Su Yu first went to school to complete the procedures for returning to class.
Once everything at school was settled, he set off for Qin Shou’s company, a little excited.
He was planning to give Qin Shou a surprise.
When Su Yu arrived, it happened to be lunchtime.
He first went to a hotel to get some takeout, then, leading his entourage, grandly headed for Qin Shou’s company.
Leaving the bodyguards outside, Su Yu went in alone.
He arrived at the reception desk.
The receptionist, seeing that he was by himself, politely asked, “Hello, sir. May I ask who you’re looking for?”
Su Yu flashed a bright smile. “I’m here to see your boss.”
The receptionist was taken aback.
She clearly hadn’t expected this cute-looking young man to be here for the CEO, but out of professional courtesy, she still politely asked, “Do you have an appointment?”
Su Yu wrinkled his nose, clearly forgetting that his own “hubby” was a busy CEO and not so easy to meet.
It seemed the surprise he’d planned wouldn’t go as expected.
Su Yu gave an embarrassed smile, “I forgot to make an appointment. Could you please notify him on the internal line for me?”
He added, “Just say my name is Su Yu—he’ll know.”
The receptionist found Su Yu quite likable and couldn’t bear to refuse him.
She nodded, a bit sceptical, and dialed the CEO’s internal line.
But before she could finish dialing, someone pressed down on her hand, cutting her off.
The receptionist looked up, annoyed—anyone would be unhappy to be interrupted so rudely.
But when she saw who it was, she could only swallow her anger and respectfully lowered her head.
“Secretary Zhang.”
The woman addressed as Secretary Zhang glanced coldly at the meek receptionist and spoke sharply and harshly.
“Is the CEO someone that just any random stray can meet?”
She even shot the receptionist a look.
“Next time, don’t just let anyone in.”
The receptionist gave Su Yu an apologetic glance, bowing her head in silence.
Su Xiaoyun stared in astonishment at Secretary Zhang’s little performance, but couldn’t be bothered to argue with a woman.
He simply pulled out his phone and dialed Qin Shou’s number.
The call was answered instantly, and Qin Shou’s gentle voice came through.
“Baby, did you miss me?”
Su Xiaoyu replied, not expecting the man to be so shameless right from the start.
But seeing the smug secretary beside him, Xiaoyu pouted, a little displeased.
“I’m at your company’s front desk. Come down and get me.”
Qin Shou paused, quickly realizing that Su Yu must have run into some trouble.
“Wait for me, one minute.”
“Okay.”
Su Yu hung up with a grin.
He shot a mischievous glance at the arrogant secretary, wondering what expression Secretary Zhang would have on her face when her boss came down to greet him personally.
Sure enough, Qin Shou came down quickly.
When he saw Su Yu standing at the front desk with a lunchbox, he quickened his pace, walked over, and ruffled his hair gently.
“Why did you suddenly come over today?”
Su Yu grinned, showing eight teeth, and tilted his head.
“Am I not welcome?”
Qin Shou couldn’t help but laugh, looking at him helplessly.
“I’d be more than happy to have you.”
The two exchanged a smile.
Qin Shou took the lunchbox from Su Yu and led him by the hand toward the elevator.
They completely ignored the people nearby who wanted to speak.
Zhang Manager watched the two leave with an unwilling expression.
The receptionist was utterly dumbfounded—she never expected such a slap in the face to come so quickly.
She gave the now livid secretary a sympathetic glance, secretly gloating and lighting a candle for her in her heart.
This wasn’t Su Yu’s first time in Qin Shou’s office.
He’d been here once before, back when he’d turned into a cat.
Familiar with the place, he put down the things and then collapsed bonelessly on the sofa.
Qin Shou set out the food he’d brought and called Su Yu over to eat together.
Su Yu shook his head.
“I already ate before I left home. You eat, I’ll just watch.”
Qin Shou smiled suggestively.
“Then feed me.”
Su Xiaoyue’s face turned bright red, stunned by Qin Shou’s shamelessness.
But not wanting to lose, he steeled himself and actually picked up the chopsticks, feeding Qin Shou bite by bite.
Qin Shou was a little surprised, but happily accepted the good fortune delivered to his mouth, enjoying the meal as Su Yu fed him.
Su Yu was left speechless.
He felt that finding such a shameless man was a terrible idea.
He was defeated in an instant.
After feeding Qin Shou, Su Xiaoyu tried to get his dignity back, lifting his chin to look at Qin Shou.
“Good boy, are you full?”
Qin Shou replied with a sly, lingering smile, “Daddy, baby’s not full yet.”
As he spoke, he deliberately glanced at Su Yu’s lower half.
You win.
Su Yu realized he was no match for this old rascal, so he abruptly changed the topic.
“Starting tomorrow, I’ll be going back to school.”
Qin Shou didn’t tease him further, following his lead.
“You haven’t been to school for months. Will you be able to adjust?”
Su Yu pouted.
“There’s nothing much to adjust to. But I’ll probably have trouble keeping up with the classes.”
Qin Shou laughed, pulling him into his arms and ruffling his hair again.
“Don’t push yourself too hard. Just be happy.”
Su Xiaoyu looked at him disdainfully.
“Why do you sound just like my mom?”
“Huh? Our mom said the same thing?”
Su Xiaoyu turned his head in Qin Shou’s embrace, grumbling, “What my mom actually said was: ‘Anyway, you don’t have to worry about food or clothing at home. Whether you go to school or not doesn’t matter.’”
Su Yu was exasperated.
“Do I really look like a rice weevil to you?”
Qin Shou almost burst out laughing, struggling to hold it in.
He comforted hypocritically, “Our mom is just worried about your health. Once you’re fully recovered, she won’t worry so much.”
Su Xiaoyu made a face at him.
“You call her so intimately; are you actually in cahoots with my mom?”
Qin Shou pinched his nose suggestively, pressed close, and whispered in Su Xiaole’s ear, “You still don’t know who I’m in cahoots with?”
Su Xiaoyu was speechless.
How could this guy be so flirty all the time?
Can’t he go a single day without being in heat?
He felt full of sourness.
Absolutely exhausting.
The two of them snuggled for a while before Qin Shou went off to handle company business.
Su Xiaoyu didn’t feel bored alone.
He pulled a novel from the bookshelf and lay on the sofa, reading slowly.
He read as he waited for Qin Shou to finish his work, so he could take him home!
Taking his boyfriend home—just thinking about it made him happy.
With Su Yu nearby, Qin Shou felt he worked much more efficiently.
He finished up quickly, and the two happily went home hand in hand.
When they reached the front desk, Qin Shou remembered what happened earlier and his face turned cold.
He said to the receptionist, “Next time Ah Yu comes, just let him in.”
The receptionist trembled in fright and answered in a small voice.
“And also,” Qin Shou added, “who was that earlier? Notify HR—she doesn’t need to come in tomorrow.”
The receptionist looked at her boss with starry eyes.
Boss getting angry for his blue beauty.
Our CEO is so domineering.
At the same time, she secretly gloated—Secretary Zhang’s little schemes weren’t as hidden as she thought! Now she’s hit a steel plate!
The two drove home.
Su Yu noisily insisted on dragging Qin Shou to the supermarket.
Ever since the night of the car accident, Qin Shou had felt a chill all over.
He wanted to refuse, but seeing Su Yu’s excited and expectant eyes, he nodded and agreed.
But instead of going to the nearby supermarket downstairs, he took Su Xiaoyu to a slightly farther one.
Su Xiaoyu just thought it was on the way, never guessing that the cool and aloof CEO still had some old superstitions—he thought the supermarket where the accident happened was unlucky.
After shopping, Qin Shou held Su Yu’s hand with one hand and the shopping bags with the other, keeping Su Yu close by his side, even sweating a little from his palm.
Only then did Su Yu notice something was off.
He rubbed Qin Shou’s cold hand and asked, “What’s wrong with your hand? Why is it so cold all of a sudden?”
Qin Shou forced a smile.
“It’s nothing.”
Su Yu reached out to touch his face, looking at the cars on the road, and suddenly realized what was going on.
In the end, he said nothing, just squeezed Qin Shou’s hand tightly in return.
Letting the other protect him, their hands tightly clasped, they went home.
After returning home, Qin Shou’s mood clearly relaxed a lot.
The house was still clean, but since they hadn’t been back much recently, there was a thin layer of dust on the table.
Qin Shou took the groceries into the kitchen to cook.
Su Yu volunteered to clean up, putting on a cute little yellow duck apron and grabbing a rag to wipe left and right.
Qin Shou saw this from the kitchen and shook his head helplessly, then started preparing the ingredients.
By the time Su Yu was almost done tidying up, Qin Shou had finished frying the steak.
He placed the carefully prepared steak on the table, poured the wine, and the two of them sat across from each other at the dining table.
A bouquet of roses sat in the middle of the table.
The lights in the living room were dimmed, and the atmosphere instantly became intimate.
Su Yu shyly touched his nose and muttered softly, “It’s just a meal, why make it so fancy?”
Qin Shou tilted his head and smiled, raising his glass.
“To celebrate your first time… coming home as my boyfriend.”
Su Yu raised his glass and clinked it with Qin Shou’s, his eyes sparkling.
They looked at each other and smiled, then slowly drank the wine in their glasses.
