“I knew you wouldn’t stay obediently in the Royal City,” the person standing in the way said.
“Heh, I didn’t think the person who knew me best behind the scenes was you. You actually predicted my escape,” Samimi said.
“The day you become Archbishop is coming. Where do you want to go? Do you know how many children are waiting to see you appear tomorrow?” The person stepped out from the darkness of the shadows; it was the Oracle of Phantasms, Closs.
No wonder she hadn’t been seen before; she had been monitoring Samimi from the shadows and could predict Samimi’s escape route in advance.
The most annoying person is often the one who understands you best. Truly troublesome.
However, it just so happened that there was still a bit of a grudge between her and Closs. Since Closs had delivered herself into the net, it saved Samimi the trouble of looking for her.
“Don’t compare me to secular people like your Hero Party who chase fame and fortune. I’m not the Hero, and I don’t care what those children see tomorrow.” Samimi waved her small hand with an air of indifference.
“This behavior of yours is too irresponsible,” Closs accused.
“What am I responsible for? I was slandered and came out to clarify things. Now that my innocence is finally proven, you still want me to be responsible?” Samimi asked in return.
“You’re changing the subject. Your reputation is already louder than our Hero Party’s. You have to take this responsibility and can’t just leave,” Closs said.
“Nonsense. It’s precisely because I can’t just leave that I’m leaving secretly,” Samimi grumbled.
With that, Samimi took Niubao and passed by Closs’s side without any emotion, not stopping for a moment.
“Wait, I’m not finished yet.” Closs grabbed Samimi’s wrist, not letting her go.
“A good dog doesn’t block the way. Our business is over. Get lost.” Samimi turned her head and shouted.
Closs took a deep breath. Even someone as thick-skinned as her had to think for a moment before she could manage to force out the next words: “Come back. Let’s reform the Hero Party together.”
“Reform?” A word appeared that Samimi could not have predicted.
“Because you left, our Hero Party has become fragmented. Everyone can no longer stay together. Our home is already broken,” Closs said.
“Your home? Take me to see it.” Samimi also became curious.
“What do you want to do?” Closs questioned.
“If you’re not willing, then forget it. Goodbye.” Samimi brushed Closs’s hand away and continued walking.
“Fine, fine, fine. I’ll take you there.” Closs could only agree.
The three of them walked through the quiet streets of the Royal City. Closs took Samimi and Niubao to the private villa of the Hero Party.
Upon entering, Samimi felt the traces of those women’s lives. The atmosphere of daily life was very heavy, and many high-level pieces of equipment were stored there; they were all little rich women.
However, it seemed like everyone hadn’t been home for a long time, as there was dust in many places.
“I don’t know where any of them went, and I don’t know if they’ll ever come back.” Closs was touched by the scene and felt quite lonely.
“When did you guys get such a small mansion?” Samimi acted as if she were in her own home, searching everywhere.
“We already had it when we were in a party with you,” Closs replied.
“Wait, so you guys hid a secret base from me? I knew you guys hated me, but I didn’t think you hated me that early.” Samimi feigned a bitter smile.
“What are you looking for?” Seeing Samimi’s suspicious behavior, Closs realized something was off.
“Found it!” Samimi slipped into the Hero’s room. This woman’s room could only be described as neat—perfectly organized without a single wrinkle. However, Samimi found a letter on the desk.
Returning to the Main Hall, she flicked her small hand, instantly powering the magic lightbulbs. The hall suddenly became bright.
“What did you find?” Closs followed her out and asked.
“For you.” Samimi saw Closs’s name on the letter and placed it on the table. She then sat on the high-end long sofa to enjoy herself.
She even stole someone’s tea leaves and started brewing tea. She even found the chest of gold coins that Fabiana was supposed to pay as her reward.
Closs opened the letter and saw that it was from the Hero, Tsyas, saying that he and Bemore were going on a long-distance mission. Fabiana had gone back home to participate in the Knight Tournament. None of them would be home for the time being.
At the end of the letter, the Hero even said he would work hard to fight for everyone’s honor and would not live up to everyone’s expectations. It was all full of positive words.
This was completely opposite to Closs’s initial guess that the Hero Party was falling apart!
“Hero, you…” Closs’s hand holding the letter trembled slightly.
“Hero, you’re really an idiot! Why leave a message for someone in your own room? Is that what you’re thinking?” Samimi complained.
“I never thought that!” Closs refused to admit it.
“The Hero Party hasn’t disbanded at all. Why do you want to reform it?” Samimi asked.
“I…” Closs was momentarily speechless.
“Are you looking down on someone again? Do you think someone’s strength is too weak to stay in the Hero Party? Are you planning to kick someone out again? Is it Fabiana?” Samimi issued a sharp questioning.
“I never thought that.” Closs shook her head firmly.
“Seeing my strength become stronger, you prepared to drag me back. It’s clear that the Bond between you isn’t that deep. But I still want to say one thing: the Hero, you, and Bemore can all beat it, but don’t mess with Fabiana. You’ve already kicked her out once, are you preparing to do it again?” Samimi analyzed matter-of-factly.
“I told you, I never thought of expelling anyone,” Closs said.
“But didn’t you expel me?” Samimi brought the topic back.
“This… now is not the time to talk about this. That wasn’t my decision alone.” Closs was indeed led in circles.
“Haha, Fabiana said the same thing, and Bemore said the same thing. They’re just like you, saying it wasn’t their own decision and not their own fault. Then tell me, whose decision was it really?” Samimi hit the nail on the head.
“…” Closs was completely defeated by the retort.
“You seem to value the Hero Party very much, but you don’t value your own members at all. From what I know of the other three, they couldn’t possibly have run away. They are hot-blooded people with one-track minds. We Human Race are social creatures, but you are different from them…” Samimi said coldly, “Half-Elf, you’re just a lonely dog with no sense of security.”
However, these words were a fallacy, because the Half-Elf Closs’s personality was 100% that of a stubborn human, no different from the other girls.
But Samimi just wanted to sow discord and discrimination, striking at Closs’s sense of racial identity and increasing her sense of racial alienation.
“You’re a Half-Elf. You’re not a human after all. You were never one of us.”
This was the meaning Samimi wanted to express, purely to annoy her.
But what about me and you? Are Closs and I good friends? We’re enemies! I’m just here to make you feel bad.
As said before, it’s not that revenge won’t be taken; it’s just a matter of time.
Closs was indeed so confused that she began to doubt her life. She felt very upset but couldn’t find any excuse to refute it.
“Is that enough? I’ve helped you reform the Hero Party. Don’t bother me again.” Samimi took a sip of the fragrant tea and quietly stole the entire set of fine tea utensils.
“One thing is one thing. You haven’t agreed to my request to join the party yet.” As soon as Closs heard Samimi was leaving, she instantly perked up and resolutely blocked the doorway, keeping personal and professional matters separate.
“Ugh—” Samimi let out a groan. Indeed, it wasn’t so easy to shake off this difficult Elf.
If it were Fabiana or Bemore, those little girls would have been red-faced and unable to stop her from leaving.
But Closs’s skin was truly too thick. She didn’t even know her teammates had left her a message, yet she unilaterally misunderstood, determined to track her down and reform the party, and in the end, didn’t feel ashamed at all.
If she were haunted by this person, her relaxed and happy Otherworld adventure life would come to an end.
Because even if she left the Royal City, she couldn’t escape the endless tracking of the sick Elf girl. She would chase her to the ends of the earth, and there would never be a peaceful day.
“I will not join the Hero Party. Look for someone else,” Samimi rejected flatly.
“If you don’t agree today, don’t think about leaving. Sign this for me.” Closs even pulled out an official Adventurer’s Guild party certification, wanting Samimi to sign.
“Even if you kill me, I won’t go back, because I still have to raise a Cow.” Samimi tore up the party certificate on the spot.
“The Cow can join too. We’ll form a six-person party. If you don’t agree, I’ll pester you for the rest of your life,” Closs said.
“Your thick skin makes me afraid.” Samimi sucked in a breath of cold air, truly a little scared.
But even after racking her brains, she couldn’t think of any way to deal with Closs once and for all. Thinking it over, the only choice was murder, otherwise, she would definitely keep harassing and catching her.
And a lifetime really meant a lifetime; there was no shaking her off. After all, as a Half-Elf, she had a long life.
Sigh! Samimi suddenly thought of a way.
“Although I can’t join the Hero Party, I can introduce an expert of the same level as me to you,” Samimi said with a sinister smile.
“Who?” Closs asked.
“My sister, Refasafi. Like me, she’s a once-in-a-millennium Dual Mana Operator who has Awakened Healing Power and the Divine Element. Her strength is equal to mine and will definitely satisfy your needs.” To save her own life, Samimi could only sell out her sister.
“Hmm…” Closs fell into deep thought.
“Oh, right, I almost forgot. I prepared a little gift for you. After all, we’ve worked together for a while.” Samimi held out her small fist.
“What is it?” Closs was a little happy and leaned her Head in to look.
“The gift is… a punch!” Samimi roared, throwing a punch out of nowhere, blackening Closs’s eye socket with a single strike.
