The process of feeding that followed wasn’t nearly as suggestive as it had appeared before.
After Hill “kindly” helped the shy young lady on the sofa remove her stockings, she put away those less proper thoughts. With cool fingers, she held one of her legs and gently caressed it, searching for the most suitable spot to bite.
Although the petite, lovely feet of Letty were her secret favorite, they weren’t the right place to bite and drink blood. As for the thighs, while they felt nice to the touch, the fat and muscle layers were too thick for Hill to sink her fangs that deep just yet.
So, the only suitable place left was the calf.
Relying on her instincts as a member of the Bloodkin, Hill quickly pinpointed the best spot. But after all, the person before her was not a prey, but a friend—someone who was willingly offering her body as his food. Hill felt she couldn’t, and shouldn’t, act with the slightest roughness. She had to be as gentle as possible, to give Letty the best experience she could.
She softly patted the back of the girl’s leg, signaling her to relax, then, with a gaze filled with appreciation and careful scrutiny, she slowly searched for the perfect spot.
Letty was, after all, an inexperienced young girl. As a noble, the mighty Montbatten family had protected her well, so she knew little of such matters. This situation was just like the secrets noble girls whispered to each other in their boudoirs—except this time, the other party wasn’t the heir of some famous house, nor a silver-tongued bard, but a beautiful girl.
Her mind was in chaos as she kept hypnotizing herself: Hill is just hungry. She’s only feeding. I just need to imagine myself as food, that’s all. There’s nothing hard about that, right?
Compared to magic, compared to tedious etiquette lessons, compared to the expectant gaze of her mother that always brought her pressure… what did this matter?
Besides, Hill was already gentle enough. What more could she ask for?
She was only giving up a few hundred milliliters of blood, and in return, she could fill her friend’s stomach and accept the guidance of a promising mage apprentice with a clear conscience.
It was obvious Letty’s self-hypnosis worked. Her body gradually relaxed, which was exactly what Hill wanted to see.
She spoke softly, “Very good, Miss Letty. Then please forgive my rudeness for what’s about to happen.”
Letty’s reply was barely a whisper, “Mm…”
Hill leaned over, brought Letty’s calf closer, and positioned her mouth over the spot she’d chosen. Her soft, slightly cool lips touched the girl’s delicate skin—it was like cotton candy meeting a cloud.
A strange electric current ran through both girls, bringing about a peculiar sensation—as if they were standing at the edge of a cliff, or seeing the last straw that would break the camel’s back. They knew there was an abyss below, knew that from this day their relationship might undergo a fundamental change, but Letty only let out a sigh full of suggestion, while Hill couldn’t wait to extend her fangs.
Pfft…
Of course, there wasn’t really such a sound. Hill’s fangs were sharp and slender, and her movements were light and swift. So even though Letty had tensed up, Hill still managed to seize the brief moment when she relaxed, and bit down.
There was hardly any noise at all—only the girl’s soft, unconscious gasp, which was both instinctive and a mark of Hill’s respect for the meal before her.
After Hill’s fangs sank into the girl’s flesh, it was obvious that the environment wasn’t as good as last time. If the human neck was, to the Bloodkin, a paradise flowing with milk and honey, then the calf was much more barren in comparison.
Of course, Hill wasn’t picky. This didn’t affect the taste or quality of the blood—it only added a bit more fun and challenge to the meal.
Time passed little by little. Letty felt her calf grow sore and numb, but as the Bloodkin’s toxin spread, it turned back into that same swollen, itchy feeling as before. Gradually, she felt an unprecedented sense of relaxation. Without noticing, the leg Hill held in her arms seemed to float atop the clouds.
Hill’s previously empty stomach was now filled with warm blood, her mouth full of the girl’s fresh, fragrant scent, making her almost drunk on its sweetness.
So delicious, so satisfying… If only I could do this every day…
No, no—if it were every day, even if she only took a little each time, Letty absolutely couldn’t endure it.
After drinking several hundred milliliters of blood, Hill finally drew out her fangs, then burped contentedly, not caring about her image at all.
“Thank you for the meal!” Hill said sincerely, “Dearest, generous Miss Letty. Thank you for allowing this humble, insignificant Bloodkin to enjoy a feast once again.”
Hearing these words, Letty, lying on the sofa and looking half-asleep, finally opened her eyes.
Just now, it was as if she had fallen asleep, drifting through a dream, yet at the same time, she could clearly feel her friend Hill drinking her blood. The sensation of her strength being drawn away, bit by bit, wasn’t as unpleasant as she’d imagined; in fact, it was unexpectedly comfortable, thanks to Hill’s gentle care.
As a Bloodkin, to make hunting easier and lure unsuspecting prey, their toxin also contained a substance that could grant people a sense of “pleasure.”
Whether this was produced depended entirely on the Bloodkin’s mood. If they wished, the toxin could instead become something that caused excruciating pain.
Obviously, Hill couldn’t bear to harm such a naïve, beautiful, and youthful girl—much less her best friend.
“Hill…” Letty struggled to open her eyes, a wave of drowsiness hanging over her like a cloud, making her want to fall asleep on the spot.
“What is it, my dear Letty?”
With her stomach full, Hill was in a great mood, her face radiating a relaxed, lazy smile. She crawled up from the carpet to the sofa, snuggling close to Letty’s soft, boneless body, and affectionately brought her face closer.
Smelling the scent on the girl, Letty finally perked up, though her speech was still a bit muddled, “Hill… are you full?”
“Of course.” Hill greedily inhaled the fragrance of the girl beside her—it was the same as what she had just swallowed.
“Is it really enough?” Letty worried that Hill, kind as she was, might have held back for her sake and was still hungry. “You really don’t have to be polite. I’ve already said, I’m willing to be your food. As food, how could I let someone go hungry?”
Sensing things were going off track, Hill quickly pressed Letty back down, saying, “I really am full! And you—your job now is to take care of your body, don’t get sick, and especially don’t get hurt, or it’ll spoil my meal! Do you hear me?”
Though she sounded threatening, she was actually just concerned.
Letty understood the meaning behind her words, and the corners of her lips lifted in a gentle smile.
Being friends with Hill was truly the best.
