The door closed without any wind. The blue-haired girl’s pale calves were bent as her jade-like feet stepped lightly onto the windowsill.
Watching the scene before him, Flame Star felt his blood boil. His mouth went dry involuntarily, and he swallowed hard.
He feigned composure and asked, “How did you get here?”
“Flame Star, can you do something for me?” The girl rested her head on her knees, tilting it to the side as she asked softly.
“Why should I help you?” Flame Star paced forward, closing the distance between them. “What’s in it for me?”
“Benefits?”
Yun Ruoxi acted as if she had heard a joke. The corners of her mouth curled up, and she placed her index finger against her lips.
“Don’t you like me? Flame Star, isn’t it only natural to do things for the person you like?”
Flame Star fell silent for several seconds before shaking his head.
“Business is business! You don’t even like me, so why should I be your dog for some impossible feelings?”
With a beauty before him, Flame Star remained rational. However, it was also because the current Xinglan felt like a stranger to him, even slightly terrifying.
“Because you like me!” Yun Ruoxi repeated, a dangerous smile on her face. “Do you understand?”
As she finished speaking, a terrifying pressure radiated from her. Flame Star’s pupils trembled for a moment. Then, his voice sounded strained as he said, “I understand! What do you want me to do?”
“Don’t worry!”
Yun Ruoxi retracted her star energy, and her smile became sweet again. Once more, she turned into that harmless, soft-spoken girl.
“I won’t make things too difficult for you! I want your… ability to stop Brother A Zhen!”
“Stop… A Zhen?” Flame Star raised his head blankly. “Aren’t you with him —”
“See… isn’t this your chance?” Yun Ruoxi revealed a devilish smile.
Flame Star’s breathing grew ragged, and he looked up to say something. But just then, there was a knock on the door behind him.
*Knock, knock, knock!*
He instinctively glanced back. By the time he looked back at the windowsill, it was empty. Only a slip of paper drifted down through the air.
Flame Star reached out and caught it. The paper still seemed to hold a trace of warmth. Looking down, there were only five short words written on it, but they made his pupils constrict.

Meanwhile, in a residential house somewhere in Tree God City, Mo Yuan sat cross-legged on the bed and nodded gently.
“I understand! I’ll leave tomorrow morning!”
“If you don’t want to waste time on things outside the survival test, you can let me know.”
“The Doctor’s mission is my goal!” The corners of Mo Yuan’s mouth curled up. “Besides, I’m more than happy to go and eliminate my biggest rival first!”
“Is that so, Mo Yuan? You truly are my most outstanding student! Once you return, I will teach you that Star Technique. With it, you’ll have the power to defeat Xinglan!”
Dr. Forefinger’s voice came from the neck collar, sounding pleased. He was clearly satisfied with Mo Yuan’s attitude.
Mo Yuan’s eyes flickered, and he followed with a smile. “Thank you.”
“Say thank you for me as well!” A soft, tender girl’s voice suddenly rang out from outside.
Mo Yuan’s expression changed, and he turned to look. Outside the window, the stunningly beautiful blue-haired girl was standing barefoot in the air, a sweet smile on her face that made one’s heart skip a beat.
“Xinglan, how did you know I was here?”
Mo Yuan’s pupils shrank. He stood up abruptly from the bed and stared coldly at Yun Ruoxi.
“Just a little trick!”
Yun Ruoxi opened her palm. A small metal disc floated up from her hand before she suddenly clenched it in her fist.
“Xinglan…” The Doctor’s face shifted instantly as he watched through the surveillance. “You placed a tracker on his teammate while I was breaking the shackles? What are you trying to do?”
Mo Yuan realized what had happened, his expression turning extremely ugly. He hadn’t expected his observation skills, which he was so proud of, to be outmaneuvered by Yun Ruoxi.
‘This woman… she really isn’t as simple as she looks!’
“What am I doing?” Yun Ruoxi tilted her head. “I should ask what you’re planning to do instead.”
“Mo! Yuan!” She spoke the young man’s name word by word in a freezing tone.
Mo Yuan looked serious. “This is Dr. Forefinger’s order.”
Immediately after, Dr. Forefinger’s voice rang out from both of their neck collars.
“Xinglan, don’t make a scene. This is for your own sake!”
“I don’t care.” Yun Ruoxi shook her head and roared, “I already told you not to interfere in the matters between me and Brother A Zhen!”
As she finished speaking, a massive amount of telekinesis surged out, enveloping the house.
*Bang!*
The wooden walls of the room creaked, and the entire house began to shake. Cries of surprise from Mo Yuan’s teammates, including Bai Lu, came from downstairs.
“What’s going on?”
“Are the Tree God Guards attacking?”
“Don’t be afraid! Mo Yuan is still here!”
Mo Yuan’s face darkened. He immediately switched to his psychokinetic ability, attempting to stabilize the entire building. However, Yun Ruoxi’s telekinesis was simply too powerful.
In the next second, the wooden walls of the room cracked instantly. The ceiling, along with half of the wall — half of the residence — flew up precariously.
Then, with a scream from Yun Ruoxi, it was hurled dozens of meters away, smashing another house into smithereens.
“Xinglan!” Mo Yuan roared, flying out of the room to attack her. “Are you out of your damn mind? The Tree God Guards are still looking for us!”
“Hahaha!” Yun Ruoxi pulled at her eyelids with both hands, showing a manic smile that looked worse than crying. “I’m not crazy? Haven’t I been driven crazy by you people long ago?”
*Crack!*
The blue-haired girl abruptly used her telekinesis to seize the incoming Mo Yuan and tossed him back where he came from.
*Bang!*
Mo Yuan smashed through the floorboards and landed on the first floor.
Although he had telekinesis protecting his body and hadn’t sustained serious injuries, he looked incredibly disheveled. He was quickly surrounded by Bai Lu and the others nearby.
Given that Yun Ruoxi was clearly out of control and on a rampage, Dr. Forefinger could no longer remain calm.
He barked out an order, “Xinglan! Stop this instant! Do you intend to violate the rules of the Saints’ Hand Society?”
“Oh?” Yun Ruoxi smiled faintly. “Are you sure I’m violating the rules of the Saints’ Hand Society, or just yours?”
“What do you mean?” Dr. Forefinger asked coldly, his right hand pressing down on the remote control on his desk.
“I’m actually helping you!” Yun Ruoxi said indifferently.
“Which rule of the Saints’ Hand Society says one cannot attack trainees from the same battle camp? Do you really want to force me to confess that the one who truly betrayed the battle camp was Brother A Zhen, and I’m just an innocent scapegoat you’re using?”
“You’re the one who stood up!” Dr. Forefinger said coldly.
“Do you think the Shengcai will care? They will only know it was you who hid Brother A Zhen! Then aren’t you afraid your beloved Brother A Zhen will be punished?”
