Chapter 31: Justice

Teacher Chen’s skill in the Nurse’s Office was as excellent as ever, quickly bandaging Li Zuhao’s forehead wound.

“小蝇虫, you’re awake?”

Sakiharu Wen stood beside the sickbed, her voice filled with concern.

“Sakiharu-senpai?”

Li Zuhao feigned innocence, pretending to know nothing.

Teacher Chen suddenly interrupted, quickly leaving, leaving the young boy and girl alone in the Nurse’s Office.

As soon as she stepped out, she found a large group of Kendo Club girls holding wooden swords in the hallway outside the Nurse’s Office, making quite a commotion.

Li Zuhao forced a bitter smile.

“I’m not joking with you.”

“I’m not joking. I really don’t know them.”

Li Zuhao replied firmly.

“Then do you know why you were beaten?”

Sakiharu Wen’s tone dropped; it was a question she already knew the answer to.

“They questioned me about why I exposed Lei President’s scandal. They threatened me to say that the Diary of the Minotaur was fake, demanded a public apology, and made me kneel to Lei President and lick his shoes as a way to admit guilt.”

Li Zuhao sighed, helplessly explaining.

Sakiharu Wen fell completely silent, her face darkening.

She was one of the few who knew about this incident.

Because she knew about the Diary of the Minotaur but hadn’t expected Li Zuhao to have obtained it for exposing Lei President’s scandal.

“Lei President, wielding power with an iron fist, blinded by authority. You dared expose his secret; of course, you’d be retaliated against. Why were you so stupid? You’re really foolish.”

Sakiharu Wen pressed on.

“Maybe. But when I found that notebook, I felt I couldn’t just stand by.”

Li Zuhao answered.

His words struck directly at Sakiharu Wen’s sense of justice, making her feel a deep resonance.

Her eyes softened, even showing a hint of admiration.

“What do you plan to do next?”

Sakiharu Wen asked.

“What to do? I haven’t thought about it. Just keep living. I haven’t finished sweeping the fallen leaves on the ground. The broom and dustpan need to be put back in the Club Room.”

Li Zuhao muttered to himself as he rolled off the sickbed, wanting to return to the Sports Club area.

“The Student Council even sent people to deal with you, and you still want to work for them?”

Sakiharu Wen questioned.

“I’m not working for them; I’m just redeeming my past self.”

Li Zuhao spoke calmly and firmly, his back turned to Sakiharu Wen.

Sakiharu Wen was struck like a thunderclap, stunned, frozen in place with no reaction for a long while.

Li Zuhao left the Nurse’s Office and was startled to see the large group of Kendo Club girls outside but maintained his composure on the surface.

“Sorry to trouble everyone.”

Li Zuhao bowed politely to them, then left alone.

After he had gone far enough, the Kendo Club girls rushed into the Nurse’s Office together, surrounding Sakiharu Wen, asking questions from every angle.

Sakiharu Wen told them that Li Zuhao had been ambushed and hit in the head because he offended Lei President.

After hearing this, the Kendo Club girls all froze, silent, tightly gripping their wooden swords, their faces grim.

Justice spread like a virus.

Li Zuhao was about to close the Club Room door.

“Are you Li Zuhao?”

Suddenly, four senior male students appeared beside Li Zuhao and questioned him.

They wore neat school uniforms, tidy hairstyles, and had fairly handsome faces, though a bit pale and otherwise unremarkable.

“Yes, I am. May I ask what you need, seniors?”

Li Zuhao responded calmly, without suspicion.

But inside, he was secretly pleased, already thinking about the next step of his plan.

Now the opportunity had arrived.

If Li Zuhao wasn’t mistaken, these four seniors were the Student Council’s hidden operatives, Lei President’s true confidants.

“We have some further secrets we want you to expose.”

Their tone was kind and full of righteousness.
