Inside the classroom of Class 25, Year 1 at Lidel Magic Academy, a group of fifteen- or sixteen-year-old students was chattering noisily…
Even though it was already time for class, the entire classroom didn’t look the least bit ready for a lesson.
Most of the students were still laughing and chatting with their classmates, and quite a few were wandering around the classroom, roughhousing, or snacking…
Scenes like this had become quite common in Class 25 lately.
After all, they were just a bunch of newly enrolled students, and most of them came from noble families.
Since childhood, they’d lived pampered lives, at the very least enjoying privileges far above ordinary people who couldn’t use Magic.
With no worries about food or clothing, spoiled at home, used to servants’ obedience and parents’ doting, they’d never really developed any sense of discipline.
Not to mention, during this period, their original Class Advisor, Teacher Lynn, was often away on business, and the substitute teachers who’d come in one after another didn’t really care about a class that wasn’t their own.
They always arrived a few minutes late, and so, things gradually turned out this way.
But today…something seemed a little different?
“Hey, Ximon, did you hear? We might be getting a new Assistant Teacher this afternoon. I heard she’s a pretty young woman. Someone saw Teacher Lynn taking her to complete her onboarding procedures this morning, so she’ll probably come to our class.”
At the center of the classroom, a blond youth with long, slanted bangs and an air of nobility lazily propped his chin on his fist as he listened to one of his many lackeys speak.
This arrogant-looking blond boy, Ximon, was no ordinary student.
His father was the current president of the Empire Chamber of Commerce, which put his family background among the most prestigious in a class full of young nobles.
That’s why, when classes were assigned, Ximon had chosen the regular Class 25 on purpose—better to be the head of a chicken than the tail of a phoenix.
Naturally, with his family background, it only took him a month to become the king of the kids here, recruiting several boys as his lackeys…
He had already built his own little kingdom within the class.
“Oh? Assistant Teacher? Not another substitute?”
“Probably not. After all…if we keep not having a proper teacher, the school will worry that our parents will complain.”
Hearing his lackey’s news, Ximon didn’t show much emotion.
He just yawned in boredom, then sneered and gave his lackey a hint:
“Let her come, let her come, pfft…and it’s a woman this time. I hope this Assistant Teacher knows her place and doesn’t cause me any trouble. She can teach her class, and we’ll do our own thing, got it?”
“Got it, boss~!”
The lackeys around Ximon immediately nodded in understanding.
A moment later, another lackey eagerly piped up:
“Hey, boss, I got my hands on the new Assistant Teacher’s onboarding information sheet. Want to take a look~?”
“Oh? You’re pretty well informed, aren’t you?”
Though he looked indifferent on the surface, Ximon was actually a bit curious about this new teacher.
He took the onboarding form from his lackey and glanced at the information…
Scan…
DP…….
Huh?!
In an instant, the ever-cool Ximon couldn’t keep up his act.
He showed a rare look of utter confusion.
Because, at first glance, he saw it—on Keti’s onboarding application, under the Magic Talent section, there was a glaring “D”!
D-level…
Magic Talent?!
Ximon immediately started to doubt his own brain—was he processing the information wrong?
So he looked again, carefully…
Okay, this time there was no mistake.
It really was D-level Talent!
@…………..@jojoo……..
His confusion instantly turned into a surge of anger, as if someone had just humiliated him.
Ximon let out a sinister laugh, then immediately stood up and waved the paper in his hand, shouting to everyone: “Puhahahaha—this is hilarious~! Everyone, guess what level our new Assistant Teacher’s Magic Talent is? D-Rank, D-Rank! Hahahahahahaha…”
He snickered again.
Hearing this, the surrounding students—whether they were on good terms with Ximon or not—began whispering among themselves…
A moment later, Ximon sat back down, a cold smirk curling on his lips as he propped up his chin…
“Heh, this trashy school, and that trashy Teacher Lynn, actually dare look down on me… thinking they can send a D-level nobody to teach me? What a joke! Fine, then…Let’s see if this Miss Keti has what it takes to be my teacher! Hmph—!”
Just as he finished speaking, the classroom door swung open.
A beautiful silver-haired girl in a sweater and long pants stood at the doorway, holding a stack of lesson plans.
She blinked in confusion at the noisy scene inside the classroom.
Um.
So, this is the Class 25 I’m supposed to teach?
Looking at the scene inside, Keti, who was about to become the de facto Class Advisor, fell into deep thought.
After a moment, she took a deep breath, and then…
Her eyes lit up!
Ah.
Oh my, my students…are so lively~!
Cough, cough, cough…
That’s right!
Since it was her first day as a teacher, Keti wasn’t angry at all at the lively scene before her.
In fact, she found it pretty normal.
Maybe it was because she’d been a student for so long.
The girl actually thought scenes like this between classes were pretty nice—it at least showed everyone got along.
Back when she was in school, Keti herself didn’t like to talk, but watching her classmates horse around during breaks was pretty entertaining.
Hmm…how to put it, it was like watching a free play, opera, or circus skit!
Ah…
As a socially anxious person, honestly, even though she’d reluctantly agreed to become a teacher for the sake of food and survival, facing so many students and standing up to teach…gulp…was still a bit daunting.
When Keti was preparing in her dorm at noon, she’d spent over half an hour psyching herself up before she dared walk to the classroom door.
If possible, she wanted to get along with her students like friends, not become some stern authority figure everyone feared, just to achieve efficient management.
Maybe that would make things easier~?
With such naïve hopes, the silver-haired girl took a deep breath, quickly walked up to the podium, wrote her name on the blackboard with chalk, then turned around to address the whole class:
“Hello everyone, my name is Keti, and I’m your…eh?”
W-wait a second?
As soon as she started speaking, the silver-haired girl realized something was off.
Why was it still so noisy even after she’d started talking?!
Hiss—
She immediately felt a strange pressure…
Were her students…a little too lively?!
