“Tree God Guard!”
Lin Zhen’s heart skipped a beat. Without hesitation, he barked, “Attack!”
He immediately began to circulate his supernatural power.
But before he could even prepare his strike, a terrifying telekinetic force surged past him.
*Whoosh!*
Lin Zhen felt as if a spaceship had just zoomed past his ear.
In the next second, the Tree God Guard across from them froze in place and began to rise uncontrollably.
He slowly turned his head. Yun Ruoxi’s gaze was icy, and her right hand was clenched in a phantom grip.
*Crack, crack!*
The thick wooden armor on the Tree God Guard’s body was compressed by telekinesis, letting out a strained groan before dozens of cracks spider-webbed across it.
The Tree God Guard’s face was filled with shock. He was a veteran of many battles, yet he had never encountered a power as bizarre as the one Yun Ruoxi and her group possessed.
However, he was still an elite stationed in the King City.
Even though his body was firmly pinned by telekinesis and he could not move, he could still communicate with the Tree God weapon in his hand.
With a thought, the wooden armor on his body began to heal at high speed. It thickened continuously, forcibly pushing away the telekinetic force covering its surface.
Though he could not yet break free from the telekinetic control, he had escaped the immediate danger to his life.
At the same time, a loud, rumbling sound echoed from beneath the ground.
The entire street suddenly split open, and the root system of those red flowers lashed out toward Yun Ruoxi and the others like venomous snakes.
Yun Ruoxi raised her left hand, pouring out most of her telekinesis to restrain every attacking root.
Seeing this through the gaps in his wooden armor, the Tree God Guard’s eyes narrowed. He communicated with the Tree God weapon once more.
In the next instant, a visible wave of green light radiated from the surface of his armor, spreading across the entire street.
Iron shield, wind wall, shadow possession…
Lin Zhen and the others instinctively used various means to resist the green wave.
But the green light ignored all their defenses, passing straight through their bodies and disappearing at the end of the street.
“What the hell is that?” Kaos felt around his body, trying to find any adverse effects.
Lin Zhen closed his eyes for a few seconds in silence before suddenly opening them. “That green wave wasn’t aimed at us!”
“Really?” Anvil breathed a sigh of relief.
“Then what was it for?” Kaos lowered his hands, puzzled.
Before he could finish his sentence, an eerie sound of twisting wood creaked from both sides of the street.
Zi Jiu turned to look. Her pupils shrank as she cried out in horror, “Watch out! These houses have come to life!”
“What?!” Kaos looked up. The buildings on both sides of the street had grown arms and legs. They stood up from the ground, cracking their knuckles as they charged toward them.
“Ha!”
Yun Ruoxi suddenly let out a low shout.
Her hair drifted upward, and she quickly levitated. She was pushing her supernatural power to its absolute limit.
The mimicry device failed under the intense telekinetic pressure.
Light flickered across her body several times before she returned to her original appearance.
Simultaneously, almost in a flash, all the surrounding house giants were pinned down by her telekinesis.
“Die!”
She spread her arms and looked coldly at the Tree God Guard not far away. She squeezed both hands shut with force, veins bulging across her temples.
*Puff!*
The roots of the massive red flowers and the house giants were simultaneously blown into fragments by the powerful telekinetic force.
Green sap fell like rain along with wooden splinters.
The thickened wooden armor was also crushed, resulting in numerous cracks under the suddenly intensified telekinesis.
The Tree God Guard felt as if he had been struck by a heavy blow. He let out a muffled groan as green blood continuously leaked from the corners of his mouth.
“Sister is so strong!” Aili clapped her hands happily.
Lin Zhen, Zi Jiu, and the others looked up, staring blankly at the blue-haired girl who looked like a goddess.
In just over a dozen days, Yun Ruoxi had become significantly stronger compared to before the survival test.
This rate of growth was simply incomprehensible to them.
[With Xiao Xi around, there is such a sense of security]
[Lao Xi is too strong; it is practically unreasonable]
[True, Lao Xi is so powerful that it makes the goblins look like mere accessories]
Yun Ruoxi did not show any joy at Aili’s cheering. Instead, she suddenly looked toward the 7 o’clock direction, her expression changing.
“Move! Other Tree God Guards are coming.”
“Let’s go together. We’ll help you finish him off first!”
Lin Zhen waved his hand forward.
The already condensed star energy metal spear floated in front of his chest and shot toward the Tree God Guard.
*Swish!*
A silver flash accompanied a faint whistling sound.
The spear pierced through the hard wooden armor — which even Yun Ruoxi had struggled to break — as easily as if it were poking through tofu.
It then proceeded to impale the Tree God Guard’s body.
Lin Zhen clenched his right hand and pulled. The spear, which was about to pass through the guard’s body, suddenly stalled. It began to transform, growing spider-web-like sharp iron spikes around the shaft.
These long iron spikes destroyed the Tree God Guard’s internal organs and skewered his body.
Seeing the opponent’s head slump powerlessly, Lin Zhen breathed a sigh of relief and shifted his intent.
*Puff!*
The iron spikes on the spear retracted, and the weapon flew back to Lin Zhen’s side.
He looked up at the panting Yun Ruoxi, preparing to speak, but he saw her suddenly reach out her right hand toward him. A massive amount of telekinesis surged directly at him.
The girl’s eyes were cold, filled with a bone-chilling killing intent that caused Lin Zhen’s movements to freeze instantly. He instinctively thought, ‘Is Xiao Xi… trying to kill me?’
But in the next second, her anxious call pulled him back to reality.
“Watch out!”
*Whoosh!*
The telekinesis transformed into a seamless shield, enveloping everyone and carrying them at high speed toward the end of the street.
Then, there was a crisp snap.
The ground where they had just stood split open instantly. A terrifying plant — sharing a similar structure to a Venus flytrap but thousands of times larger and possessing sharp teeth — was revealed.
It closed its mouth with a deceptive speed, swallowing soil, houses, and the dead green elf in a single bite.
Its leaves, tinged with a hint of red, bulged instantly.
*Crunch, crunch!*
The terrifying plant began to chew, and green blood dripped from the gaps between its leaves.
Yun Ruoxi looked at it expressionlessly.
She suddenly raised her right hand, catching a wooden spear that had been shot from a distance. It was held firmly in place exactly 10 centimeters from her palm.
The camera slowly panned.
Not far away, a burly green elf stood atop a 100-meter-long vine. His right hand was extended in a throwing posture.
On his shoulder sat a small sapling, which was continuously producing spiral-shaped spears.
In an instant, dozens of spears hung from the small sapling like icicles on a house’s eaves.
“Oh, you blocked it?”
He shook his head and plucked a spear from the sapling. “What an impressive character!”
“Xiao Xi!”
Lin Zhen pounded on the telekinetic shield, producing muffled thuds.
Then, with a *swish*, the shield dissipated, and everyone dropped to the ground at the end of the street.
“Sister!”
Aili stood up, wanting to run toward Yun Ruoxi.
“Don’t come over!” Yun Ruoxi suddenly shouted, using telekinesis to gently push Aili back. “All of you, get out of here right now!”
