Bai Lingluo opened the car door and stepped out.
Before her was a dimly lit underground parking lot—this was their entry point.
“Another underground parking lot…” Bai Lingluo glanced around.
“What bad luck. I don’t want to stay here even one more second,” Miao Ke’er said with disdain.
Chen Lisi jumped out of the car. “Why do we have to wear masks just to enter? It’s suffocating.”
They put on the Saint Li Group’s special combat uniforms. These uniforms could change their appearance to suit each wearer.
For example, the three magic girls from Jiangnan Province had their combat uniforms take on the appearance of cheongsams.
“I can definitely feel a special force suppressing our magic. Chen Lisi, try casting a spell,” Bai Lingluo said to Chen Lisi.
Chen Lisi waved her hand, firing a magic beam at the wall.
The result was only a scorched patch; the wall didn’t get pierced as expected.
“My magic can’t gather properly. Such a strange feeling… there’s this deep sense of powerlessness,” Chen Lisi rubbed her arms, then waved her hands a few times, trying to regain the feeling.
“Our magic barrier is also weakened,” Lin Shuqing added.
Bai Lingluo led them out of the underground parking lot and emerged from one side of the abandoned city.
“Let’s check the high ground first,” Bai Lingluo said as she shifted into her magical form.
They flew up to an office building—the tallest building in the city’s West District, standing over a hundred meters high. The advertisements on top had long since faded, their original content indistinguishable.
“Flying already feels much harder. We’ll need to cut down on flying from now on,” Bai Lingluo said.
From here, the main cityscape was clearly visible.
The sun was obscured by yellow dust, casting a dark yellow glow over the city.
“Let’s discuss our battle plan and division of tasks first.”
“Lin Shuqing, Ziyuan, Tian Lan, introduce your abilities,” Bai Lingluo said to the three magic girls from other provinces.
Lin Shuqing was the first to speak: “I’m a close-combat type. My ability is Super Perception, similar to Soul Out-of-Body.”
“My consciousness can project within a certain range, sensing every subtle movement and accurately pinpointing hidden enemies. Impressive, right?”
“I’m also close-combat. I don’t have any special abilities… but if I must say, my weapon is unique—it’s a scythe,” Ziyuan whispered.
“I’m a special type, with the ability to construct. I can build Crystallized Magic for defense and offense, though it’s not very useful…” Tian Lan said with a wry smile, scratching her head.
“Isn’t that the same ability as Senior Porcelain Moon? You’ve definitely never seen her in combat—her Crystallized Magic is devastating. Tian Lan, don’t belittle yourself,” Chen Lisi comforted her.
“I’m different…” Tian Lan murmured, but no one heard.
“Good. The enemy doesn’t know your abilities, but we know theirs.
Let’s analyze their combat power and arrange accordingly,” Bai Lingluo said, activating her portable projector to display the opposing team’s lineup.
“As expected of a senior, well prepared,” Tian Lan said.
“Hey, Tian Lan, did you know Bai Lingluo before?” Lin Shuqing asked.
Tian Lan answered, “From the newspapers. Senior Bai Lingluo has been in the news—she’s amazing. I heard she single-handedly defeated a duchy-level aberration just a few days ago.”
“Tian Lan, that wasn’t just my doing. We lost many people before we solved it. Let’s not talk about that incident anymore,” Bai Lingluo said sternly.
“Alright…”
“The enemy team members are Kong Ling, Lin Xing, Ying Xian, Ye Liu, Li Jing, and Xiao Si.”
Bai Lingluo introduced their abilities one by one.
“Ying Xian is close-combat. She moves fast and has extraordinary perception. We must be very cautious of her sneak attacks during this operation.”
“But the one we need to watch out for the most is Lin Xing. Her overall strength might be weaker, but her teleportation ability will give the enemy unexpected advantages.”
“Xiao Si is long-range. I’ve seen her training; her spells are very accurate with long range. She’s likely their sniper, so we must avoid exposing ourselves in open areas.”
“Ye Liu can use Optical Invisibility. Lin Shuqing, you’re our scout. Pay extra attention to any unusual changes in the environment—she could appear anywhere at any time.”
“Li Jing’s ability is to summon a powerful summoned creature similar to an aberration. It’s a large, conspicuous target.”
“Don’t get distracted by it and waste firepower. Half of their team members have sneak attack abilities, and that summoned creature is a glaring decoy.”
“Kong Ling is their captain, a close-combat type like me, the backbone of their team, and their leader. Her judgment is excellent—we can’t underestimate her.”
Bai Lingluo finished.
“Any questions?”
Miao Ke’er hesitated for a moment before walking up to Bai Lingluo.
“Miao Ke’er, what’s wrong?”
“Ying Xian… don’t underestimate her…” Miao Ke’er bit her finger nervously.
“I’ve seen her combat form before—not her normal state, but her full release… she’s a monster…”
Miao Ke’er fell silent, recalling Ying Xian’s past battles.
“Miao Ke’er?”
Bai Lingluo approached and saw her trembling eyes filled with fear.
“I don’t dare face her…”
“It’s okay. Just use your ability to build the defensive line, and I’ll protect you,” Bai Lingluo said, gently patting her head.
Miao Ke’er lowered her head and pressed against Bai Lingluo’s chest…

“All right, all right, let’s get to the division of labor.”
“Our battle strategy revolves around Miao Ke’er—she’s a special type who can summon Puppet Soldiers for combat. She’s versatile and fits as the team’s core, able to attack and defend.”
“Lin Shuqing is our scout, positioned on the outer edge to watch for potential threats and sneak attacks. Chen Lisi is long-range, capable of firing powerful magic blasts, so she’s a key damage dealer and will operate alongside Miao Ke’er inside the formation.”
“Tian Lan’s ability is crucial for building strong defenses, so she’ll be positioned inside as well. Ziyuan and I are close-combat types, serving as breakers and mobile forces; we’ll operate on the outskirts.”
“To summarize—Miao Ke’er, Chen Lisi, and Tian Lan form the inner circle, providing firepower support, while the outer circle consists of me, Lin Shuqing, and Ziyuan handling reconnaissance, mobility, and offense.”
The squad members nodded in agreement.
“Our battle plan centers on Miao Ke’er as the team core. We must guard against their close-combat and long-range sneak attacks.”
“A head-on clash won’t be advantageous for us, so those on the outskirts will conduct advance reconnaissance to secure safe zones for those inside.”
“The inner circle will provide strong firepower, engaging the enemy as they appear.”
Bai Lingluo divided the team into two parts.
“We will move toward the main city next, aiming to seize advantageous terrain ahead of them. The enemy will enter from the city’s east side—we must be faster.”
“Let’s begin the operation.”
