan can’t wake her up… let me handle this!”
“Wait, what are you—”
Before Lanafit could finish her protest, her eyes went wide in alarm.
With a flash, Roseithe had already slipped behind the counter.
One arm wrapped snugly around the receptionist’s slender waist, while the other hand tilted up her chin.
In a sultry, magnetic voice, she whispered right into the girl’s ear:
“What’s this? My appearance has you so dazed? You’d better be careful~ If you let your guard down, I just might eat you up~”
“…Eh?”
Pulled abruptly out of her fantasy, the receptionist was yanked back into reality.
Her eyes met Roseithe’s impossibly stunning face up close—first she panicked, and then… her cheeks began to flush red.
She couldn’t bring herself to meet Roseithe’s eyes.
“Hehehe, you’re adorable. I’m tempted to leave a mark on those cute lips of yours, a little something to claim you. So, what do you say? Want to come to my room tonight? I’ll show you pleasures you’ve never even dreamed of.”
“Th-this isn’t right… Miss Guest, we can’t…”
“Why not? As long as we’re both willing… what in this world could possibly stop us?”
Still flushed red, the receptionist trembled as Roseithe’s alluring voice continued to drift into her ears, her breath warm and fragrant like flowers.
The poor girl looked like she might melt on the spot.
She tried to mount a weak protest, but with Roseithe’s breathtaking face inches from hers, she couldn’t hold out.
Her head drooped, and in a whisper as soft as a mosquito, she muttered:
“…I-I’ve never done this before… Please be gentle…”
Off to the side, Lanafit was completely dumbfounded.
Watching Roseithe openly flirt with the receptionist—and worse, sealing the deal in just a few lines—left her stunned.
She thought of her own 20-something years of being single and… untouched.
Her heart ached.
This hurts.
But while she was shaken by Roseithe’s outrageous seduction skills, there was no way Lanafit was going to let her corrupt this poor girl any further.
Just as Roseithe’s lips were about to meet the receptionist’s, Lanafit grabbed her by the hair and yanked the two of them apart.
