“Haha, I went to the restroom.”
Camilla lied without blushing or skipping a beat, her gaze darting around, unable to meet Ophelia’s eyes, as her small hands quietly slipped behind her back.
“You needed to climb out the window just to use the restroom?”
Ophelia walked right up to Camilla and twitched her elegant nose, taking a “hurricane sniff” from head to toe, leaving not a single corner unchecked.
Are you a dog or what?
Camilla, feeling ticklish from the ordeal, blushed and shoved Ophelia away. The latter, propping her chin thoughtfully, nodded as if pondering the aftertaste.
Although the action seemed a bit perverse, Ophelia was, in fact, earnestly trying to deduce what Camilla had been up to by scent alone.
She caught a subtle unpleasant odor… Maybe this child really did go to the restroom?
Because of someone’s disturbance, Ophelia had been awake for a while already, but since Camilla hadn’t taken the Bracelet enchanted with a tracking spell, she couldn’t trace her movements.
She wanted to keep pressing, but seeing that Camilla wasn’t hurt, Ophelia decided not to make things difficult for her. Rather than prying into her little sister’s privacy, it was more important to deal with a certain uninvited guest.
Ophelia’s ice-blue eyes returned to Salina, her gaze instantly regaining its usual cold sharpness, with a trace of lingering anger.
“Do you know her? When I woke up, she was trying to approach your bed. After I caught her, she started shouting about revenge and so on, but unfortunately, she was no match.”
Salina, bound by icy chains and repeatedly pummeled by Rimuru, struggled to raise her head. Her long silver hair clung messily to her flushed face, red from humiliation and rage. Crimson eyes glared fiercely at Ophelia, then swept with venomous resentment over Camilla and that annoying slime.
Camilla watched from the side, more or less understanding the situation.
She guessed that this princess was still hung up over getting her butt spanked and being extorted last time, but didn’t dare confront her directly, so tried to take advantage while she slept to get some payback. Unfortunately for her, Camilla had slipped out, only to run into her waking elder sister.
“Plop!”
Rimuru, seemingly tired from all the hitting, hopped off Salina’s head, rolled to Camilla’s feet, and pointed a tiny tentacle at the captive, transmitting the thought, [Impressive, right? I woke up Master Sister.]
Camilla bent down and picked up Rimuru, gently rubbing it as comfort, then walked over to Salina and squatted in front of her, wearing a seemingly innocent yet thoroughly scheming smile.
“Miss Salina, we meet again. It seems last time’s lesson wasn’t thorough enough, huh?”
Camilla’s voice was saccharine sweet, her gaze pointedly sweeping over Salina’s perky backside.
Salina froze, the shameful memory of being pinned and spanked last time rushing back. Rage and fear mingled, making her voice even sharper.
“You—you dare!”
“What wouldn’t I dare?”
Camilla cocked her head.
“Here you are in my hands again, little prisoner.”
She reached out and gently poked Salina’s cheek, reddened by the ice chain’s pressure—cool and slippery to the touch.
“So how will you compensate me this time? Spirit Loss Compensation? Scare Fee? Or… perhaps a Disturbance Fee for interrupting my and my sister’s rest?”
Compensation again! Salina was nearly spitting blood—she felt like she’d fallen into an endless compensation hell.
“I have no money! You already took everything valuable from me last time!”
She shouted in despair.
“Oh? No money…”
Camilla drew out her tone with mock regret, her finger sliding from Salina’s cheek to her neck, where a plain Black Gem Necklace hung.
“Then items work too. This necklace looks good—humble on the outside, but the dark energy within is pure… is it—”
“No! Anything but this!”
Salina’s face changed dramatically. This necklace was a keepsake from her Mother, one of her few truly precious possessions.
She glared fiercely at Camilla, eyes boiling with murderous intent—a clear message that anyone who dared touch it would face her wrath.
“This won’t do, that won’t do either…”
Camilla heaved a theatrical sigh, stood up, clapped the imaginary dust from her hands, and looked to Ophelia.
“Sis, it seems Her Highness the Princess has no sincerity. How about… we hand her over to the Disciplinary Committee, as per academy rules?”
“That’s fine.”
Ophelia nodded in agreement, making a move to pick Salina up.
“Wait… I’ll pay!”
Salina panicked. If she were handed to the Disciplinary Committee, her two break-ins would become a huge scandal, destroying her reputation at the academy. Any thought of future revenge would be meaningless.
“Spare me, I’ll do anything…”
Camilla stroked her chin, pretending to ponder.
“Hmm… in that case, let’s change the method.”
Seeing Camilla’s sly smile, Salina watched her warily.
“What are you planning?”
“Repay me with your body!”
Camilla’s words echoed through the quiet dormitory, carrying an ambiguous and suggestive tone.
The air instantly froze.
Salina’s crimson eyes went wide, her face turning pale in a flash, only to flush deep red moments later.
She struggled violently in the icy chains like a cat with its tail stepped on, her voice rising in pitch.
“You—You you you… What did you say?! You pervert! Devil! Lowly human! Just you try to touch me! My father… mmph!”
Her rant was cut off as Camilla stuffed Rimuru into her mouth.
“Shhh—keep it down, Your Highness.”
Camilla kept her smiling face, but a playful glint sparkled in her eyes.
“It’s the middle of the night. No need to disturb the neighbors.”
Ophelia’s brows also furrowed slightly, a hint of confusion—and perhaps an unnoticeable sliver of wariness?—in her ice-blue eyes. She stepped forward, her tone calm but questioning.
“Camilla, what do you mean by ‘repay with your body’?”
Her first thought was compensation of that kind, but she quickly dismissed it.
In Ophelia’s heart, Camilla was pure, kind, innocent, adorable, well-behaved, understanding, gentle, beautiful, and generous—a truly good child. How could she ever do something so indecent?
Impossible. Absolutely impossible!
So Camilla’s “repay with your body” must be something proper. Considering her gluttonous tendencies… could it be she wanted to taste the blood clan’s flavor (in the literal sense)?
A fleeting look of horror flashed across Ophelia’s face.
Fortunately, Camilla had no intention of acting out a “Madman’s Diary.” Instead, she simply picked up her storage Bracelet from the desk and pulled out a piece of parchment.
“Let’s sign a Contract.”
Camilla grinned.
“During your time at the academy, you need to help me accomplish one thing—without violating your principles or the stance of your race. Of course, it won’t be anything like murder, arson, or betraying your family. In exchange, we’ll write off this whole incident. How about it?”
This was a spur-of-the-moment idea for Camilla. Salina wasn’t weak, and her blood clan identity and abilities might be useful at times.
More importantly, binding this troublesome princess with a seemingly lax Contract would save her the headache of future revenge plots.
Salina was stunned—she hadn’t expected these terms. One favor? Didn’t sound hard, but… who knew what this devilish girl would ask?
“You can refuse.”
Camilla shrugged.
“Then we’ll go with the previous plan.”
“…Fine, I accept!”
Salina had no other choice but to grit her teeth and agree.
At least the Contract had restrictions, and there was a chance to regain the initiative.
“A wise choice.”
Camilla grinned like a fox who’d just stolen a chicken.
