Early the next morning, Samimi and Niubao checked out of their room, shouldered their travel backpacks, and arrived at a special domed landmark building in the center of town.
Just as every town had a Church, every town in the south had one of these domed buildings.
It was called the [Adventurers Guild].
The most famous characteristic facility of the Otherworld.
But strictly speaking, this name was not accurate. This domed building was actually called the [Adventurers’ Mutual Aid Association – Local Branch].
Since it was called a branch, there was definitely a headquarters, but no one knew exactly where the adventurers’ headquarters was located.
The mystery surrounding the Adventurers’ Mutual Aid Association’s headquarters was comparable to that of the Continental Magic Academy; it was likely hidden in some mysterious place that could not be entered by ordinary means.
The Adventurers Guild was also the only organization in the world whose influence among the common people could rival that of the Church. Every town would have a Church and a local branch of the Adventurers Guild.
If your location didn’t have one, it wasn’t a town; it could only be considered a remote backcountry.
The Church had the Twenty-Four Kunyan Holy Scripts, and the Adventurers Guild also had forty-two S-Rank Adventurers.
Although this land nominally belonged to the United Kingdom, in the south, the Adventurers Guild called the shots; they were the local powerhouses here.
Noble power and Church power didn’t work well here; adventurers didn’t care about those petty clowns. This place was mainly about “might makes right.”
However, despite all that, the function of the Adventurers Guild was exactly the same as typical Otherworld settings.
It was simply a place to post and accept missions; there wasn’t much more to say on that point.
The Adventurers Guild was a massive information network where one could search for the latest news—first-hand news from outside the Thousand Stars—providing convenient services for adventurers.
Of course, to enjoy these services, one first had to register as an adventurer certified by the Adventurers Guild.
Samimi and Niubao had come to the Adventurers Guild early in the morning precisely to register and officially become adventurers.
When Samimi entered her imagined Adventurers Guild for the first time, she found the layout was somewhat similar to a bank.
“Good morning, ladies. How may I help you?”
As soon as the two arrived at the front desk, the receptionist inside stood up immediately and gave a high-energy greeting.
“Hello, we would like to register as adventurers,” Samimi said.
“Registering, is it? Please provide identification documents. If you have any symbolic items that can prove your identity, you can provide those as well,” the receptionist said.
Samimi took out the employment certification she had prepared long ago, as well as a beautiful Valkyrie Badge, and pushed them forward together.
“Ah!” When the receptionist saw what Samimi handed over, her eyes lit up instantly, filled with disbelief.
“Miss, please wait a moment. Please take a seat. I need to consult with our Council President.” The receptionist took the identification documents and the Valkyrie Badge and went to the manager’s office in the back.
It was an expected reaction, because the Valkyrie Knight Order was a top-tier Knight Order certified by the Church. Although they knew the Valkyrie Knight Order was essentially a ceremonial guard, outsiders were unaware of that.
Samimi pulled Niubao to look around first, mainly stopping in front of the mission board to find a mission she liked.
At the same time, the memories in her mind were churning; her “cheat” as a Transmigrator was finally activating again.
Her pace had almost been disrupted by those Church struggles. Fortunately, she was a cut above in the end, knowing that the essence of the Otherworld was “cheat power,” so she would use her strength to smash all conspiracies.
Adventurers focused on brotherhood and loyalty—at least on the surface.
Where there are people, there are schemes, especially since adventurers usually form teams; once they team up, many problems arise.
But it also relied on the party system; if a person’s problems were too numerous, the Adventurers Guild would put them on a blacklist, and all adventurers would reject, isolate, and expel them.
So, the quality of adventurers had a baseline; at the very least, they wouldn’t openly harm people.
But it didn’t matter; Samimi didn’t plan to team up with others; having Niubao was enough.
“Found it.”
Samimi’s eyes swept over the mission slips one by one and quickly found the special mission she had once read about in the light novel.
“Priestess, the Council President invites you for a chat.”
After a while, the receptionist came out to invite Samimi and Niubao into the Council President’s room for a detailed discussion.
Entering the room, a middle-aged man in a black suit came out to welcome them, inviting the two to sit in front of a luxurious office desk.
The receptionist, Xiao Mei, also brewed a cup of tea for the two of them, giving them sufficient respect.
“Miss Shabam, your resume is truly rich. You are a Battle Priest of the Valkyrie Knight Order? Ha ha, sorry, I am Ma Fei, the person in charge of the Xiaoma Town Adventurers Guild. You are very welcome to join our big family.” The manager spoke a bit incoherently.
“Council President Ma, nice to meet you. This is my Half-Beast servant Niubao; I hope she can also register to become an adventurer,” Samimi said.
“No problem, Miss Shabam. Xiao Mei, go prepare two adventurer certificates.” The manager Ma Fei agreed directly.
The receptionist quickly brought over two adventurer certificates.
“Miss Shabam, with your resume, I can grade you as a [Platinum Adventurer]. But this Beastman Nun can only start as a [Bronze Adventurer], unless she also has an identification token…” Ma Fei explained.
“It doesn’t matter, just register like this,” Samimi smiled.
Niubao actually did have an identification token—she had a Knight badge—but that was just too impressive and couldn’t be shown casually.
“May I ask what this Beastman Nun’s name is?” the manager Ma Fei asked.
“Niu… Niubao,” Samimi paused for a moment and replied.
“Niubao? What a cute name.” The manager Ma Fei smiled as he registered the name.
Niubao glanced at Samimi, and Samimi shrugged her small hand, expressing helplessness.
Because the name Niubao was registered in the Church’s system; if they used that name, it would expose their tracks, so she had to make up a pseudonym for Niubao too.
After paying the registration fee, the two received two adventurer registration certificates, which were equivalent to their IDs.
Samimi’s adventurer certificate had her pseudonym and the date written on it, and what was most striking was a large letter [B] on it.
This was why S-Rank Adventurers had appeared before; Samimi was now a B-Rank Adventurer.
She didn’t know where an Otherworld got its English letters from, but that was the point! Don’t worry about the logic of the Otherworld!
The formal ranking system was: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Master, Grandmaster.
These corresponded to F-Rank, E-Rank, D-Rank, C-Rank, B-Rank, A-Rank, and S-Rank respectively.
So Samimi was a B-Rank Platinum Adventurer standing right in the middle.
As for Niubao, she had to start from scratch and was an E-Rank Bronze Adventurer.
As long as they completed missions, they could gain experience—lots of experience—and the Adventurers Guild would evaluate the adventurers. The end result could be a promotion, but it could also be a demotion.
But none of these things mattered; Samimi didn’t intend to rank up. Getting an entry qualification was enough, and being able to take missions after registering was all that mattered.
If she had craved power and money, she wouldn’t have run away from the Church.
Fortunately, as a Transmigrator, she already knew from many cases that the taste of the peak was nothing but endless emptiness and unbearable pressure.
“Manager, I want to take a mission, is that okay?” Samimi placed a mission flyer she had just taken down on the desk. She wanted to take a mission right after registering; her efficiency was incredibly fast.
“Sorry, Priestess, this mission is only available for A-Rank Adventurers. You can take a B-Rank mission one level down,” Ma Fei said.
“Actually, it is very regrettable. I also know that rules are rules and should not be overstepped. However, I am very interested in this mission. Even if I can’t execute it, I want to know the details. When the day comes that I am qualified, I certainly won’t let everyone down.” Samimi spoke with a polite tone that practically wafted through the screen.
“This… no problem,” Ma Fei thought for a moment and agreed to this request.
This newcomer obviously had a limitless future; giving her a small special privilege was justifiable.
Then Ma Fei took out a key to open the filing cabinet, took out a confidential mission document from inside, and handed it to Samimi.
Actually, it didn’t look that confidential; after all, it was just information kept in a small cabinet of a local guild. Samimi had a hundred ways to steal it, but being able to obtain it through official means was better.
“Thanks for the trouble, goodbye. Niubao, let’s go.” Samimi took the document, stood up, and left, her movements still swift.
The two left the local Adventurers Guild, returned to the inn to pack their luggage, and immediately set off for the mission location.
Although the manager said they weren’t qualified to participate, did she care about that?
There was nothing she, Samimi, wanted that anyone could stop her from getting.

“Whew, Niubao, let’s take a rest.”
After walking for a distance out of the city, Samimi was panting because she was carrying a travel backpack. She found a rock by the roadside and sat down to lie back.
She took out the mission envelope given by the manager and opened it to look.
There was no need to read the mission details; as a Transmigrator, Samimi already knew everything before choosing it. The main thing she needed was the mission location.
Because she knew the mission details but didn’t know exactly where it was supposed to take place.
At the same time, the four large words written on the materials were visible:
A-Rank Mission [Crystal Labyrinth].
This was exactly the first mission Samimi had traveled so hard to register as an adventurer to perform.
The name sounded like a brain-burning mission, but Transmigrators liked those the most.
It meant that no one else could clear it; only she could. It was simply a treasure waiting in the wilderness forever for her to claim.
“Hehe, this is what a relaxing and enjoyable adventure life should be like!”
Samimi let out a sly laugh, feeling her whole body filled with strength, stood up, and continued her journey.
