Su Luo was just about to head home for lunch when she unexpectedly discovered some uninvited guests in her house—one of them was Number Ten and his group.
Number Ten felt that this Dungeon was just messing with him.
At first, it was clearly a normal Werewolf Game, but then the system suddenly told them that the Werewolf Game was fake, and they hadn’t even arrived at the Dungeon location yet!
They rushed to the Dungeon’s site, only to immediately offend the only boss-level player in this Dungeon.
He originally thought that offending someone was no big deal, since they had the numbers on their side.
But these villagers were just impossible to work with—none of them cooperated at all.
An entire day passed, and they still hadn’t gotten any information.
In the end, the noisy group that started out together ended up splitting up and going their separate ways.
But even that didn’t help.
The villagers still refused to reveal any Dungeon information, and up till now, he still couldn’t figure out what they were supposed to be doing in this Dungeon.
Originally, he thought there would be werewolves and villagers in the Village, and it was normal for the werewolves to have a bad attitude.
But they had come to save the villagers!
Shouldn’t the villagers be bowing and thanking them profusely?
Instead, the whole Village looked at them as if they were enemies.
Number Ten even suspected that the entire Village was made up of werewolves.
What he didn’t know was, in a sense, he had guessed the truth.
It was already the second day in this Village, and the only information he’d managed to get was Number One’s address.
Number One had actually settled down in this Village!
When he heard this, he was shocked—were they even playing the same game?
With no other options and at his wits’ end, he decided to try his luck at Number One’s place to see if she could give him any information.
What he didn’t expect was that the people who had split up earlier all showed up together as well—clearly, they had also run out of options.
If Su Luo knew about this, she would probably call them a bunch of birds of a feather.
The group put aside their grudges and exchanged information.
From Number Five, Number Seven learned that Number One was actually living in the Village Chief’s House.
After thinking it over, Number Seven figured the Village Chief was supposed to host them, but got pushed aside by Number One.
He shared this guess with the others, and everyone agreed.
The group immediately became indignant, feeling like it was all Number One’s fault.
If she hadn’t kept the Village Chief’s information to herself and taken the house meant for them, they wouldn’t be in such a miserable state, wasting so much time.
The group was itching for a confrontation, waiting for Su Luo to return so they could demand an explanation.
That was how this scene came to be.
Number Seven saw Su Luo return, was stunned for a moment, then arrogantly said, “Why didn’t you tell us the information the Village Chief gave you?”
Su Luo was a bit surprised they had figured this out, but what did it have to do with her?
Su Luo looked at him coldly and replied, “I got that information with my own skills. Why should I tell you?”
Number Seven was immediately at a loss for words.
She wasn’t wrong—Su Luo had no obligation to tell him.
After thinking for a moment, Number Seven questioned her again, “Then why didn’t you give us the room the Village Chief arranged for us?”
Su Luo glanced at him in confusion, “Did I stop you from staying there?”
Number Seven was stumped again, “You… you… but…”
Number Seven really couldn’t come up with anything to say.
It was indeed their own fault for arriving late and missing out on crucial information.
It was also because of themselves that they never found the Village Chief’s House, where they could have stayed all along.
But… but Number Seven was still furious!
Anyway, they had the numbers.
Number Seven glanced at the large group behind him, and his confidence surged again, “We’re taking this house. If you insist on coming in, don’t blame us for throwing you out!”
Some people behind him wanted to stop him after hearing this, but then remembered it was because Number One hid key information and didn’t tell them they could stay here, which led to their current sorry state.
These people were also a bit resentful, so they kept silent.
After all, there were only a few days left in this Dungeon, so doing this wasn’t too over the line, right?
Su Luo was almost amused by their shamelessness.
She was just about to say something when suddenly footsteps sounded behind her.
Su Luo turned to look—it was He Yu and A Zhai.
The two had come back with a good haul, but when they saw those ungrateful people gathered at their door, they immediately sensed trouble and quietly asked Su Luo what had happened.
Su Luo briefly explained what had just happened.
He Yu, with her fiery temper, was about to go up and start a fight.
Number Seven, seeing the two approach, quickly retreated into the group.
When he saw He Yu ready to fight, he tensed up, preparing to use a Talent Skill.
Su Luo quickly grabbed He Yu and said to her, “Let’s go.”
Then she turned and left.
A Zhai silently followed Su Luo, and seeing the two leave, He Yu stomped her foot in anger before following as well.
The group behind saw the three of them “slip away,” and immediately relaxed.
Number Nine was still talking tough, “I knew Number One was just a paper tiger. She only found this Village by luck. Let’s hurry inside and look for any clues she left behind, then have a good meal!”
The group, as if they had won a great victory, went into the house together, arms around each other.
By now, Su Luo had already walked far away.
He Yu was fuming and asked, puzzled, “Aren’t you being a bit too cowardly? Even if you can’t beat them, at least take the spray! There must be plenty of clues in that house you found, right? You’re just handing it over to them?”
Su Luo turned and explained seriously, “I have a Carry-on Space. I already took all the clues. I’ve found the solution to this Dungeon and am about to complete it, so whether we stay in that house or not doesn’t matter anymore. If they want it, let them have it.”
He Yu thought there were too many things wrong with that statement and didn’t know where to start asking.
A Zhai was calmer and asked in surprise, “What’s a Carry-on Space?”
Su Luo replied, “After you leave the Dungeon, just go to the player Forum and search for the keyword. You’ll find out.”
He Yu realized something and asked directly, “You’re about to clear this Dungeon?”
Su Luo nodded and instructed, “Go gather all the villagers at the Ancestral Hall.”
The two nodded and went their separate ways.
Su Luo went alone to the Old Woman’s house.
Half an hour later, all the villagers had gathered at the Ancestral Hall.
The scene was a bit noisy.
“Why are we here?”
“Is there news that needs the whole Village present?”
The villagers whispered among themselves.
Su Luo clapped her hands to get everyone’s attention.
When the noise died down, she began, “I’ve gathered everyone here to clarify the truth that’s been hidden for a hundred years.”
The villagers’ murmurs immediately grew louder.
“What truth?”
“What don’t we know?”
“This girl is just making things up!”
The scene was in chaos again.
Su Luo picked up the Suona she had prepared earlier and blew a loud note—the hall instantly fell silent.
When the Suona plays, who dares compete?
Su Luo breathed a sigh of relief.
Who would have thought that the Skill: Suona Playing she learned by accident as a child would come in handy now?
She felt a mix of emotions.
Clearing her throat, Su Luo began to tell the story calmly and unhurriedly.
“Once, there was a little girl. She was a Wolf Child…”
Su Luo’s voice was pleasant—clear and gentle.
She slowly revealed the truth that had been hidden and misunderstood for a hundred years to the villagers.
For a moment, the hall was so quiet you could hear a pin drop.
“In the end, the Wolf Tribe killed almost all the villagers.”
In fact, in the current Village, Su Luo guessed that the number of real humans could be counted on one hand.
When Su Luo finished the whole story, the villagers were still stunned.
Su Luo said nothing, giving them time to process.
After a while, a villager finally spoke up, lacking confidence, “You’re lying! You have no proof.”
Su Luo first took out the Witch’s Diary and passed it around for everyone to read.
Then, she brought the Old Woman she had invited earlier to the stage to testify.
The Old Woman sighed and said, “The Divine Emissary is right. That Bead really did fill me with power. We’ve misunderstood the Divine Maiden all along, and… and we’ve made a terrible mistake.”
Her expression grew more complicated, her aged voice full of sorrow.
“Humans, because of a senseless prophecy, drove out the Wolf Tribe; the Wolf Tribe, out of deep-seated jealousy, killed the humans. Now, we’ve wiped out the humans, and we’ve become the embodiment of evil ourselves.”
As she spoke, tears streamed down her wrinkled face.
“When I was young, I remember a human girl bandaged my wounds. But now, she has died a tragic death, caught between the misunderstandings of the two tribes. I’m so tired. Let me go and atone…”
As she spoke, the light in her eyes faded, and she collapsed on the stage.
Su Luo didn’t look—she knew the Old Woman was dead.
The voices of doubt gradually faded.
The werewolves present looked complicated, and many shed tears.
Some female werewolves even sobbed aloud.
Su Luo took out the Bead she had prepared long ago and said to them, “It’s time for this century-long farce to end.”
Everyone knew what would happen once the Bead was set down, but no one stopped her.
Su Luo placed the Bead back into the Divine Maiden’s hand.
In an instant, the Bead burst with dazzling light.
The white glow expanded rapidly, finally covering the entire Village.
Under the purification of this white light, all filth disappeared completely.
After a moment, the white light faded.
When Su Luo opened her eyes, only a young boy remained before her, clutching a baby less than a month old, tears streaming down his face.
The boy choked out, “I was once raised by the Wolf Tribe, and later lived in the human world. I once stole the sacred Bead out of gratitude, and in the future, I will raise this child with repentance, hoping he grows up healthy and safe.”
Su Luo nodded, “A Wolf Child who committed a grave mistake, and the last orphan. May you restore the Village to the harmony and happiness it had a hundred years ago.”
“Ding, Dungeon completed.”
