Junior Brother Tuolong had been humiliated again and again, but he still hadn’t lost his composure.
“You think you understand my Peerless City’s sword path?” He stared at Bai Wuzhuang, sword leveled in front of him, pressing on with his questioning.
“Understand your damn fart, you stupid mutt.” Bai Wuzhuang’s little mouth spat out insults sharply.
“Brother Mo, please help me.” Tuolong called out.
“No problem.” Prisoner Old Mo took a step forward, coming to Tuolong’s side, wielding a pair of Emerald Blood Scimitars in both hands.
” Tch!” Bai Wuzhuang clicked her tongue, her expression growing uglier.
“What should we do?” Chi Xue was also sweating buckets.
The reason was simple—both Chi Xue and herself were just too weak, their strength compared to the enemy’s was like a fart in the wind.
“If we kill them all, the Wolf Pack is guaranteed to win.” Tuolong said.
“Don’t, Brother Long. Look at those two, delicate and tender. Those little girls obviously haven’t even opened their treasures yet, can’t just let them leave before tasting something good! Hehehe, I want to properly enjoy them first.” Prisoner Old Mo licked his blade with his tongue, his face twisted with lecherous intent.
“As long as Brother Mo’s happy, but remember to kill them after you’re done. You need to be careful of that white-haired girl, though; she seems to understand my sword path. I’ll have to ask you to handle her, Brother Mo.” Tuolong said with a light chuckle.
“Hehehe! No problem! Leave it to me!” Prisoner Old Mo lunged forward, both blades crossing as he gathered force for a sliding slash.
But at that very instant, the feeble expressions on Bai Wuzhuang and Chi Xue vanished in a flash, replaced with a barely suppressed, mocking grin.
“Huh?” Prisoner Old Mo instantly felt something was off.
It was all an act—because Chi Xue had already reached Bodyguard Sang Biao’s corpse and had activated her Sheepdog Ability.
“Woof!” Suddenly, a deafening Dog King’s bark echoed out.
Behind Chi Xue, the Mysterious Immortal Phantom of a dog-headed figure appeared, throwing a punch straight at Prisoner Old Mo.
That fist carried an unstoppable, infinite power, the surging shockwave filling the entire tunnel.
“My life ends here!” Prisoner Old Mo had no space at all to dodge; his twin blades felt like nothing more than toothpicks before such force.
Yet, at the critical moment, a different Immortal Power erupted from Prisoner Old Mo’s body—one that wasn’t his own—instantly transforming into a sturdy Tortoise Shell.
“Boom!” A tremendous crash!
The invincible dog-headed Immortal’s heavy punch landed squarely on the Immortal Tortoise Shell, the two forces canceling each other out.
“Huh?” Prisoner Old Mo felt as if he’d just walked past the Gate of Death itself, escaping with his life, collapsing to the ground with a face drained of color.
“Eh?” Chi Xue was equally shocked, unable to comprehend what had happened.
“What’s going on?” Tuolong had already retreated a few steps, putting as much distance between himself and the chaos as possible.
“Goddamn… that damned Feng mongrel…” Only Bai Wuzhuang understood what had just happened, and she was so furious she was practically fuming.
“What was that?” Chi Xue shouted.
“That’s the [White Sheep]’s protection ability. Feng Shaoye, that pig-headed fool, protected Prisoner Old Mo this round.” Bai Wuzhuang explained through clenched teeth, her voice barely above a whisper.
“So what do we do now?” Chi Xue froze when she heard this.
Bai Wuzhuang’s jaw was shaking, her hands and feet gone cold—this unexpected twist meant the Lambs had lost their best chance to kill the Second Wolf King. From here on out, there would hardly be another opening.
With the two of them left, they couldn’t even defeat the powerless Wolf King Lao Mo or Shadow Wolf Tuolong.
“Escape first, blow the flute.” Bai Wuzhuang called.
“Ah, right! No need to ring the bell now.” Chi Xue immediately blew the Deceased’s Ocarina.
Although the Bronze Bell was right ahead, with the bodyguard’s corpse at their feet, there was no need to strike the bell now.
“Woo! Woo! Woo! Woo!”
In an instant, several Void Rifts appeared, sucking everyone inside; nobody could move to kill any further.
But Bai Wuzhuang’s expression was still grim.
Because next round, both the Wolf King and Shadow Wolf would regain their abilities, and the Lambs would have even less hope.
To be pushed to such a desperate strait—could even the Time Reversal Ability not save them? Who would have thought it would all be ruined by a Pig Teammate in the end!
No! There must still be a way to turn this around.
Bai Wuzhuang, think! Find a way!
Hey! She really did think of something!
“Don’t expose your identity.”
Just as the Void Rift was sucking them away, Bai Wuzhuang whispered a reminder.
Did Chi Xue hear it?
But that was the one, final gambit in my comeback from behind.
In a blink, all surviving Qi Cultivators were teleported back to the White Tiger Hall.
Feng Shaoye, Dong Huiting, Bai Wuzhuang, Chi Xue, Tuolong, Sage Xun, Lao Mo—seven people in total still alive.
“Damned Feng mongrel! Look at what you protected!?” As soon as she landed, Bai Wuzhuang unleashed a torrent of curses at Feng Shaoye.
“Are you alright? What happened?” Dong Huiting exclaimed, rushing to Bai Wuzhuang’s side.
She circled Bai Wuzhuang, checking if anything was wrong. Thankfully, she was unharmed.
“You’re such a Pig Teammate! Why didn’t you protect me, the White Sheep? What’s the point of your protection? You really are a pighead!”
But Bai Wuzhuang was furious, glaring at Feng Shaoye and rudely jabbing her finger in his face as she berated him.
“Why are you yelling at me, you crazy slave?!” Feng Shaoye looked baffled by the scolding.
Bai Wuzhuang wanted to keep yelling, but the Mysterious Immortal Phantom suddenly appeared.
At the same time, two bodyguards’ corpses materialized on the altar, one with a hollowed chest, the other run through—both with eyes wide open in death.
“Speak in order.” The Immortal Phantom pointed to Chi Xue.
Everyone fell silent, their mouths sealed shut by an unseen force—no one could speak, even if they wanted to.
Chi Xue pressed her hand to her forehead, taking half a minute to compose herself before she spoke.
“These two bastards were lying in wait inside the Bronze Bell, ambushing and killing two bodyguards. They’re both Wolves. I was acting with Little White Hair the whole time—you saw more clearly than I did, so help fill in the details.” Chi Xue stared at Tuolong and Prisoner Old Mo, her words simple and clear.
Next, it was Bai Wuzhuang’s turn to speak.
She’d been holding in her words, eager for a chance to let them out.
“This person is the Shadow Wolf. His ability is invisibility—one of those two bodyguards was killed by his sneak attack while hidden, despicable as can be. I suspect his power, like the Wolf King’s, can only be used once per round and has a time limit, so next round he’ll be able to go invisible again.”
Bai Wuzhuang pointed at Junior Brother Tuolong first, explaining his power in detail.
“This guy, I checked him out—he’s no good guy, but the hidden class [Weasel]. He’s also a Wolf; it was him who killed the other bodyguard. Just as Chi Xue said, the two of them are in cahoots, lying in wait by the Bronze Bell to kill people.”
Bai Wuzhuang then pointed to Prisoner Old Mo, exposing his hidden identity—the same as Chi Xue had said.
“And finally, you, Pig Teammate…”
Bai Wuzhuang shot a vicious glare at Feng Shaoye.
