Chapter 33: Making You Unable to Live, Unable to Die

Frosi’s pupils suddenly constricted, and she instinctively tried to push Ivy away.

But Ivy held tightly onto Frosi’s neck, her teeth sinking deeply into Frosi’s shoulder.

Frosi’s movement tore at the bitten spot, sending waves of sharper pain through her body.

She gasped sharply, the last remnants of her compassion vanishing in an instant.

Her red eyes grew cold and fierce; the pain was unbearable.

She never expected that Ivy, who she thought had finally calmed down, would turn around and bite her back at a time like this.

She had already decided to let Ivy go, to show mercy.

Yet this little one had chosen to attack her instead.

Frosi let out a bitter laugh, and red mist instantly enveloped her entire body.

The teeth embedded in her shoulder were forced open by the swirling red mist.

As Ivy’s teeth left her skin, Frosi’s expression turned cold.

She slowly pried open the hands around her neck, then gripped Ivy’s throat and lifted her up.

“Do you want to die?”

Frosi tightened her grip slightly, and pain and struggle flashed across Ivy’s face immediately.

“Ha… ha ha…”

Ivy laughed.

Her throat was strangled, her life already counting down, yet she laughed.

She couldn’t produce a full laugh—only fragmented sounds squeezed through her constricted throat.

But Frosi clearly heard it: Ivy was laughing.

The next moment, a mouthful of blood sprayed across Frosi’s face, staining her cheek red.

Ivy’s face wore a smile, her entire body like a broken rag doll hanging limply in Frosi’s grasp.

“Kill… me.”

With all her remaining strength, Ivy forced the words out through clenched teeth.

She couldn’t see Frosi’s expression, but she believed—

Frosi must be furious, right?

She had been hurt by someone so weak, and blood had been spat in her face.

Ivy couldn’t help but laugh out loud at the thought.

She had imagined tearing a piece of flesh from Frosi’s body.

But Frosi’s physical strength was simply too great.

Even though some of Ivy’s shackles had been broken, her body was still far weaker than Frosi’s.

Biting Frosi had already exhausted all of Ivy’s strength.

She believed that before breaking free from her restraints, biting Frosi would have been impossible.

Ivy felt Frosi’s hand slowly tightening on her neck.

Her body instinctively tried to pry Frosi’s hand away, but she was completely powerless.

Life was slipping away, her mind growing blank, suffocation engulfing her.

I’m going to die…

I’m going to die.

Ivy’s consciousness began to blur.

She wanted to see Frosi’s expression one last time.

She thought in her heart.

But the next moment, Ivy suddenly regained her breath.

Before she could even gasp deeply, she fell beneath the water.

Ivy flailed her hands wildly, instinctively trying to breathe but choking instead.

She coughed underwater, but coughing only made her swallow more pool water.

Soon, a sharp pain flared in her head.

Frosi yanked Ivy up by the hair.

“Want to die, huh?”

Frosi’s cold voice rang in Ivy’s ear.

“I never allowed you to die.”

Ivy gasped for air, but after only a few breaths, Frosi pushed her back under the water.

Water rushed into Ivy’s nostrils and filled her stomach through her mouth.

Her soul felt like it was about to leave her body; suffocation struck again.

But soon, Frosi pulled her head back up.

“Like biting, huh?”

Frosi grabbed Ivy’s hair and pulled her face close, speaking coldly.

But Ivy spat in her face again.

Ivy didn’t know exactly where Frosi was, but she instinctively felt they were face-to-face.

Frosi’s breath was spraying across her face—surely she was right in front of her.

So Ivy hesitated no longer; she was determined to fight back.

“Beast.”

Ivy cursed.

She wanted to say more vile things, but Frosi shoved her underwater again.

This time, Ivy was submerged longer than before—long enough that her vision blurred from choking before she was pulled out.

Her eyes were hazy.

She parted her lips to curse again, but no words came out.

She had no strength left.

The adrenaline from before had almost completely faded.

A fatigue heavier than ever filled Ivy’s entire body.

She breathed shallowly, water trickling from the corners of her mouth, slowly dripping into the pool.

Frosi’s expression darkened as she looked at Ivy.

She touched the spot on her shoulder that Ivy had bitten.

The skin was smooth as before; the wound had long since been healed by the blood mist.

But the pain seemed to linger.

“Like cursing, and biting too, huh?”

“Looks like you won’t be talking anymore.”

Frosi said coldly, blood mist surging from Ivy’s mouth and instantly sealing her ability to speak.

Ivy opened her mouth but could only make meaningless sounds—no words came out.

She had become mute.

“Prince, is something going on inside?”

At that moment, a maid’s voice suddenly came from outside the door.

Frosi turned her head, eyes filled with icy killing intent as she stared coldly at the maid who had spoken out of place.

“Get lost. This is none of your business.”

The young maid was terrified by Frosi’s freezing gaze and fled from the bathhouse door on all fours.

Frosi returned her gaze to Ivy.

“Want to die, huh?”

“I’ll make it so you can neither live nor die.”

Frosi said coldly.

But Ivy’s consciousness was already blurred; she could no longer hear what Frosi was saying.

She slowly closed her eyes, her head drooping weakly as she fainted.

But Frosi did not let her go just because she lost consciousness.

She grabbed Ivy’s hair and threw her onto the shore carelessly.

Then she put on the clothes the maid had prepared earlier.

After finishing, Frosi glanced at Ivy lying motionless on the ground.

She hastily dressed Ivy in another set of her own clothes that the maid had left there.

Then she pulled Ivy’s hair, and a teleportation array ignited beneath her feet.

The next moment, Frosi arrived in a dimly lit, enclosed room.

Inside were many interrogation tools—it was clearly an interrogation chamber.

Frosi released Ivy’s hair, and Ivy immediately went limp on the floor.

Frosi brought Ivy’s hands together and grasped them tightly.

Then she lifted Ivy’s hands and bound them securely with ropes hanging from above.

When finished, Frosi looked at Ivy, standing steadily but with her head bowed.

She slowly raised the ropes until Ivy had to stand on tiptoe just to keep her balance.
