The night was deep.
The lights of the Sword Saint’s Mansion gradually dimmed, except for Yelena’s private chamber, where a faint red glow remained.
That was the magical barrier that Yiweite had Anna set up earlier.
Anna followed Yiweite’s instructions and went back to rest.
However, Yiweite was now in crisis, and many things required her to solve on her own.
Yelena in front called Yiweite over, her face beaming with a smile.
Between her lips, the taste of lotus seed soup still lingered.
“Clear Heart Lotus Seed Soup is here~”
“Thank you, my little chef! Hurry and bring it over~”
Yiweite immediately stood up, respectfully took the food from Yelena’s hands, and began to devour it with a spoon.
But just as Yiweite was halfway through eating, things started to go wrong.
A numbing sensation made her tongue go numb, and the subsequent spiciness caused her throat and stomach to have a rejection reaction.
Her pace of eating the soup slowed, and her facial expression became grimacing.
“So numb! So spicy!!” Yiweite continued to plead, “Yelena, quick! Give me water!”
“What? Is my cooking not to your liking~”
Yelena deliberately stretched out the ending tone, her pomegranate-red fox eyes narrowed slightly, tinged with a hint of playfulness.
“Oh my, look at my bad memory, I forgot to prepare water. Eating soup is such a wonderful thing~”
“No! The texture of your ingredients is really not a problem, but… I feel like I can’t… continue eating…”
“You always used to eat my cooking cleanly before, why are you unwilling today? You actually started to dislike me, boohoo…”
Yelena’s little scheme carried a punitive attitude. The corners of her lips curved up first, then she pretended to cry, wiping tears with her sleeve.
Yiweite finally understood that she was gradually falling into the other’s trap.
Her own little fox, how had she become a bit off… a bit dramatic…
She was stimulated by the strong pepper and numbing spiciness to the point that nasal mucus flowed out, so she had to sniff and temporarily make it go back.
Should she continue eating…
Her throat and stomach were now sending protests and wails to her brain.
Then she asked in a trembling voice, “Do I really have to… keep drinking…”
“It’s fine, quickly drink it while it’s hot, drink, drink!”
Yelena’s voice suddenly rose, and switching to squinty-eyed mode, her face was full of deceptive kindness.
No way… Yiweite swallowed a few mouthfuls of saliva, trying to relieve the burning sensation in her throat.
Her own little chef was clearly here to punish her today.
Yiweite had no choice but to comply. She downed the remaining half bowl of lotus seed soup in one gulp, then wildly stuck out her tongue like a big puppy.
But the red-haired sword saint’s misfortune was not over yet.
“Go back and kneel down. No resisting.”
Yelena’s voice rose a notch, ensuring every word entered the other’s ears clearly.
“Kneel in the corner, hands behind your back. Behave.”
Yiweite said nothing. The numbing and spicy sensation in her mouth still hadn’t stopped. She looked embarrassed but had no choice but to continue obeying.
Yelena fetched a sturdy red ribbon used for wrapping gift boxes and tied it tightly around Yiweite’s wrists.
Then she connected it to the back of Yiweite’s head, and then took out a talisman and stuck it on, creating a small trap.
“Yiweite, kneel honestly until dawn. Don’t try to break free. I know you’re very strong.
When you break free, it will trigger the Explosion Talisman stuck on the back of your head. The consequences are obvious…”
Yelena explained to Yiweite with a serious face, and her tone didn’t sound like a joke.
But in fact, it was all to scare her.
The talisman stuck on the back of Yiweite’s head was actually a Healing Talisman written with red ink in a different way.
However, their Lord Sword Saint really believed it!
Yiweite wasn’t particularly clear about the skill characteristics of the Curse Mage profession.
But thinking that Yelena was still angry and clearly intended to bully her, she naturally didn’t dare to resist.
“…”
Yiweite remained silent, half-lowered her head, and leaned it against the wall in the corner.
She looked like a prisoner about to be executed. Fortunately, no outsiders were here to see, or it would have caused quite a few laughs.
Looking at the corner of the room, it seemed like there was a dark cloud over Yiweite’s head, raining lightly indoors. Yelena paid her no attention.
The little fox girl yawned and turned to walk toward the bed.
She lazily lay back on the bed, and her nine fox radish tails finally obediently spread out without tangling.
She closed her eyes, and after a long while, she pulled the blanket over herself, then said softly:
“Lights out, good night, Lord Sword Saint.”
“…”
On the bed, Yelena saw that Yiweite didn’t reply and finally couldn’t help but let out a soft laugh.
After laughing, she quickly fell asleep.
Yiweite pricked up her ears, and within five minutes, she heard the soft sound of snoring coming from the bed.
Her heart grew even more desperate.
‘What should I do… Anna went to sleep… And now the little fox is sleeping peacefully too…’
‘Help…’
She began to repent, carefully recalling the cause and effect of tonight.
From Yiweite’s observation, the earlier part was normal, but it was because afterward she couldn’t control the scale…
But now this development, this humiliation…
And she fell asleep without a care, no matter how you think about it, something is off!
Yiweite felt that if her little fox girl continued like this, she would sooner or later lose her family status.
Not to mention losing family status, would it develop some sadistic tendencies in Yelena in the future?
However, Yiweite was more inclined to believe that Yelena was currently just in the realm of pranks.
The Explosion Talisman on the back of her head probably still needed Yelena to actively cast a spell for it to explode.
She was also a bit sleepy. She leaned her head against the wall and rested with her eyes closed for a while.
But this uncomfortable posture made it impossible to fall asleep.
Her legs were already a bit numb from kneeling…
No! Yiweite thought she needed some extreme measures to break the situation.
A flash of inspiration came to her, but she herself thought it was stupid and embarrassing.
Even saying, pretending like this would be a bit cringey.
She hadn’t thought of doing such an act in a long time; the last time was when she was very young.
But now, there really was no other way; her smooth talk no longer worked on the other party.
…
Yelena’s sweet dream was disturbed by a crying noise not far away.
“Wahhh!! So sleepy, so tired, so uncomfortable!! Boohoo…”
The red-haired sword saint kneeling in the corner was crying loudly, completely acting like a three-year-old.
Hearing the noise, Yelena got up and walked toward Yiweite.
The red-haired girl trembled all over, crying pitifully.
Yelena was momentarily dumbfounded by this situation.
Yiweite, who was always carefree and had a boyish personality, was actually crying with pear-blossom-like tears.
“What’s wrong… are you very uncomfortable?”
“My hands are tied, my feet are numb, my waist and back have been tense the whole time, it’s so uncomfortable! Wahhhh!!”
Yelena had never really treated anyone like this before.
Today counted as a first in another sense.
She hadn’t considered the comfort level of the punished person, even though this person was the one who had always truly cherished her.
Her heart inexplicably ached a little.
After all, Yiweite was still a girl. No matter how strong and imposing she was in dealing with others outside, no matter what.
There was always a soft spot in her heart, she just didn’t show it on normal days.
This wasn’t the usual Yiweite, and her performance didn’t seem fake.
Perhaps she had really bullied Yiweite a bit too much.
The little fox girl quickly ran to the dressing table, took scissors from the drawer, and untied Yiweite.
Then she removed the ‘Healing Talisman’ stuck on the back of her head and slowly helped Yiweite up.
“Uh… well… tonight, let’s call it even. I’ve been sound asleep for two hours, sorry…”
Yiweite, still pretending to be weak, her tears didn’t stop, making small sobbing sounds, walking with a limp.
“I’m really sorry, Yelena… the main mistake tonight was mine.”
“Hey~ Alright, alright, I’ve calmed down. I’ll make your bed now. A soft quilt on the tatami is also great.”
“I also want… another serving of a normally made late-night snack…”
Yiweite’s voice grew softer, as if pleading, asking Yelena for lotus seed soup.
Yelena couldn’t handle the sudden contrast.
She had never seen Yiweite so pitiful and adorable.
“Don’t worry, I’ll make a fresh one right away, more attentive than the one I ate!”
Hearing this, Yiweite secretly rejoiced in her heart.
It seemed that tonight’s battle was still her victory.
