Movira said nothing at all.
She simply took Seraphina’s wrist and quickly led her away from the study.
Seraphina stumbled a little as she was pulled along, her heart filled with both confusion and a touch of panic.
She looked at Movira’s taut profile, which was even colder and harder than usual, clearly showing that the other woman’s mood was quite bad at the moment.
Yet it seemed… there was also a strange feeling that was being deliberately suppressed.
“Ah… where are you taking me?” Seraphina carefully tried asking once.
Movira did not respond.
She only stared straight ahead and continued walking.
“But… what happened? Say something!” Seraphina thought the other hadn’t heard her, so she deliberately raised her volume and tried to tug her wrist free.
As a result, the grip only tightened further.
Still only silence.
Seraphina was certain Movira could hear her speaking; she simply didn’t want to answer.
This one-sided coldness made Seraphina a little irritated, and also somewhat aggrieved.
She felt like some object being dragged around for no reason, completely unable to understand the situation.
Thinking back on everything she had done throughout the day, where exactly had she offended Movira?
No matter how she thought about it, there didn’t seem to be anything.
Just as Seraphina was sinking into this increasingly dense gloomy mood, Movira finally stopped in front of a door.
She pushed the door open, unceremoniously brought Seraphina inside, and then closed the door behind them.
Only a few wall lamps were lit inside the room, casting a dim and soft light.
On a small long table covered with a tablecloth, dinner had already been laid out.
The faint aroma of the food drifted in the air.
Strangely, however, there were only two chairs by the table.
Looking at this arrangement, the doubt in Seraphina’s heart lessened a little, and she also breathed a sigh of relief.
Her tone even carried a bit of complaint: “You should have said earlier that we were coming to eat… Being all mysterious and not saying a word the whole way, I thought something major had happened and was scared to death… If I was hungry, of course I’d come to eat.”
As she spoke, her gaze swept over the only two chairs, and she asked, “This… is there still some confidential matter to discuss? Looking at this setup, no one else will be allowed in.”
She tried to break the strange atmosphere with a lighter tone.
At the same time, she walked closer to one of the chairs, preparing to sit down.
But the moment she bent to sit, Movira’s figure flashed, and she actually took the seat first, naturally sitting in the position Seraphina had originally intended.
As a result, when Seraphina sat down, she landed on a warm “cushion.”
She almost bounced right back up, and her face flared red in an instant.
From the sitting posture, Seraphina immediately understood the situation.
Startled, she frantically tried to stand up and escape this overly intimate position.
“What are you doing?! I chose this seat first!”
But an arm, faster and more forceful, wrapped around her waist, firmly pinning her in place.
“Don’t move,” Movira finally spoke, right by Seraphina’s ear. “Just sit here.”
These simple few words carried a commanding tone that had not been shown for a long time.
Yet Seraphina still found it highly embarrassing and annoying.
She struggled several times, only to find that the arm around her waist was like an iron hoop.
“Movira! Let me go already, what does this look like! I have my own chair!”
Just then, a spoon filled with thick soup was brought to her lips, still steaming and fragrant.
Seraphina instinctively tried to turn her head away, but her chin was gently pinched by the hand that had been around her waist, making it impossible for her to turn her head at all.
“Mmph…”
She wanted to open her mouth to refuse, but the warm soup was fed in at that opportunity.
Setting aside this feeding action that made her so uncomfortable, the taste was quite good—it was something she liked, and the temperature was just right.
She glared with rounded eyes in anger: “What are you doing! I can do it myself, but this posture…”
She could only force herself to swallow it.
Before she could finish her next words, a piece of meat was precisely stuffed into her newly emptied mouth.
“Ngh!” Seraphina wanted to spit it out, but the delicious flavor melted on her tongue, making her unconsciously start chewing, and finally even swallow.
This instinctive reaction made her even more ashamed and furious, feeling like a doll being manipulated.
She wanted to push Movira’s hand away, but the other party gave her no chance at all.
The soup spoon and fork alternated, food being delivered to her mouth in an orderly fashion.
There were vegetables, soup, and even fruit.
Throughout the entire process, Seraphina only needed to open her mouth, truly living the life of “having food delivered to her mouth”… Even occasional crumbs at the corner of her mouth would be gently wiped away.
“Wait! …That, don’t touch there.”
As time passed, Seraphina noticed that Movira’s body was so hot… an abnormally hot temperature, but she didn’t pay too much attention to it.
Movira also almost stopped speaking, focusing only on the “feeding” actions.
There wasn’t much emotion visible in her eyes; all Seraphina could see was single-minded persistence.
At first, Seraphina was still struggling and resisting, twisting her body, occasionally letting out dissatisfied whimpers, and also trying to block with her hands.
But Movira’s movements could always resolve her insignificant resistance.
Gradually, realizing that resistance was hopeless, Seraphina’s strength seemed to have been drained away as well.
It was probably because she was too tired, or maybe because the food tasted quite good; in any case, Seraphina found many excuses for herself not to resist.
Her resisting movements grew weaker and weaker, until they almost became half-hearted compliance.
She no longer thought of standing up, nor did she push with her hands.
When another spoonful of soup was brought over, she even… obediently opened her mouth…
After realizing this, her entire head burned with heat, as if she were about to give off steam and turn into a steam girl.
In her heart, she also scolded herself for being spineless, but… this comfort of not needing to do anything herself was something her body would not refuse.
Later, she even self-abandonedly thought, Forget it, I can’t resist anyway… and it doesn’t seem so… hard to accept anymore.
When this thought surfaced, she wished she could bury herself.
The meal ended in this ambiguous atmosphere.
After the last bite of dessert was fed to her, Seraphina’s cheeks were flushed, her eyes moist, and she was even breathing a little heavily, as if she had just finished an intense “battle.”
She muttered softly, “I’m so full, it’s all your fault…”
Only then did Movira release the arm around Seraphina’s waist, but she did not immediately let the other get up.
She picked up a napkin and carefully wiped the corners of Seraphina’s mouth again.
Seraphina stiffened her body, not daring to move even a little, afraid that the other might make a mistake…
Right now, she only felt that the temperature on her face was enough to fry an egg.
After a moment, Movira’s low voice sounded again, sounding a bit tired:
“Just go back and sleep later. No need to go anywhere else. It’s not late anymore, and besides, we’ve been traveling for half a day already. You’re tired.”
Although what she said wasn’t wrong, Seraphina always felt that tonight would not be easy to get through.
