“Hey, Young Master, why are you still not doing anything? Weren’t you going to refine Enya into the Ten Thousand Demons Banner? Hurry up and get started~ Enya’s already prepared.”
Enya spoke with a dazed smile as her pale thighs rubbed against each other, crumpling the once-clean white bedsheet beneath her.
The dungeon, which should have been dark and damp, was now filled with a warm, rosy atmosphere—warped into something sickly sweet by Enya’s twisted aura.
In that moment, Kane remembered why, in his past life, men liked yanderes but never wanted to be liked by a yandere.
A yandere’s logic truly couldn’t be understood through normal human empathy.
She was about to be refined into a soul-consuming artifact by the man she loved, and yet here she was, practically throwing herself into it.
So long as it’s someone she loves, a yandere can accept anything without limits, huh?
Wait, no—give her a few “sisters” to share her man with, and suddenly it’s not okay anymore.
That’s when the yandere smiles sweetly, lifts the axe, and cheerfully declares: “Let’s cut him up, girls.”
“Young Master, why won’t you just do it?”
Kane’s continued hesitation finally made Enya realize something was off.
She blinked innocently and tilted her head.
“Could it be… the Young Master doesn’t really want to refine Enya into the Ten Thousand Demons Banner? That all your love for Enya was just talk?”
Her eyes dimmed instantly, like twin bottomless abysses radiating a biting cold that seemed to drain the warmth from the air.
Young Master not refining her into the banner = doesn’t love her = a world without his love is meaningless = everything must be destroyed.
A yandere’s thought process was disturbingly straightforward.
Facing this hyper-rational kind of madness, Kane realized he needed to change tactics.
“…Of course I love Enya. More than mountains, deeper than seas, broader than the world itself.”
At his words, the equation in Enya’s mind was instantly broken. She puffed out her chest proudly, ready to receive Kane’s twisted, possessive love.
“But are you really okay with this?” Kane added.
Enya gave him a slightly clueless look and tilted her head again.
“Young Master, you mean…”
“Do you truly want to be refined into the Ten Thousand Demons Banner?” Kane asked. “Once you’re inside, you’ll lose all free will. You’ll be under my control forever—no thoughts of your own, just a puppet dangling from my strings. Are you really okay with that?”
“Controlled by the Young Master? That sounds amazing!”
“…?”
Enya grew visibly more excited.
She clasped her hands around her heart-shaped eyes, rubbing her thighs together obsessively.
“To have my entire body at your command… what a thrilling thought! Please, Young Master, control me—I can’t wait any longer.”
“……”
Kane’s face twitched uncontrollably. Still not giving up, he tried another angle.
“What if I made you do terrible things? Like forced you to carry out exhausting tasks, or capture innocent women for me, or act as lookout while I… push from behind, tuck the sheets in, and—”
“Isn’t that what you already have me doing?”
“……”
Kane was speechless. Emmmmm… now that she mentioned it… yeah, that’s basically what’s happening already.
Wait a second—could it be that deep down… I’m the yandere here?
Kane’s mouth twitched as an existential crisis took root.
At that moment, Enya suddenly asked:
“Then, will the Young Master refine the other women you bring back into the Ten Thousand Demons Banner?”
“No.”
Kane wasn’t a true yandere.
Even with Enya, he was just bluffing.
There was no way he’d actually refine any other woman into the banner.
“Wonderful! I knew it—Young Master truly loves me. I’m the only one worthy of being refined into the Ten Thousand Demons Banner! I’m so, so happy~”
“I knew I was the only one in your heart~”
Kane: ……
Watching Enya descend deeper into her obsessive delusion, Kane felt completely numb.
Compared to a real yandere, his act was child’s play—he wasn’t even qualified to shine her shoes.
He thought he had everything under control, but she’d flipped the board on him again.
They were already this far in, and yet…
Just as Kane was debating what to do next, Enya suddenly tilted her head with a sweet, sinister smile.
“Young Master, you never really intended to refine me into the Ten Thousand Demons Banner, did you?”
“……”
Of course she’d see through him eventually.
Kane’s excuses had been too transparent up until now.
With a sigh, Kane finally admitted honestly:
“You’re right. I never intended to refine you.”
“I knew it. The Young Master just couldn’t bring himself to do it.” Enya said fondly. “After all, I watched you grow up—I know exactly what kind of person you are.”
“But since you mentioned the Ten Thousand Demons Banner, that means… you must’ve figured out my real goal.”
“When did you realize? You didn’t show even a hint of suspicion before.”
That was what puzzled Enya most.
She’d been watching Kane closely.
She was certain he hadn’t suspected anything before this.
If not for Ilena’s warning, she never would’ve thought he was onto her.
But now Kane was acting like he already knew the script—as if he’d seen the future.
Clairvoyance? Prophecy?
Could such powers really exist…?
“That’s my little secret.”
Kane sat back down across from her.
Having everything laid bare did feel like a weight off his shoulders.
But now that he’d come this far, there was no way he’d back down.
“Hmph, so the Young Master still keeps secrets from me?”
Enya puffed out one cheek like a sulking wife, her lips pouting and her gaze full of pitiful grievance.
Kane chuckled coldly.
“Right back at you. You’ve been hiding things from me too—about the banner, and your true identity.”
“So the Young Master really did know.”
Enya’s heart finally settled.
The burden she’d been carrying seemed to ease as she offered a slightly bitter smile.
“Then, what will you do with me? Turn me over to the kingdom as proof of loyalty?”
“What if I said yes?” Kane narrowed his eyes dangerously, hiding his true thoughts.
“Then… I suppose I’d be a little heartbroken.” Enya chuckled at herself. “But if I can still be useful to you in the end, at least my life had value.”
“……”
Heavy. Far too heavy.
Now that everything was in the open, Kane could truly feel the suffocating weight of Enya’s love.
To change her warped ideas about love would not be easy.
It would take time and careful planning.
Kane deliberately turned cold, his expression becoming hard.
“Then you’re going to be disappointed. I have other plans for you. Stay here for now.”
With that, Kane turned and walked away.
But Enya called out behind him:
“Wait, Young Master, one more question. Just how… did you manage to knock me out back then?”
