Clyde struggled desperately to summon his magic to resist, but he found that the magical power within him, faced with this absolute pressure, was like a stream encountering a tidal wave—unable to raise even a ripple!
Gnash.
“Ugh—ah—”
Clyde’s legs trembled violently, his knees bending uncontrollably, and the ornate magic staff in his hand clattered to the ground.
In the end, under the incredulous gazes of all the teachers and students, the Sixth-tier Grand Mage Clyde stood pale and drenched in sweat.
He could no longer hold on and, with a heavy “thud,” knelt deeply before Sefina, lowering his head with great difficulty.
The tip of Sefina’s magic staff was only an inch from his forehead, the condensed magical energy seeming poised to erupt at any moment, ready to engulf him completely.
Silence once again enveloped the arena.
Sefina’s lazy voice carried clearly to everyone’s ears, including Clyde’s:
“Give up?”
Clyde shuddered all over; all his pride and anger were crushed under that absolute power.
His lips trembled as he forced out two humiliating words through clenched teeth:
“I give up…”
At this moment, everyone in the audience, except Rofilia, was stunned beyond belief.
Kofi and Emma’s battle had lasted more than twenty rounds.
They originally thought the teachers’ duel would be the highlight, yet it ended in only two rounds…
It was simply unbelievable!
Even the referee was shocked, snapping back to his senses and loudly announcing:
“The winner, Teacher Sefina!”
Only then did Sefina withdraw her magic staff, not even bothering to glance at the collapsed Clyde kneeling on the ground.
She turned and let out a long yawn.
“Done… finished, time to go catch up on some sleep……”
Sefina activated [Advanced Levitation], floating back to the eastern audience stands like a feather, stretching out with a big lazy yawn.
“Teacher! You’re amazing!” Mia was the first to rush forward, her eyes sparkling with admiration, her chatter in full swing.
“That Water Tentacle! It vanished in an instant thanks to you! And that Great Fireball! So cool! You must be a Seventh-tier Grand Mage by now, right?! Definitely! Right, right?”
Kofi followed behind, her cheeks flushed shyly but excitedly, quietly agreeing:
“Congratulations, Teacher Sefina. You’re really… powerful.”
Recalling the overwhelming battle like a natural disaster just now, her reverence for Sefina deepened even more.
Ellaria stood a little farther away, maintaining the dignity of the Empire’s princess, but even her emerald eyes couldn’t hide her shock.
She gave a slight nod, her tone still cool but with a faint tremor:
“Teacher Sefina, you’re impressive.”
This was pure recognition of a true powerhouse.
Sefina rubbed her sleepy eyes, responding indifferently to the students’ praise and congratulations with a casual “Hmm.”
Her mind was now full of thoughts about her comfortable office chair and the warm afternoon sunlight, the drowsiness rolling in like the tide.
“All right, nothing else matters. I’m heading back first.” Sefina yawned and waved her hand.
“A bit sleepy, time for a nap. You all play by yourselves.”
Without waiting for any reply, she yawned again and lazily floated toward the entrance of the corridor, soon disappearing into the shadows.
The protagonist exited the stage, and the students in the duel arena began to leave noisily like the ebbing tide, eagerly discussing the battle that had overturned their understanding, and the unfathomable strength of Teacher Sefina.
***
In the corridor leading outside the arena, Sefina met Clyde approaching with a sullen face.
His splendid Noble’s Robe still had some water stains, and his hair was disheveled, a stark contrast to the proud Count’s Son image he usually carried.
Their eyes briefly met in midair for a second. Clyde’s gaze was full of unwillingness and a trace of fear.
He snorted coldly and immediately turned his head, quickening his pace until he vanished at the far end of the hallway.
Sefina didn’t even bother to raise an eyelid; she didn’t care about this little incident at all. Her only thought now was:
Office! Sofa! Nap!
Meanwhile, inside the arena, most of the students had started leaving, leaving the stands much emptier.
“Kofi, let’s go! Back to the dorm!” Mia called out to Kofi, who was still standing by the sidelines.
But Kofi seemed lost in thought, gazing quietly at the spot where the battle had just ended, softly saying:
“Mia, you go back first. I want to stay a little longer and savor that feeling.”
That wonderful sensation of applying the techniques the teacher had taught in real combat and ultimately winning had intoxicated Kofi somewhat.
Mia blinked, came back, and wrapped an arm around Kofi’s shoulder with a bright smile:
“Got it, got it! Our Second-tier Grand Mage Miss Kofi really stole the show today! That last move was so sneaky! I’m still stunned—how exactly did Teacher Sefina teach you that weird Delayed Magic?”
Kofi smiled shyly:
“It’s… just some very special techniques….”
Mia noticed her flushed cheeks and suddenly smirked mischievously, leaning close to Kofi’s ear and teasing in an ambiguous tone:
“Oh? Very special techniques Teacher Sefina must really like you taking you home for private training, teaching you those secret trump cards…… Spill it! Did you secretly use your charms on Teacher Sefina?”
“Ah! You! What nonsense are you talking about!”
Kofi’s face immediately turned bright red, like a cat with its tail stepped on, both embarrassed and flustered as she pushed Mia hard.
“There’s no such thing! Teacher’s very serious! If you say that again, I’ll—I’ll ignore you!”
“Pfft—hahaha! Just kidding! Look how scared you are!”
Mia laughed heartily at Kofi’s reaction, and the two quickly fell back into their usual playful banter.
In the midst of their frolicking, Mia suddenly kicked something small with her foot, producing a faint “click.”
“Hm? What’s this?” Mia stopped and bent down curiously, picking up a tiny, exquisitely crafted pink object about the size of a thumb.
It looked like a miniature Remote Control, with only a simple toggle switch and the words “OFF,” “,” “,” “III,” and “MAX” engraved next to it.
“Whose Remote Control is this? So small, what does it control?”
Mia turned it over and over in her hand, finding it quite cute.
Driven by strong curiosity, she instinctively flicked the switch from “OFF” to “MAX.”
However, nothing happened.
The arena remained empty and quiet; nothing abnormal surrounded her and Kofi.
“Huh? Broken?” Mia shook the little Remote Control doubtfully, toggling the switch a few more times with no response.
“Forget it, probably someone’s dropped toy.”
She pouted and immediately lost interest, about to toss it aside.
“Don’t just throw away trash.” Kofi reminded her.
“Got it, got it.” Mia replied casually and finally slipped the pink little Remote Control into her pocket.
“Let’s go, let’s go. Time to head back.”
Mia pulled Kofi along, giggling as they left the arena.
Little did they know, Mia’s inadvertent act would bring Sefina an embarrassingly troublesome “problem.”
