Rosily’s Sword Qi flowed from her body, wrapping around her like silver light, and this Qi extended through her hand onto the blade of Cang, brightening its originally silver-gray edge.
She quickly took three steps, then leaped upward and flew into the air.
She completed this movement with incredible speed, nearly reaching the midair in the blink of an eye, as if she had teleported.
The silver light Rosily represented, facing the Earth Dragon whose golden aura towered like a pillar, seemed like a firefly against the bright moon.
But Rosily, relying solely on her current cultivation and strength, charged fearlessly at the Brass Dragon, an Earth Dragon species!
As an Earth Dragon species, the Brass Dragon possessed extremely high intelligence among Magical Beasts, its thinking rivaling even that of a Human youth.
Facing such a small fry whose aura was far weaker than its own, yet daring to provoke it so directly, the dragon ignited with fury.
The moment rage ignited was also the moment the Brass Dragon’s aura erupted.
Like a volcanic eruption, its Magic Power-infused aura churned like fire, radiating from the dragon’s body and surging toward Rosily like a high wall, a ten-meter wave, turning everything in its path into Ruins.
Rosily faced the golden wave head-on, canceling out the aura surge one strike at a time, but the Sword Qi condensed on her blade far surpassed the Brass Dragon’s explosive release.
The sword descended in a vertical slash, silver Sword Qi and golden aura colliding before scattering each other apart. And within that gap, Rosily pressed her sword forward, her eyes holding the calm indifference of a young maiden.
The Brass Dragon caught Rosily’s provoking gaze, lifted its left forefoot and set it slightly outward, then made an agile turn, whipping its copper-scaled long tail toward Rosily.
The tail whip was swift, and combined with Rosily still resisting the aura’s impact, she couldn’t evade in time and was struck head-on, flying backward as a silver meteor.
Rosily blocked the tail whip’s strike with Cang held before her.
Under the Dragon Tail’s sweep, trees nearby that weren’t even touched shattered instantly. If an ordinary Fifth-Tier or below had taken that hit, they’d probably already be at death’s door, right?
But Rosily merely flew back several dozen meters, landing on a tree and leaving a slightly deep imprint while tilting the tree by a small measure. Other than that, she was completely fine.
Rosily landed on the ground and gazed at the Brass Dragon straightening its body in the distance.
“Rosily!”
Elqi’s heart nearly leaped out of her chest when she saw Rosily sent flying by the Dragon Tail. She quickly flew over and handed Simona directly to her side.
“Simona, hurry and heal Rosily.”
“Okay!”
Though Simona was being used as a medical kit, this wasn’t the time for petty thoughts. She immediately prepared Healing Magic, intending to pour her accumulated life energy into Rosily’s body, but Rosily directly stopped her.
“No need, I’m fine.”
Rosily smiled easily, her gaze sweeping over the four squad members who had arrived.
“Just be careful, all of you.”
The others fell silent for a moment, all thinking the same thing: the one who was clearly the least careful was Rosily herself.
She should have waited for her teammates to regroup before facing this Earth Dragon together, rather than charging in alone.
Rosily turned her head back toward the Earth Dragon, lightly pursing her lips.
“Remember how we dealt with that bald guy during training? Let’s beat this one the same way. I think we can do it.”
Upon hearing those words, Scarlett took a deep look at Rosily.
“Beat it…”
The mission only required making the Earth Dragon bleed enough. As long as they collected sufficient blood, that was all they needed. In other words, they just had to make the dragon bleed more and then pull its aggro.
Once the aggro wore off, they could sneak back to the battlefield and collect the dropped blood. That was undoubtedly the best and safest plan. But Rosily wanted to defeat the Earth Dragon.
Admittedly, this was an aggressive, high-risk choice with no rewards, yet Rosily was this squad’s Captain. Even if Scarlett proposed her plan to the other teammates, as long as Rosily stood there, it could never pass.
After all, Elqi and Simona followed Rosily’s words one hundred percent, and they would carry them out with full effort without a shred of doubt.
Scarlett even wondered if the girl was under some charm, but on second thought, perhaps when someone that special stood beside you, you couldn’t help but follow them.
Scarlett looked at the four who had already taken their battle stances, ready to face the enemy, sighed helplessly, and said to Rosily:
“Hey, that won’t be easy.”
“Is that so? If it were too simple, I wouldn’t bother doing it.”
Rosily smiled back at her, then wiped her nose with the back of her hand, flexed her small hands, and reignited the Sword Qi around her body. She once again charged at the Earth Dragon, leading the way.
This hymn’s language surpassed the knowledge of ordinary people.
Even Simona wasn’t entirely sure of its exact meaning, nor which era or civilization it came from, but as one of the Goddess Church’s sacred spells, it was certainly beneficial, and its effect was an all-around enhancement for her allies.
After Simona granted her blessing, she began softly chanting the courage hymn.
The ordinary female swordswoman Bella hefted her Greatsword and followed Rosily on the flank. With the blessing and courage hymn empowering her, her speed was only slightly slower than Rosily, who had already run beyond Simona’s spell range!
Scarlett vanished into the forest, staying vigilant against unexpected situations, covering the backline of her squad, and watching that Earth Dragon closely, ready to unleash her instant kill strike from the shadows at any moment.
Elqi rode the wind into the air, hovering at mid-height as she released her Magic. She had now reached Fourth Rank Mana and could barely begin learning some high-power Fifth-Tier spells.
The black mage robes the girl wore fluttered, revealing the starry night-like blue-black lining beneath, and around her, translucent green “apples” condensed into shape.
After forming, they transformed into nearly invisible pale-green Wind Blades that slashed toward the Earth Dragon still standing proudly in place.
Whoosh!
The sound of cutting air rang through the forest as a barrage of Wind Blades covered the advance of Rosily and Bella, the two charging at the Earth Dragon from left and right.
Rosily locked her gaze onto the dragon’s eyes.
The Brass Dragon’s pair of eyes also remained locked on Rosily.
From the moment they met, retreat was never an option. There was only victory and defeat, life and death, and who would satisfy whose appetite.
Facing the five-member squad’s assault, the dragon didn’t move at all. Instead, it raised its head high and let out a dragon roar toward the sky.
The earth-shaking dragon roar slammed into the first wave of Wind Blades with overwhelming force.
Then the Brass Dragon lifted its forefoot and stomped hard on the ground, directly shattering those sharp Wind Blades that could cut through rock.
Rosily and Bella, both charging forward, halted abruptly from the ground’s tremor, leaping in place to dodge the sharp stone spikes that thrust up from the fallen leaves beneath.
