Magic Cannon, charge!  

Forget all that nonsense about Water Breathing, Kamehameha, Rubber Gatling, or Sharingan.

The slash only scratched the surface.  

It did stop the demon’s pursuit, forcing it to face Jinluan.  

She conserved some magic and stamina for dodging, weaving around the demon’s attacks, buying time.  

No need to kill it—just stall.  

Clearly, Yinlin was the main fighter now, not Jinluan.  

After a few exchanges, the demon sensed Yinlin’s magic still charging and glanced her way.  

She’d gotten up, standing and charging again.  

The demon grew anxious, boosting its body with magic again.  

Its punch swung past Jinluan’s face, grazing a bloody mark.  

If that hit her head, she’d be gravely injured.  

Her stamina was low, magic drained—she couldn’t maintain her superhuman speed.  

Half a minute later, she could only defend, barely dodging the demon’s onslaught.  

Even that was grueling.  

Seeing this, Yinlin stepped forward, saying, “Let it hit me. You get out.”  

“No, I can’t… let you get hurt,” Jinluan said, her cheesy words dead serious.  

“It can’t hurt me,” Yinlin said, though she wasn’t sure.  

That last punch hit hard, and her magic shield took a beating—risky.  

“No, I won’t use another magical girl as bait,” Jinluan insisted, struggling to hold on.  

The demon missed another punch but sneakily cast a fireball at close range, hitting Jinluan.  

The blast singed her hair and damaged her magical girl outfit.  

“You’re just in the way now. Know your limits!” Yinlin yelled.  

Her shout hit hard, stunning Jinluan, who froze, visibly hurt.  

Yinlin seized the moment, pretending to attack the demon, drawing its attention as planned.  

To the demon and Jinluan, Yinlin was surrounded by immense magic, clearly prepping something massive.  

She was the real threat.  

The demon focused on her, leaping and delivering a flying kick that knocked her down.  

Then it jumped high, slamming its knee into the ground.  

The impact cratered the earth, accompanied by a weak explosion.  

This demon mixed physical and magical attacks—interesting.  

But its magic attacks were weak, only 20% of its physical power.  

Jinluan watched, heart racing. Having fought Yinlin, she knew her shield was absurdly strong.  

But she was scared Yinlin would die in front of her.  

Yinlin looked so fragile, like a delicate little sister, easily defeated by anyone—even a human.  

That’s how she appeared.  

No strength, no agility.  

Just tanking hits with her magic shield.  

What’s that called? 

Elden Ring’s full-damage build, eating every hit.  

But in Elden Ring, tanks are beefy, losing just a sliver of health per hit.  

Yinlin wasn’t like that—her body was frail, soft, fragrant…  

Jinluan shook her head—why think “fragrant” now?!  

Yinlin seemed so delicate; if her shield broke, her body wouldn’t survive a single hit.  

Jinluan gripped her weapon, watching the battlefield, ready to jump in if Yinlin’s shield cracked.  

Just then, the shield cracked.  

The demon leaped ten meters up, slamming the ground with a massive stomp, cratering it over a meter deep.  

Yinlin took the full hit, her shield fracturing.  

The attack was brutal—far stronger than low-tier demons in both aggression and power.  

Yinlin stopped charging, raised a new shield, and resumed charging.  

Her skill swap was so fast, Jinluan didn’t even have time to attack before the shield was back, pristine.  

Jinluan sighed in relief.  

She wasn’t the one getting hit but was more nervous than Yinlin.  

She shouted, “Don’t fully charge! Too much power—you’ll destroy the city!”  

Yinlin nodded, grudgingly agreeing.  

She couldn’t just wipe out humans too, right?  

Glancing around, the human alliance was evacuating people, clearing onlookers.  

They knew how dangerous this new magical girl was.  

Even if Jinluan went berserk, it’d take her hours to kill everyone within two kilometers.  

Yinlin? 

Five minutes.  

No one could afford to mess with her.  

For now, they could only tolerate this dangerous magical girl.  

Yinlin had charged about halfway—probably enough.  

Climbing out of the crater, she was about to attack but got caught in the demon’s combo, no chance to fire.  

This thing’s aggression was insane, outdoing Elden Ring’s rabid dog Radahn.  

Yinlin had an idea, using her wand to fly out of the demon’s range.  

It could only lob weak fireballs like a desperate mutt, which she tanked effortlessly.  

At a high enough altitude, she stopped flying, free-falling, then aimed her wand at the demon, firing a 50% power magic cannon.  

The beam roared out, still carrying terrifying force.  

Jinluan, knowing what was coming, had already bolted.
