Bai Xiaoya’s Wednesday was… hard to describe, but a lot happened.
First, she dared to confront the second destined female lead—the blonde loli Su Qingyu—and tried to expose her true nature: cruel and ruthless.
Unexpectedly, she was wrong.
Instead, Su Qingyu used a mysterious mouth organ and flute to control her, dragging her back home and tying her to the bed.
Then, they did some shady things.
Huh, why does this feel a little familiar?
Anyway, while having those shady moments with Su Qingyu, Bai Xiaoya accidentally discovered her true form and successfully completed her mission.
Later, Bai Xia came knocking, investigating her parents’ past.
It turned out Su Qingyu came from a mysterious Management Family and knew a lot of inside information.
The two clashed over it at first, but after Bai Xiaoya mediated and they talked calmly, they put aside their differences and agreed to work together to uncover the secrets of the past.
From Bai Xiaoya’s perspective, that was how her day went.
Though there were still many puzzles—like how Bai Xia and Su Qingyu’s conversation had many illogical parts that made no sense to her—and a bunch of minor issues.
But Bai Xiaoya’s brain was already overheating, so she decided to put those thoughts aside for now.
After all, isn’t this pretty good for now?
“The Erdwins Pocket Watch was originally in some unknown village in the Little Asia region. Its previous owner, Erdwins, used it to rule his hometown, turning it into a puppet town.”
Su Qingyu hugged a file folder, the cover emblazoned with the family’s emblem—a traditional-style lock.
Inside the folder were records about the pocket watch.
“That terrifying?”
Bai Xiaoya exclaimed, glancing at Bai Xia.
“Don’t look at me. I can’t do it,” Bai Xia said expressionlessly.
“Not yet.”
Right now, she could only move the second hand, with limited effect.
Bai Xiaoya blinked: “Then why did you say last time it wasn’t yours, and even gave it to me…”
“Yaya, let’s talk about that at home, okay?”
Bai Xia looked at Su Qingyu.
“Why stop now?”
Su Qingyu glanced at both of them a few times, took the folder, and continued: “After Erdwins died, the pocket watch’s whereabouts were unknown for years. Being an item of extremely high danger level, it doesn’t easily accept a new master. Later, it appeared in a foreign trade transaction.”
The blonde loli spread the folder open on the bed: “People involved in this business, besides Baibai Trading, there are two others. One named Xing Luo, and the other Long Shenyuan.”
Bai Xiaoya shrugged, revealing clear eyes.
She’d only been in this world for half a month; even if these were famous names, she didn’t recognize them.
“By the way, the family member who acted as an intermediary died unexpectedly during the civil war two years ago,” Su Qingyu added.
Bai Xia thought for a moment and suddenly said, “Xing Luo, Long Shenyuan… so it was them.”
Huh, they really are well-known people?
Bai Xiaoya whispered, “Um, I’m not really into entertainment news—who are these two?”
“Not exactly entertainment figures,” Su Qingyu sat on the bed and pouted toward the window.
“But they’re quite famous locally in Baiyuan City.”
Bai Xiaoya stood and looked out the window.
The late May sky was still clear; the city’s skyscrapers rose one after another, standing out among the clusters of buildings.
Bai Xia pointed to one: “Xinglong Group, a local company that’s risen remarkably in recent years.”

“Don’t forget the agreement.”
“I’m not going to mess around at school. You’re the one who should watch out—don’t get caught by your parents at home, or you won’t be able to come.”
“Hmph, that will never happen.”
Since today wasn’t a good time, they agreed to go to Xinglong Group together on Saturday.
For now, they had to return to school.
Before leaving, Bai Xia and Su Qingyu had the above exchange.
“Never happen? What do you mean?”
Su Qingyu cupped her hands.
“Never mess around at home, or never get caught by your parents?”
Obviously the latter.
Bai Xia thought so in her heart and sneered coldly: “None of your business.”
Beep beep beep—a car horn honked on the road.
“My taxi’s here,” Bai Xiaoya waved from a distance, calling out to them.
“Let’s get in~”
Today could be considered a win-win—at least from the busty girl’s perspective.
The mission was complete, clues about her biological parents surfaced, and she’d heard many stories.
What a wonderful day.
Su Qingyu was happy too, sitting in the car with the window rolled down, her golden hair blowing in the wind.
For her, today was a reward and a joy… though somewhat fleeting.
Only Bai Xia wasn’t very happy, sitting coldly in the back seat near the window, which was fogging up.
It was the first time she’d found the clue she longed for and the first time she didn’t have to face it alone.
She had allies to fight alongside—and yet why did she feel so uneasy?
“Bai Xia,” Bai Xiaoya called to her, “the High School Division stop is here. You should get off.”
“That’s right,” Su Qingyu shook her feet happily.
“You should get off too, little Bai from the High School Division.”
Alright, alright.
Got a new favorite, huh?
No wonder she didn’t come to mess around last weekend.
Bai Xia opened the car door, glanced at Su Qingyu first, then at Bai Xiaoya.
“Wait for me this weekend!”
The black-haired straight-haired girl got out; the taxi restarted and headed toward Baiyuan University.
Bai Xiaoya was still thinking about Bai Xia’s final look, a little confused: “Why did she glare at me?”
Su Qingyu hugged Bai Xiaoya’s arm and blinked innocently: “Aya, since we shared the same taxi, your sister won’t be mad, right?”
“Huh?”
Was that why she glared at me?
No way, that makes no sense.
“Your sister’s scary,” Su Qingyu said softly.
“Unlike me—I’d only…”
“We’re here.”
The driver slammed on the brakes.
Baiyuan University was like this—the High School and University Divisions weren’t far apart.
Though she’d skipped two classes, arriving now meant she could just make it before the third period in the afternoon and even get to class earlier than most students.
Bai Xiaoya went to her usual seat while Su Qingyu headed toward a corner where she’d been sitting since arriving.
Soon, classmates began filing into the classroom one by one.
“She’s still not back. Do you think she won’t come back tonight either?”
“Hard to say, but if she doesn’t come back tonight, it means she definitely went somewhere.”
Gu Yun and He Lili chatted as they walked and looked up to find Bai Xiaoya already seated, waiting for them.
“Xiaoxiao, you’re back?”
Gu Yun was surprised.
“We were just talking about you.”
“Yeah, some things happened. Anyway,” Bai Xiaoya exhaled softly, “I’m back.”
Her two roommates immediately surrounded her.
“So, you went to confront Su Qingyu this morning, then neither of you showed up this afternoon—did something happen?”
