Manager’s shout brought a crowd, instantly surrounding the private room.
Seeing so many people, Lu Yunze and the others’ expressions darkened.
They thought they were catching a petty thief, but they had stumbled into a hornet’s nest.
“Don’t worry, Young Master, Miss. They may outnumber us, but bare-handed, they’re nothing compared to…”
Before Lin Ying could finish, the group pulled out various weapons like magicians.
Among them were the Flaming Sword and Red Light Blade that Lu Yunze had seen before.
“Uh, at least there are no Secret Arts Practitioners among them…”
“Stop it, Uncle Lin, just shut up.”
Luo Yao couldn’t stand his jinxing and shooed him away.
Her face was dark the whole time.
Ever since that Manager had spoken rudely to her, she’d wanted to cause a scene.
Now that the other side had thrown down the gauntlet, she didn’t need to hold back.
First, they had to escape this cramped space, or she couldn’t use her Secret Arts.
“Brother Lu, Uncle Lin, close your eyes so you don’t get caught in the crossfire.”
The other two immediately understood what she was about to do.
The moment they shut their eyes, Luo Yao began her operation.
The wind grew stronger.
Even indoors, it felt like a gale outside.
The wind kicked up dust on the floor, blinding the enemies.
Lin Ying raised an Ice Wall on the spot, then advanced together with Lu Yunze, carving a path through the crowd. They successfully left the private room and entered the corridor.
Not far away, a door opened, and a drunken guest stumbled out.
“What’s going on? Why all the noise?”
“Huh? Is this a gang fight?”
He rubbed his eyes, but Lin Ying’s Ice Wall burst on its own.
Under the wind’s influence, the ice shards shot outward like sharp cannonballs.
“Whoa!”
One shard hit the wall nearby, embedding itself deep, scaring him back inside and slamming the door shut.
The duo’s combo blew down most of the enemies.
Luo Yao took the chance to locate that bastard.
“Found him!”
The Manager was hiding in the back.
As their eyes met, a chill crawled up his spine, and he scrambled away in fear.
The wind had blown off Luo Yao’s hat, and her tied-up hair came loose.
That face was all too familiar to the Manager.
“Is it really Luo Yao?!”
“Don’t think you can run. I’ll tear your tongue out.”
The Manager didn’t forget to pull out his walkie-talkie and yelled into it in panic:
“Finish up outside and come back! There are three Secret Arts Practitioners here! If you don’t hurry, we’re done for!”
Outside?
Hearing that, Lu Yunze pursed his lips.
He wanted to support them.
The combat power here was overflowing, but outside there were only a few servants with guns. How could they handle Secret Arts Practitioners?
But the number of enemies in the KTV surpassed Lu Yunze’s imagination.
Though not troublesome opponents, their sheer numbers kept him from leaving.
Plus, panicked bystanders were fleeing, and just not being swept away by the crowd was a stroke of luck.
“Luo Yao, help me out… Luo Yao? Where is she?”
By the time Lu Yunze snapped back to reality, she was gone.
Too busy chasing the Manager, she’d disappeared somewhere.
“Tch, how am I supposed to get out without demolishing this whole place?”
Click!
Hearing that familiar sound, Lu Yunze looked up to see the pitch-black gun barrels.
“Open fire!”
Gunshots thundered like thunder.
Lu Yunze retreated to a corner under a hail of bullets, then touched his arm where he’d been hit.
His clothes were burned.
But luckily, his scales protected him. Ordinary bullets only stung, leaving no wounds.
Still, pushing forward through this rain of bullets would be tough.
The gunfire stopped.
The moment Lu Yunze peeked out, they pulled the triggers again.
Back and forth, endless.
As Lu Yunze pondered his next move, someone tapped his shoulder.
Turning around, it was Lin Ying.
“Young Master, you want to get out, right?”
“How did you know?”
“From the look on your face. You’re worried about that maid, aren’t you?”
“Don’t tell Luo Yao.”
Seeing Lu Yunze’s bitter expression, Lin Ying smiled.
“Young Master, how about I lend you a hand?”
Startled at first, Lu Yunze then brightened with joy.
As the advancing gun squad saw Lu Yunze swaggering out, they all stopped in their tracks.
“Should we shoot?”
“Why isn’t he afraid?”
“Is it a trap?”
The Captain frowned slightly.
The smile on Lu Yunze’s face gave him a bad feeling.
But he still swung his hand down, giving the order:
“Open fire!”
He wanted to see what trick Lu Yunze would use to survive this barrage.
Lu Yunze remained calm.
He didn’t even flinch when the gunfire started.
Because someone was there to help block those bullets.
An Ice Wall rose out of thin air, covering Lu Yunze’s front entirely.
The storm of bullets slammed into the ice.
Either bouncing off or getting stuck, they couldn’t harm Lu Yunze behind it.
“Open fire! Don’t stop! Keep going!”
The Captain kept shouting.
But soon, all gunfire ceased.
They were out of ammo.
Just as he ordered a reload, Lin Ying knew it was his chance. He continued his Ice Mystic Art.
The ice spread from the wall, covering the corridor’s walls and floor.
The armed enemies backed away, afraid their feet would freeze.
“Your turn to shine, Young Master!”
Lu Yunze told Lin Ying the room number he’d memorized.
“Alright.”
Then he raised his fist at the Ice Wall.
Force Accumulation Anchor set.
Lu Yunze punched, striking the Ice Wall.
Shattered ice shards flew out.
That was only a brief distraction.
Lu Yunze leaped forward, using the slippery ice to layer Force Accumulation Anchors quickly, reaching them in no time.
By then, the Captain had just reloaded, muttering “Great” while turning around.
Only to see Lu Yunze right in front of him.
“Hi there.”
Getting close meant only one outcome.
Lu Yunze knew a truth.
Whether mage or shooter, once you’re close, you’re done.
He took them out swiftly, then rushed out of the KTV at top speed, reaching the street outside.
As expected, the bystanders had long since fled.
The two Luo family cars were now stacked on top of each other.
A strange man sat on top.
He wore a black tank top, his muscles bulging, a cigar dangling from his lips.
“I knew someone would come. Saves me the trouble of finding you.”
Lu Yunze ignored him, scanning for Jiang Sui.
Which car had she been in?
Not the one underneath, right?
It was almost flattened!
“Tch, a pretty boy. I was hoping for a worthy opponent.”
Sensing the rage radiating from Lu Yunze, the man spat out his cigar, stood up, leaped high, and crashed down toward Lu Yunze.
Lu Yunze dodged to the side, then threw a backhanded punch.
Bam!
The sound wasn’t like hitting flesh at all.
It was more like striking metal.
A sharp, numbing pain shot through Lu Yunze’s brain, as if his fingers were broken.
The man pounded his chest.
“Hardened Flesh, kid! Your little fist can’t—”
Before he could finish, Lu Yunze punched again, sending him flying into a distant car.
The man crawled out of the dented vehicle, gasping.
He looked down in disbelief.
His proud, hard chest was now sunken after taking that punch.
“You bastard, don’t use your fists!”
Lu Yunze was taken aback, then smirked.
“Fine.”
The man roared and charged, throwing a punch that Lu Yunze dodged.
Seizing the opening, Lu Yunze spun and kicked him in the back of the head, slamming him face-first into the ground.
The man groaned in pain, a large depression forming in the back of his head.
He staggered up, backing away.
“Don’t use your feet either!”
“Alright.”
The man froze, not expecting Lu Yunze to agree.
No hands or feet? So Lu Yunze crouched, bent over, then lunged forward.
His body shot like a cannonball, tearing through the air.
A headbutt to the man’s stomach sent him flying again.
The man clutched his gut, sliding a long distance before foaming at the mouth.
But he was still conscious.
He could still run…
Lu Yunze was already beside him, throwing the final punch to the side of his head.
Bam!
The sound of the fist hitting his head was almost simultaneous with his head hitting the road.
“Serves you right.”
Lu Yunze exhaled deeply, stood up, and turned to look at the cars.
“Jiang Sui…”
Boom!
The fuel tank exploded.
Flames engulfed both cars.
Leaving Lu Yunze frozen in place.
