“C-Class Rep… what’s wrong?”
Seeing Liu Yinuo’s strange reaction, Ye Xingmian felt uneasy, worried that she might have done something wrong and been disliked by the other girl.
But the reality was nothing like what she imagined.
Liu Yinuo suddenly raised her head fiercely and once again climbed onto the girl’s body. This time, she pinned down the girl’s hands so she couldn’t move.
“Speak! Why did you lie to me!”
Stunned, the girl was a little lost in the face of this sudden change.
“L-Lie to you?”
She thought of the explanation she gave earlier about her identity as a girl, and for a moment believed that her previous words had been exposed. Her heart sank, and she didn’t say anything.
But what the other girl said next quickly dispelled her doubts.
“You didn’t even eat your meals properly, did you? How could you possibly have grown this much!”
Liu Yinuo said fiercely, not forgetting to press down hard on that pair of “sins” that bulged.
“Ah? This…?”
Ye Xingmian was bewildered. She had thought the other girl was talking about how she’d hidden things before, but it turned out she was upset about this? Looking at the hands misbehaving on her chest, she felt uncomfortable, but this time she didn’t dare to push them away.
“I… I don’t know… I didn’t want this either… Besides, they’re not that big anyway, right…?”
She spoke honestly, her eyes somewhat evasive. She didn’t realize that her attempt to defend herself was like a bolt of lightning to Liu Yinuo, and now those few words echoed endlessly in her mind.
I don’t know—I don’t know—
I didn’t want this—I didn’t want this—
They’re not that big anyway—not that big—not that big—right?
Thinking of her own little puddings, Liu Yinuo felt the world’s deep malice.
She had tried so hard to grow a bit more, drinking milk every morning, even trying all sorts of strange little remedies now and then, yet they were still so small. Now, someone suddenly told her with facts that even without eating properly you could still grow bigger than her—how could she not break down?
Like a walking corpse, she crawled off the girl, looking like a soulless big cat as she dazedly left.
Left behind, Ye Xingmian was filled with guilt.
What should I do? I seem to have accidentally made her angry. Will she start to hate me?
The girl was full of worry. Watching Liu Yinuo’s departing back, she racked her brains trying to figure out how to apologize to her later.
No, no, no, apologizing isn’t good. The Class Rep doesn’t seem to like it when I apologize… Then I’ll just have to think of a way to comfort her.
With no experience being a girl, she had no idea how deeply her unintentional words had hurt the other girl. But she was still trying her best to make up for it.
After a while, Liu Yinuo came back from inside, holding a box of something.
“Um… Class Rep… I’m sorry… I didn’t know this was so important to you… I…”
She had clearly thought out what to say earlier, but now it was like she’d forgotten her lines and couldn’t get the words out.
“Shut up!”
Liu Yinuo glared at her. The girl could only lower her head in silent self-blame. Seeing this, Liu Yinuo snorted and walked over to her side.
She squatted down first and put the box to one side.
“Roll up your pants!”
“C-Class Rep… what are you going to do?”
Clutching the corner of her clothes, Ye Xingmian asked anxiously.
“Hmph~ Don’t ask! And don’t make a sound later, you hear?”
“…Okay.”
Hearing the evil big-breasted girl’s response, Liu Yinuo nodded in satisfaction. She opened the box next to her, and a strong herbal smell immediately spread out.
“Class Rep… is this ointment?”
“I already said, stop talking.”
Class Rep glared at her again, so the girl had no choice but to shut her mouth, nervously pressing her lips together.
Watching the girl obediently roll up her pant legs, revealing a section of fair calf, Liu Yinuo continued.
“A bit higher.”
“Even higher?”
Ye Xingmian hesitated. Any higher and she’d reveal her bruises. The pain wasn’t the main thing—she was more worried it would look ugly and make the Class Rep dislike her.
“Mm.”
Since the Class Rep said so, she obediently rolled her pant legs higher, exposing the blue-purple bruises.
“The other leg, too.”
The girl rolled it up as told. Each time she passed a bruise, it would sting, but she held it in and didn’t make a sound.
Liu Yinuo then used her fingers to take some ointment from the box and applied it to the girl’s healing wounds.
“Hiss—”
It was cold and painful at first. She couldn’t help but suck in a sharp breath, but Liu Yinuo immediately looked up in displeasure.
“I told you not to make a sound, didn’t I?”
“S-Sorry.”
“Hmph, I’ll forgive you this time, but don’t let it happen again.”
“…”
She could feel that the force with which the ointment was applied had lightened quite a bit.
It only hurt at the beginning, but after that, it felt much better—cool and comfortable. Watching the Class Rep squatting by her legs, focused on applying the ointment, Ye Xingmian felt even more guilty.
“Class Rep…”
“Mm? What is it?”
“About… just now… I’m sorry…”
“What did you do wrong?”
“Eh?” Caught off guard by the question, the girl hesitated, but finally said the comforting words she’d thought out earlier.
“Um, because I used to be a boy, I didn’t know how much this mattered to you, Class Rep… I… I heard… that a girl’s size isn’t just decided by genes or what you’re born with, so as long as you eat well and get plenty of nutrition, Class Rep, you’ll definitely be able to grow… hiss!”
A sudden pain shot through her leg. She snapped back to herself to find the Class Rep pinching her calf, hard enough to leave a red mark, and the girl with tea-colored eyes looking up at her with a resentful expression.
“Shut—up—!”
“Y-Yes…! Yes…”
Ye Xingmian nodded quickly, her voice growing quieter. She felt like she’d caused trouble again…
A girl’s thoughts… really are hard to guess.
Time passed in silence, second by second. Outside, the snow still showed no sign of stopping. The scattered flakes looked like falling stars, swirling into different shapes with the wind. Bored, the girl looked out the window. Whenever the Class Rep told her to roll up her sleeves or anywhere else, she did so one by one. The heater blew gentle warm air, bringing a touch of drowsiness. In the warmth, the girl’s mind gradually relaxed, slowly forgetting many troubles. Her rosy eyes curved gently as she quietly watched the Class Rep applying medicine to her.
“Thank you… Class Rep…”
She whispered, her voice soft and sweet, so quiet it floated away like the wind.
“Mm…? Did you just say something?”
By the time Liu Yinuo noticed and looked up, the girl had already closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep.
