But she couldn’t help but recall what Herrera had said to her.

“Heh…” Luo You’s hand pressed more firmly. “Tell me everything you know, Big Sister.”
“Fi-First, take your hand off me!”
Liyun broke free, hugging her chest and turning her back to Luo You. She muttered, “I’m just talking to myself, okay? If some ill-intentioned brat overhears it, that’s her business!”
It was a classic case of self-deception.
“Actually… not long after we sealed the Black Prison Colossus, Zhizhi, Broken-Winged Butterfly, and I went to rescue the Super-Large Star Ring. That’s when the enemy appeared. When I came to reinforce them, I couldn’t get in. The enemy is a Divinity Particle wielder and seemingly used Akabane’s Innate Magic… I don’t know much about Akabane’s background, but her Innate Magic supposedly has that function.”
As Liyun continued her monologue, she suddenly felt the sky behind her turn blood-red, as if a Blood Demon had appeared to drain her dry. Startled, she spun around.
“Youyou?!”
“Hmm?”
“Ha… no, it’s nothing…” Liyun wiped a bead of sweat from her cheek. She found nothing. The sky was still dark; the “Bratty Kid” was still a thirst-trap.
“Youyou, you absolutely cannot tell anyone else about this.”
“I know, I know. It’s to stop your teammates from turning into liabilities, right? I get it.” Luo You nodded with a smile and asked, “How are you guys going to deal with the Black Prison Colossus? I heard the Black Candle Colossus is already on its way. It might be here in ten or so hours.”
“Well, regarding that… we can only use Tier Zero Magic. The problem is guarding against the enemy coming out to interfere again…”
“Actually, I’m a very fast learner,” Luo You said suddenly.
“Eh? Ha… that’s true, Youyou, you’ve improved at lightning speed since becoming a Magical Girl… but why mention that now?”
“I’m saying,” Luo You patted her chest confidently, “I can learn Tier Zero Magic right here on the spot.”
Liyun immediately sent the brat away. Using Tier Zero Magic was a suicidal act; there was no way she would agree.
However, in the shadows, Luo You didn’t leave. She lurked in the forest, poking her head out. “I’m not leaving even if you tell me to!”
Her original intent was to see if these “Star-Slaves” were in danger and to gauge the strength of the Black Candle Colossus. More importantly, she wanted to see if those bastards would show up again.
A cold glint flashed in Luo You’s eyes.
Is that Akabane girl some kind of treasure? Why is everyone trying to use her results as an excuse to make a move?
The idea of someone trying to use Akabane’s Innate Magic to become a Flawless Light-Reaping Grade Fusion Warrior was something Luo You hadn’t anticipated. It turned an impossible goal into something feasible.

On second thought, it wasn’t necessary. First, Luo You had the confidence that she was already as strong as a Light-Reaping Grade Dimensional Beast. Second, she didn’t want the complications of being a Fusion Warrior.
Strictly speaking, Fusion Warriors were no longer pure humans. Merging with a Dimensional Beast meant discarding part of their human DNA, facing issues like infertility, abnormal appetite, and the risk of going insane if they lost control.
Luo You didn’t want that. But if she had Divinity Particles… that changed things.

Luo You suddenly heard Xingyu’s angry shouting.
“Get the person in charge to talk to me!” Xingyu hung up the phone in a rage.
“What happened?” Luo You jumped out and asked.
“Huh? You—Jinlin, why are you still here? Liyun said you went back.”
“What happened?” Luo You dodged the question.
Before Xingyu could answer, her communicator lit up with a video call. On the screen was a middle-aged Lieutenant General with deep-set features. He said, “Greetings, Comrade Magical Girl.”
“Skip the pleasantries,” Xingyu demanded immediately. “Why did you do it? Don’t you know that iceberg was filling the gap left by the loss of the Super-Large Star Ring?”
“Because that thing might attract the Black Candle Colossus. Surely you know that?” the General countered.
Xingyu choked on her words. She knew the risk, which made her feel slightly in the wrong. But she remained firm. “We just finished a plan to use that iceberg to lure the Black Candle Colossus for a subjugation mission! We were already preparing to evacuate the residents around Jiuming Sea! Now that you’ve done this, we have no way of knowing where the Black Candle Colossus will land! Do you have any idea how many variables this adds to the mission?!”
“…Comrade Magical Girl, are you saying that for the sake of this mission, you want to use our southern economic hub as the main battlefield?”
