“Damn it! Space is torn apart!”
Layana extended both hands forward, vast magical power surging out wildly, trying to construct a stable Spatial Tunnel above the storm.
However, her proud magic seemed stuck in quicksand here. Every step forward was incredibly difficult. The runes she constructed were shredded and devoured the moment they touched the Gray Storm.
“Save your strength, old friend.”
Aurelia maintained the Holy Light Shield enveloping the two of them with one hand while propping herself up with the Scepter with the other, her expression extremely grim.
“That axe is no simple thing. Even if we threw all our magic power into it, we wouldn’t even hear a sound.”
She looked at the figure bathed in the Blood Moon and Abyssal Energy on the other side of the storm, and couldn’t help clicking her tongue.
“This daughter of yours… truly surpasses her mother. Causing such a spectacle, anyone who didn’t know would think some Abyssal Lord is throwing a birthday party.”
On the Bone Altar.
Laxana spread her arms wide, tilted her head back, closed her eyes, and greedily breathed in every trace of sweet Malice in the air.
The Chaos Energy pouring down from the Shattered Sky and the Abyssal Aura accumulated over a thousand years in the Nightmare Demon Graveyard surged into her body like a hundred rivers returning to the sea.
“Hehe… Hahahaha!”
An inhuman wild laugh burst forth—maniacal, twisted, yet filled with supreme ecstasy.
Under the torrent of immense energy, her body began to undergo violent Aberration.
Countless masses of flesh writhed, tearing her body apart and reassembling it. Bones let out brittle cracks under the unbearable strain, and beneath her skin, countless living things seemed to slither.
RIIIP—
The mage robe on her body was completely shredded by the raging energy, turning into cloth scraps that reassembled into a Black Leather Bodysuit perfectly fitted to her curves.
Dark purple magical circuit patterns flowed across the surface of the bodysuit, and on her smooth back, an Ancient Rune formed by seven connected stars radiated an eerie seven-colored glow.
Her brilliant golden hair also lost all its color in an instant, turning into a waterfall of blinding white.
When Laxana opened her eyes again, her originally beautiful violet irises had been replaced by swirling seven-colored radiance, with not a trace of human emotion to be found.
Frost, flame, thunder, storm, earth, light, darkness…
Seven completely different elemental powers cycled through birth and death in her pupils.
The Seven Luminaries Witch.
At this moment, born.
“This is… absolutely wonderful!”
Laxana—no, she should now be called the Seven Luminaries Witch.
She murmured softly, raised one hand, and studied the Seven-Colored Mana swirling around her fingertips with great interest.
Then, her gaze pierced through the Chaos Storm, landing on Layana and Aurelia, who were anxious beyond measure.
The corners of her mouth curled up into a cruel arc.
She casually waved her hand toward the direction of the storm.
“Fire.”
One word. Beyond the storm, the sky above Layana’s and Aurelia’s heads was instantly dyed an apocalyptic crimson.
Three enormous meteors burning with raging flames dragged long tails of fire, tore through the atmosphere, and came crashing down at the two of them!
“Holy crap!”
Even Aurelia, the dignified Cardinal, couldn’t help cursing.
“HOLY WORD: DOME OF HEAVEN!”
She slammed the Scepter heavily into the ground, and a golden dome large enough to cover nearly half the Square rose up, barely withstanding the meteor impacts!
BOOM!!!
The violent collision shook the entire Nightmare Demon Graveyard. The golden dome was covered in cracks, on the verge of collapse.
“Layana! Your daughter is even more insane when she loses it than you were back then!”
Aurelia shouted through gritted teeth.
However, this was only the beginning.
Laxana on the altar didn’t even change her posture, only moving her fingertips slightly.
“Ice.”
“Thunder.”
“Wind.”
CRACK!
The ground was instantly frozen by ghastly white cold. Countless ice spears burst out from the earth, shooting wildly.
In the sky, dark clouds gathered, and hundreds of purple thunder serpents danced down wildly, weaving into a Death Lightning Net.
Space-rending gales turned into countless invisible blades, sweeping in from all directions!
For a moment, rain of fire, ice spears, thunder nets, wind blades… various High-tier Magic that would normally require complex incantations and Magic Arrays were now casually unleashed by Laxana as easily as breathing, pouring relentlessly toward the two Deans!
Aurelia was frantic, the Scepter in her hand blurring into afterimages.
“HOLY SHIELD! HOLY SHIELD! ONE MORE!”
Layer after layer of Holy Light Shield formed and shattered. The golden Holy Energy drained at a terrifying speed.
“Layana! How much magic power do you have left?!”
Layana didn’t answer. She used Space Magic to continuously deflect and dodge those attacks capable of annihilating an entire army in an instant, while staring intently at the familiar yet unfamiliar figure beyond the storm.
There was no fear in her eyes, no despair. Instead…
A trace of extremely complex, almost morbid pride flickered through.
“Seven elements… perfect Fusion, Instant Casting…”
“Such control over magic power… is simply… genius.”
Layana murmured softly.
Her tone didn’t sound like she was evaluating an out-of-control monster, but rather like a mentor appreciating her proudest work.
“Hey! This isn’t the time to praise her!”
Aurelia was so angry she nearly spat out another mouthful of blood.
“Think of something fast! If she keeps blasting like this, the two of us are done for today!”
“Shut up!”
Layana barked, her gaze turning sharp again.
Her hands wove rapidly in front of her, intricate incantations spilling from her lips.
“MULTI-DIMENSIONAL ANCHOR!”
“SPACE-FOLDING SHIELD!”
“INVERSE RUNE BULWARK!”
A series of high-tier Defense Magic that ordinary Mages had never even heard of were executed with fluid ease by Layana.
Layer upon layer of Space Barrier stacked and constructed in front of her and Aurelia, forming an unbreakable Absolute Defense.
While building her defenses, she tried to shake her daughter with words.
“Laxana! Look at what you’ve become! Is this what you wanted? To become a monster without even a self?!”
“This power doesn’t belong to you! You’re being devoured by it!”
Seeing this, Aurelia immediately understood Layana’s intention.
She stopped complaining and immediately raised her Scepter, chanting sacred prayers.
“HOLY HEALING!”
“DIVINE GRACE BLESSING!”
“PRAYER OF FORTITUDE!”
Gentle beams of Holy Light fell on Layana, quickly healing her injuries while using Holy Power to strengthen the magical barriers she had just constructed.
While providing support to Layana, she also focused her attention on the Black Notebook beside Laxana that emanated an ominous aura.
Clearly, that book was the root of the problem!
While the two Deans were fiercely confronting Laxana…
On the other side of the altar.
Wendy, who should have been sleeping quietly, was showing strange phenomena around his body…
