Tina covered her face and fled at lightning speed.
If she’d been a moment later, she felt she would have been socially dead right then and there.
To collapse right in front of Lia from being overwhelmed like that—there was no way she wanted something like that to happen!
At this point, she seemed to understand what that pink potion was.
It was a strengthening potion that amplified all kinds of sensations a hundredfold. But why was it just sitting there on the table?
Damn Everett, secretly setting her up behind her back.
But compared to this, Tina was more concerned about one thing:
From now on, she couldn’t casually connect to the puppet’s perspective anymore. If at that time Lia happened to be fiddling with it, or accidentally touched something she shouldn’t,
she didn’t dare imagine how embarrassing she would be.
“Ah, it seems like the feeling’s mostly gone now.”
After venting for a while, Tina finally got rid of the weird sensations.
Right now, she was frighteningly strong.
“I’m back.”
Lia was holding the puppet at that moment, happiness radiating from her face.
“Can I carry it around with me every day from now on?”
“Of course you can. The gift was meant for you, so it could be by your side in my place.”
Tina was eager for this.
She desperately wanted to know what method Lia was talking about, and whether it was truly without danger.
Asking directly wouldn’t get her anything, so she had to resort to dirtier methods.
Always spying on others secretly—she felt like she was becoming weird herself.

The next day, just as Lia said, she carried the puppet around and began her new routine.
Tina lay in bed, experiencing the king’s day entirely through the puppet’s first-person perspective.
6:00–6:30: grooming, breakfast, on the way to the palace.
6:30–8:00: religious activities, attending morning prayers.
8:00–11:30: handling piles of documents—at least two hundred by her count.
11:30–13:00: enjoying a lavish lunch and a short rest.
13:00–18:00: continued handling documents, meeting advisors and ambassadors from various countries, all during afternoon tea time.
By the way, during these times, Tina counted: Lia tapped the puppet’s head 119 times, called its name 88 times, and spaced out staring at it 11 times.
Several times Tina thought she’d been discovered, but fortunately Lia was just taking short breaks before continuing work.
And finally came the part Tina cared about most.
18:00–20:00: researching ancient tomes, searching for a way to break the curse.
During this time, Lia was alone in the library, continuously flipping through that nameless book.
But due to the viewpoint, the puppet could only see half of the pages—the other half was blocked by Lia’s hand.
Tina recalled key words: mountain peak, sealing, kingdom, curse, and so on.
Putting it all together with her understanding, the book roughly said that somewhere on a mountain peak in the kingdom, there was an ancient sealing,
and the entity sealed inside seemed able to absorb all kinds of curses.
Lia was researching how this seal was created and how to unseal it, but after searching for a long time, she found nothing.
It had to be said that the wisdom of the ancients was beyond the reach of the present. With the kingdom’s current magical level, they probably couldn’t even understand the seal’s structure,
let alone how to unseal it.
But Tina had a way—because at this moment, the system was supplementing the historical details recorded in the book:
【When the kingdom was founded, an unknown creature lived here, able to absorb all negative states from surrounding life forms—such as negative emotions, wounds, even curses.】
【The first king encountered many disasters in the early decades of his reign, but thanks to this creature, all were resolved smoothly, allowing the Keliville Kingdom to continue developing.】
【Later, the king accidentally met the creature and was saved by it. He named it the Protector Godbeast and it became the object of people’s faith, growing stronger over time.】
【However, after the first king died, the second king, driven only by his own desires, used the Godbeast to absorb many impurities it shouldn’t have, far beyond what it could bear. Eventually, it went berserk in the city, destroying over half the kingdom.】
【Finally, a witch sealed the Godbeast on the mountain peak and set up a barrier around it, preventing ordinary people from approaching. She wrote a book about this incident—the very book in Lia’s hands—to warn future generations.】
At this point, the true nature of the event was very clear.
What surprised Tina was that the tome she had thought to be a fake was actually authentic and effective.
Moreover, there were other witches in this world, and they didn’t seem entirely evil.
Of course, the most critical point—
This Godbeast had become mentally unstable from absorbing too many negative states. If released again, it would likely repeat the same disaster, destroying half the country like it did under the second king.
Lia didn’t seem to have realized this problem, probably because the tome was too old and missing key information, so she only saw the good side of the Godbeast and didn’t know what consequences unsealing it casually could bring.
So, what should Tina do?
It was obviously impossible to directly tell Lia she knew all these vague legends.
Pestering Lia every day to stay by her side was impossible, and forbidding her would only make Lia more obsessive out of guilt.
Should she just kill the Godbeast herself?
The witch before had only sealed it; whether it could be killed was unknown.
In summary, Tina had no solution.
For Lia, the journey was extremely dangerous. Once she set foot there and encountered the rampaging Godbeast, survival was nearly impossible.
But she didn’t know this truth, and the plan had to be carried out. Tina’s only option was to follow Lia and secretly help her behind the scenes—solve the problems and save her life at critical moments.
Then, perhaps their story would reach its final chapter………………
***
Nightfall.
After a busy day, the queen returned to her cozy bed.
The girl was already sitting by the bedside, ready with the story she was going to tell tonight.
This was the happiest moment of the queen’s day.
With Tina’s gentle whispers, Lia slowly drifted off to sleep, weary but content.
But this time, a dream she had never remembered before flooded her mind.
In the dream.
Lia followed the map drawn in the tome and arrived at a hidden hill in the kingdom.
The hill was steep, the path to the peak rugged, with fierce wild beasts occasionally hiding in the bushes attacking.
She used her magic to repel the enemies and continued deeper into the mountain.
After entering a thick mist, Lia lost her way. Just as she was about to give up, the mist suddenly cleared, as if someone had blown it away.
Finally, she reached the mountain peak, where jagged boulders sealed a dragon-shaped Godbeast.
The seal was broken, and she saw the Godbeast she had longed for—but the outcome was completely different from what she expected.
It wasn’t a blessing to the people, but a calamity-bringing monster.
Later—
Lia awoke with a start, cold sweat on her forehead.
She hurriedly looked at the girl beside her and realized it had all been a dream.
“Thank goodness, none of this is real………..”
