The night reconnaissance of the underground city was about to begin.
Using a Night Vision Device, Jin Luan gave her phone a crude night photography capability. She glanced at her phone and started filming the surroundings.
Who made her a phone addict? Jin Luan just liked playing with her phone.
Since she was gathering intelligence for Huang Yi, they let her be.
Yin Lin, who was suspicious, noticed her small actions. She thought Jin Luan’s phone had no signal at this point. 3,000 meters underground, no civilian network had been established here.
The Eastern Alliance had temporarily set up a wireless network here for exploration, convenient for remote control of robots and drones. Outsiders couldn’t use it for now.
Yin Lin and Huan Hong were also busy.
Huan Hong went to the only large door and inspected it. The door was very tall, nearly 4 meters, made of stone slabs. It was a double door design, presumably to be pushed or pulled open.
By visual estimation, a single stone door likely weighed over 4 tons. Even Huan Hong, the strongest of the Jin Yin Hong San Jiemei, couldn’t push it open alone. Even with Jin Luan’s help, they couldn’t push it open.
Why not count Yin Lin? Well… that girl was really just like a little sister in this aspect, completely useless.
The three sisters probably couldn’t get through this door normally.
Meanwhile, Yin Lin was using her special talent to focus on perceiving the situation of the underground city.
Only 1.5 Mana sources.
Half a Mana source was spread throughout the underground city, indicating that the city’s length was at least no less than that number, and the architectural scale was astonishingly huge.
Thus, a question arose.
How was such a large building constructed 3,000 meters underground?
Couldn’t figure it out.
What was the purpose of this underground city being built here?
Also couldn’t figure it out.
Who built it?
There was a bit of a clue; Huan Hong had investigated it. She found finger marks on the stone door. How much force would it take to leave obvious marks on stone? And the size of the finger marks matched the size of Demonic Creature fingers, and the height of the marks matched the height of a Demonic Creature. Even Huan Hong knew that those fingerprints were left by Demonic Creatures.
The remaining 1 Mana source wasn’t the aura of a Demonic Creature, nor a Magical Girl. For now, they didn’t know what it was. That thing was about 200 meters away from them.
She issued a request to assemble.
Yin Lin and Jin Luan both came over.
“Let’s try pushing this door open.”
She proposed a suggestion so correct that they didn’t know how to comment.
The three of them still tried. They touched the cold stone door and strained with all their might. Naturally, no miracle occurred. With their strength, they couldn’t budge the stone door an inch.
Jin Luan added another suggestion: have everyone push together using their Magic Wands.
Don’t underestimate the power of those Magic Wands. Last time Yin Lin fought with Biscuit Boy, she was pinned down by the Heavy Gravity Pearl. It was by using the Magic Wand that she lifted herself up and escaped the control range. Maybe Jin Luan’s suggestion would actually work?
So, they diverted some focus to control their Magic Wands. Three people, three wands, total six points of force. They counted one, two, three, and pushed together.
Finally… they still couldn’t push it open. It didn’t budge at all.
“Who didn’t push?”
Huan Hong wanted to catch the traitor. No one confessed.
“Huan Hong wants to vote to catch the traitor.”
She finally couldn’t take it anymore and used Energy Burst! This thing was pretty cool. In the darkness, she was like a low-power lamp. That was what Yin Lin’s right eye saw, because that eye didn’t use the Night Vision Device. If she used the left eye with Night Vision, it would be too dazzling. Huan Hong was bathed in light, blindingly bright.
Again they counted one, two, three. Huan Hong, in her Energy Burst state, contributed the most force. This moved the stone door by 1 millimeter. It was no longer completely immobile.
The difference between a Magical Girl and a Demonic Creature was revealed. This was like a Filter Door. Magical Girls couldn’t push it open normally, only a strong Demonic Creature could.
Jin Luan finally couldn’t take it anymore. She drew her knife, charged, and slashed at the stone door. Anyway, the Magic Wand wouldn’t break, so cutting anything was fine. When the blade cut into the stone, sparks flew. In the Night Vision Device’s picture, it was as dazzling as a flashbang. This slash nearly blinded the three of them.
The stone was cut open. It wasn’t as tough as a Demonic Creature’s skin. Since Jin Luan could cut Demonic Creatures, of course she could cut stone. Seeing that this method worked, Jin Luan continued cutting the stone. In one minute, she had cut the stone door to pieces. If an archaeology expert saw this scene, they would probably be heartbroken.
Huan Hong struck the broken door with nine blows from her wand, smoothing the opening, and then looked at Yin Lin.
Even Jin Luan looked at Yin Lin.
“Fine, fine, I’m going.”
Sister Silver knew what they meant. As the member of the Jin Yin Hong San Jiemei with the highest defense, and also possessing a super radar, she was suitable for scouting ahead.
First, she made her wand fly through the opening, then she started to climb through. It was a bit high, not easy to get up.
Huan Hong was about to grab her legs and lift her, but Jin Luan suddenly pushed her aside.
Huan Hong felt a bit confused, but still gave the job to Jin Luan.
Miss Gold lifted Yin Lin’s legs. Her fingers were a bit unruly, slowly sliding up, all the way to the thigh.
Yin Lin raised her little foot and kicked her, planting her high heel on Jin Luan’s face. That made her behave. Luckily, it was just the ball of the foot, not the heel, otherwise she would have been injured.
Yin Lin squeezed through with difficulty, holding her wand and landing safely.
Then it was Huan Hong’s turn. She had a hard time passing through; her chest was a bit stuck.
“Hold my legs and push me through.”
Huan Hong called out.
Jin Luan helped, but not with her hands. She used her Magic Wand to lift Huan Hong’s legs and pushed from behind. On the other side, Yin Lin grabbed Huan Hong’s hands, trying to pull her over.
Miss Yin learned a new piece of knowledge. It turned out that those two water balloons had many forms. The difference between lying flat and lying prone was enormous. This caused Huan Hong to be stuck for a little while. When they forcibly pulled her over, she was obviously in a bit of pain.
Finally, it was Jin Luan’s turn. She also had a hard time getting through, but she could fly freely, so she came over quickly.
After passing through, Yin Lin continued to lead the way. Before them was a very long corridor. On both sides of the corridor appeared some stone doors, also large and heavy. Inside, it was silent, but there wasn’t much dust, suggesting that someone had been active here not long ago. This was not a good sign.
Jin Luan drew her knife, charged, and stabbed it into the stone door, piercing through. Jin Luan pulled the knife out, creating a small observation hole. It was like a peephole for the door. She looked inside. It was a closed room, estimated to be only about 30 square meters, very much like a room for people to live in.
Was this a dormitory? Was the starting area a backyard? Could this underground city be a place where Demonic Creatures lived? Did they understand human architecture? Countless questions surfaced in her mind.
Yin Lin didn’t linger here. She continued moving toward the Mana source. That was what attracted her the most. Huan Hong and Jin Luan also sensed that thing and followed behind.
There was one detail Yin Lin did not tell them. The underground city had an indistinct something covering it. It was somewhat like the membrane that enveloped Yiri City, but actually there were subtle differences. Yin Lin didn’t mention it because she thought Huan Hong and Jin Luan could both feel it. After all, they were inside it now. How could they not feel it?
