The sky was gray, and a light rain began to fall.
Brother Feng stared at the face revealed after she removed her mask, completely stunned.
He didn’t remember Shisan Kai ever offending a girl like this.
The rain came swiftly.
The steel bar and iron rod clashed in midair with a deafening bang, sparks illuminating a face cold as iron.
Brother Feng’s pupils contracted.
‘So fast.’
Even his body, enhanced by the blood serum, could barely keep up with her speed.
“Master Mo owes me a debt. I’ll start collecting from his dogs first.”
The rain intensified. Bai Fan’s figure seemed to lose weight, merging into the wind and rain.
Her first strike missed. She immediately retreated, then, in the next second, lunged again!
Bam! Clang!
Sparks flew as they crossed paths.
Bai Fan paused in her step, using the centrifugal force of her turn to channel all her strength into the steel bar, slashing diagonally at Brother Feng’s neck.
At the same time, the iron rod in Brother Feng’s hand shot out like a venomous snake, whistling toward her face.
Bai Fan’s eye twitched as she instinctively sensed danger. She leaned back, dodging by half an inch.
The iron rod grazed her cheek, while her steel bar struck Brother Feng’s neck with full force.
Crack!
The sound of bone breaking was faintly audible.
Bai Fan stepped back two paces, wiped the blood trickling from her cheek, and flicked it away. The blood mingled with the rain.
She had only suffered a flesh wound.
Brother Feng, however, was worse off. His neck was twisted at an odd angle, forcing him to look at her sideways.
Yet, instead of fear, a grin spread across his face.
“Damn, that’s exhilarating!”
He rolled his neck. With a sickening grinding of bones, the twisted neck slowly returned to normal.
“Again!”
Bai Fan narrowed her eyes.
‘The Blood Descendant’s immortality? Ordinary weapons really can’t inflict fatal wounds on them easily.’
‘Was that blood serum given to him by Master Mo? Or is Master Mo himself empowered by a higher-ranking Blood Clan member?’
Countless thoughts flashed through her mind.
Seeing that she didn’t attack immediately, Brother Feng burst out laughing. “Scared? This is the power Master Mo got from the High Lord! I can be wounded countless times, but you—once I catch you, you’re dead!”
“Stupid pig.” Bai Fan sneered. “Then I’ll beat you until you’re completely paralyzed.”
With that, she charged again, even faster than before.
The steel bar was raised high, targeting his neck again.
Brother Feng’s eyes widened in surprise. He instinctively raised his iron rod to block, but the next moment, his expression changed.
It was a feint!
Bai Fan’s body dropped suddenly. The steel bar traced an arc and slammed into his knee.
Under her sharp observation, all of Brother Feng’s movements were exposed.
Swoosh!
The air split open as the steel bar landed heavily. Flesh tore, and blood splattered.
Even Brother Feng couldn’t help but grunt in pain. His body dropped to one knee.
At that moment, Bai Fan raised the steel bar and brought it crashing down toward his head!
Brother Feng rolled desperately to dodge.
Bam!
The steel bar struck the ground, sending water exploding upward in a fan-shaped curtain.
Bai Fan naturally didn’t let this chance slip. The moment he got up, she followed like a shadow.
Back, shoulders, arms, ribs.
The steel bar fell again and again. Dull impacts echoed in succession.
Even as a Blood Descendant, he couldn’t withstand such a relentless assault. Brother Feng was beaten back step by step.
Just then, Bai Fan keenly caught another opening.
The steel bar swept horizontally toward his face.
“Ugh!”
Brother Feng dodged with all his might, but the bar still hit his shoulder.
Crack!
The sound of bone fracture was swallowed by the rain.
The rain swirled. The steel bar in Bai Fan’s hand kept tearing through the air, landing on Brother Feng again and again.
Brother Feng stumbled backward. His leather shoes splashed large sheets of water as they stepped in puddles.
His left arm was completely useless. His shoulder was torn open, revealing dark red muscle tissue.
The Blood Descendant’s regeneration ability went into overdrive, healing the wounds continuously, but it still couldn’t keep up with Bai Fan’s destruction.
Yet at that moment, a slow grin spread across Brother Feng’s face.
“Had enough?”
Bai Fan’s pupils shrank. The steel bar was already in mid-swing, aimed at his temple.
Brother Feng didn’t dodge.
Because he had already seen through it. Since he couldn’t match her speed and reaction, he would use his body to memorize, to trade injuries, to learn her attack rhythm through countless beatings.
The next instant, he suddenly raised his “crippled” left arm.
Shattered bone fragments pierced through the muscle, bending the entire arm at a grotesque angle, clamping down on the descending steel bar.
Squeak—
The grinding of bone shards against the steel bar produced a hair-raising sound.
Bai Fan’s brow twitched. She immediately tried to pull back her weapon, but it didn’t budge.
The broken bone fragments, like barbs, had locked the steel bar tightly into the gap in his shoulder blade.
“Got you.”
Brother Feng grinned savagely.
His right hand released the iron rod, and he lunged forward using his body weight.
His left shoulder was already a bloody mess, the steel bar deeply embedded in it.
But he didn’t care. Pain was like a stimulant to him now.
Bai Fan reacted quickly. She let go of the weapon and retreated, but she was still a step too slow.
Brother Feng’s large hand had already clamped onto her shoulder. His fingers suddenly tightened, as if trying to crush her shoulder blade.
“Weren’t you running fast?”
His neck was still crooked, the unhealed cervical spine causing his head to tilt at a bizarre angle. Paired with his twisted grin, he looked like a demon crawling out of hell.
He yanked Bai Fan closer. His other hand also released the steel bar, and his arms closed around her, locking her in a crushing embrace.
Bai Fan struggled desperately. Her shoulder blade creaked under the strain, but the Blood Descendant’s strength clearly surpassed hers. She couldn’t break free.
In the rain, Brother Feng’s face rapidly approached.
Fangs extended, eyes bloodshot, they stared fixedly at the pulsing vein in her neck.
“Master Mo said—” His voice was filled with bestial greed and excitement. “The first taste of blood after becoming a Blood Descendant is the most nourishing!”
Just as he lunged, Bai Fan suddenly raised her hand and pressed it gently against his forehead.
Her fingers spread.
Brother Feng paused for a moment, then sneered contemptuously. “Is that all you’ve got?”
But the next second, his smile froze.
A faint smile curved at the corner of Bai Fan’s mouth. Her eyes were icy.
“Purification.”
Hum.
White light bloomed from her palm and instantly flooded his body.
Brother Feng’s face twisted violently, as if encountering a natural enemy.
Tendrils of bloody smoke frantically escaped from his eyes, ears, nose, and mouth, desperately trying to flee. The white light pursued, entangled them, and then burned them away bit by bit.
Brother Feng let out a blood-curdling scream. He suddenly released Bai Fan, staggered back, clutching his head. Blood gushed from all seven orifices.
Bai Fan landed on the ground, rolled her sore shoulder, and looked calm.
“Idiot.”
She spoke flatly. “Getting close was a trap I set on purpose, just for this moment.”
Brother Feng fell to his knees in the rainwater, hands supporting him as he gasped for breath.
With the Blood Descendant’s essence completely purified, his regeneration ability had vanished.
Not only that, but all the supernatural power he had gained during the transformation was also consumed.
Now, he was even weaker than before he became a Blood Descendant.
The rain kept pounding down.
Brother Feng lifted his head with difficulty.
The girl stood silently in the rain. Water ran down her cheeks. Her ice-blue eyes were calm, almost indifferent.
“Do you have anything else to say?”
Brother Feng’s voice was hoarse. “Who… are you?”
Bai Fan didn’t answer. She simply picked up the iron rod from the ground and gripped it slowly.
She looked at the man before her, her gaze cold.
“I’ll make you remember.”
The rain fell even harder.
