Su Nian suddenly opened her right eye.
‘Activate!’
[Eye of Temporal Reversal] — Void Beast Pact!
In an instant, deep within the pupil of her beautiful right eye, complex and mysterious nebula-like vortex patterns began to swirl like a starry sky!
An invisible, powerful spiritual force burst forth from her right eye, mingling with the intense image of her ideal Contract Beast in her mind, like a stone cast into a tranquil lake, piercing through the barrier of space in a flash.
It reached out towards that enigmatic, unfathomable “Void Beast Lair” connecting to an unknown dimension!
According to the system’s description.
The Void Beast Pact would connect her with Contract Beasts based on the summoner’s desires.
Of course, those desires had to be reasonable.
If not, it could have the opposite effect—just like wishing for a god-level Contract Beast; since it was impossible, she would actually lose the right to choose her own criteria.
So she needed to think carefully!
Contract Beasts, they came from the mysterious void, beings of unimaginable power.
But what would they really look like?
What abilities would they possess?
She closed her eyes, focusing all her attention, carefully outlining the shape of her very first Contract Beast in her mind.
‘First, it had to be strong enough! At least at the Holy rank, maybe even higher!’
Only then would she have hope of contending with that unfathomably powerful bastard, Horned Demon, as well as that undead knight emanating a terrifying aura—Da Hei.
Second, the Contract Beast had to possess powerful flight abilities.
Its size had to be great enough to serve as her mount.
With her current [Holy Knight Physique], her physical strength far surpassed any ordinary person; a regular warhorse simply couldn’t withstand the force of her full charge.
She needed a “mount” equally strong and indestructible, only then could she fully unleash the power of a knight’s charge.
Next, elemental affinity.
Wind would be best, or thunder.
Wind could amplify her fire magic, combining wind and fire into a broader, more devastating wide-area attack, especially suited for sweeping away enemy mobs.
Thunder could merge with her water magic, using water’s conductivity to enhance the paralysis and destructive power of lightning to the utmost—whether for pinpoint single-target control or for terrifying bursts of damage, it would be a tremendous help.
And, by learning how a Contract Beast wields thunder magic, she could counter Horned Demon’s thunder magic as well.
Of course, if luck allowed her to summon an even rarer and more powerful space or time-element Contract Beast, that would be an unexpected delight.
Lastly, and just as important—intelligence!
She didn’t want her Contract Beast to be like the magical pets in the pet dueling arenas, mere fighting tools needing constant commands from a beastmaster.
She needed one with independent thought, able to understand her intentions, to be attuned to her heart, a true comrade who could fight alongside her!
A companion and friend, not a tool!
“Strong!”
“Capable of flight!”
“Can serve as my mount!”
“Best if it’s wind or thunder element!”
“Possesses high intelligence—a partner who can fight by my side!”
The girl’s will, like a call across time and space, echoed deep within the void, searching for a presence in resonance.
Then, the air before her began to twist and ripple violently…
Like boiling water, countless ripples spread out!
A vast, indescribable aura, as if from outside the world, ancient and boundless, descended in an instant!
The presence was so overwhelming, so wild and primal, it radiated a kind of ancient pressure that made her very soul tremble.
It felt as if an ancient behemoth, asleep for a billion years, was about to awaken.
Space cracked with a brittle “ka-cha” sound like shattering glass, a pitch-black fissure suddenly appeared, spreading rapidly!
Chaotic space currents surged forth, whipping Su Nian’s golden hair about, sending her robes fluttering.
This powerful spatial turbulence, like a massive stone thrown into a calm lake, instantly stirred up ripples that spread in all directions!

Red Maple Magic Academy, Headmaster’s Office.
The elderly white-haired headmaster, in the midst of reviewing documents, suddenly jerked his head up, his cloudy eyes turning sharp as a hawk’s, gaze piercing the wall toward the back mountains, his expression a mix of shock and uncertainty.
“Such powerful spatial fluctuations… Is some elder conducting a space experiment? No… this aura… it’s as if… not from this world?”

Shadowmoon Manor, in the study.
Chu Tian, leisurely sipping black tea and reading documents, suddenly froze, his finger halting mid-turn, brow creasing ever so slightly.
He distinctly sensed an abnormal space disturbance, its origin… seemingly from the direction of the Academy?
Though faint and distant, it still sent a strange tremor through his heart.
‘That little wildcat, Su Nian, did say she had business at the Magic Academy. Could this commotion… be her doing?’

In a distant, shadowy underground chamber in Mossenburg.
A figure shrouded in a thick aura of death, meditating with closed eyes, eyelids quivered ever so slightly, as if sensing something, but ultimately fell silent once more.

At this moment, Su Nian, at the very center of the storm, was already completely stunned by the sight before her.
From within the pitch-black rift, a massive head covered in azure scales slowly emerged!
‘It was… a dragon’s head!’
Elegant and graceful lines, as if sculpted by the hands of the greatest artist.
Two long, imposing dragon horns gleamed with a lustrous, jade-like sheen.
A pair of sapphire vertical pupils, as pure as the sky, filled with majesty and wisdom, gazed curiously upon her.
Next appeared a long and supple neck, a massive body covered in fine scales, and a pair of enormous dragon wings folded on either side of its back, as if cast from azure porcelain!
A true giant dragon!
It fully emerged from the space fissure, hovering in midair.
Its entire body was encircled by visible blue currents, the pure and mighty power of wind elements, making the very air hum with joy.
Merely hovering there, it radiated a suffocating aura of majesty.
