In the end, only the four members from Dormitory 602, Aider and his team, Xia Qi, Sang Tian, the fat boy, and the science guy remained at the ski resort.
After a short discussion, the rest of their tasks were quite simple, aside from the filming team needing to record continuously and the two main actors, Song Qiuyu and Jiang Xiao, needing to follow the script.
All they had to do was evacuate the ski resort on camera.
Thus, filming continued.
Once Xie Zhuran and the others had left, Jiang Xiao followed the script and pretended to get lost in the snow.
After wandering in circles for a while, he collapsed onto the ground, feigning unconsciousness.
The snow on the ground was freezing, yet he had only collapsed once. Someone else had already tread upon it countless times with bare feet.
For a moment, his heart ached even more for Xi’er.
‘Once this scene is finished and we return to the hot spring hotel, I must make her soak her feet in the hot spring to warm up her body!’ Jiang Xiao thought.
Then, Song Qiuyu stepped onto the snow with bare feet, exhaling white mist.
She glanced in Jiang Xiao’s direction and, seeing that he was no longer moving, ran over quickly.
She knelt down and poked his face with her finger.
Considering how cold the snow was, she didn’t dare delay and immediately tried to help him up.
However, the size difference between them was too great.
Coupled with her hands and feet being somewhat stiff from the cold, the first attempt failed. With a loud thud, she was pinned to the snow by Jiang Xiao.
The fall sent snow flying, leaving two human-shaped pits of moderate depth in the ground.
“Ugh… such a heavy human,” Song Qiuyu muttered under her breath, her eyes narrowing in disdain.
Jiang Xiao didn’t dare make a sound.
Watching the young girl on camera struggle with all her might to lift the boy—who was much larger than her—and slowly shuffle toward the exit of the ski resort, Aider’s eyes sparkled.
He and his team moved in perfect sync, filming the entire way.
Outside the camera’s view, Xie Zhuran and the others watched the scene unfold, involuntarily cheering for Song Qiuyu. This scene was the most taxing for her.
She was barefoot, carrying the much larger Jiang Xiao, and had to navigate through the heavy snow to find the exit.
Of course, Jiang Xiao wasn’t having an easy time either while cooperating with her. If one looked closely, the boy being carried by the Snow Woman was actually tiptoeing secretly to lighten her burden. This was exactly why an actor’s lower body was often kept out of the shot.
“Old Song has always been so small. It’s nice, but maybe I should take him to work out later. A little muscle would be better,” Xie Zhuran mused, stroking his chin.
“That makes sense,” Lin An agreed, deep in thought.
He was thinking that since Qiu Yu was so small, being with Jiang Xiao would likely result in him getting bullied. But they were men! And as men, they had to learn to fight back; they couldn’t just be submissive forever!
Sang Tian shook her head frantically.
‘No way!’
If he gained muscle and became big, would Classmate Song still be Classmate Song? Xia Qi felt the same way. It was better for Song Qiuyu to stay cute; what use did he have for muscles?
The fat boy and the science guy didn’t join the conversation, but they both looked pensive.
Everyone prayed that the shoot would end smoothly.
However, the snow gradually grew heavier, making the filming even more difficult.
Fortunately, heaven rewards the diligent.
Song Qiuyu successfully supported Jiang Xiao as they left the resort and arrived at the front of the hot spring hotel.
But a Snow Woman couldn’t take the usual path. Thus, Song Qiuyu had to help him take a detour toward the window of Jiang Xiao’s room. Then, she reached out with her small, weak hand and pushed the window open.
Finally, with everyone’s help, she successfully brought Jiang Xiao through the window and into the room. However, she lost her balance immediately afterward.
With another thud, she was once again pinned to the floor by Jiang Xiao.
Her head was covered in snowflakes, which drifted onto the floor along with the flakes clinging to her eyelashes.
At this sight, even the experienced members of the film crew nearly burst out laughing.
‘Damn, even if it’s a guy cross-dressing, a Snow Woman this dorky and cute… being pinned a few times is a total win, right?’
They were quite envious. Aider couldn’t help but nod. If he had refused, he never would have captured such excellent footage.
The scenes they had recorded along the way were truly outstanding. Their hard work and the risks they took today were worth it.
Now, only the final bit remained.
Song Qiuyu grit her teeth and took a deep breath, trying to muster her strength to get up from the floor, but her body simply wouldn’t obey.
She was frozen solid, and her small feet—having walked the entire way barefoot—had long since lost all sensation.
At least she had been moving. Jiang Xiao, who had been supported the whole way without moving, must be even more frozen than she was.
Thinking about how Jiang Xiao had supported her actions without hesitation, a sweet feeling welled up inside her.
However, she couldn’t help but feel guilty as well, biting her lip as she repeatedly tried to stand.
Aider’s sharp eyes noticed her condition and he promptly ended the shoot.
After all, the scene of the Snow Woman leaving could be handled later, or they could simply cut to Jiang Xiao waking up.
With that, the plot filmed amidst the heavy snow came to a perfect conclusion.
“Phew…”
Relaxing her body completely and letting Jiang Xiao pin her down, Song Qiuyu closed her eyes and let out a long breath.
After a brief moment of recovery, she spoke in a soft, weak voice, “Jiang Xiao, you’re so heavy. Hurry up and get off.”
“Yeah.”
Jiang Xiao responded, also exhaling in relief. Only then did he open his eyes and move his frozen, stiff body as best he could to get up. He reached out a hand to her.
“Hehe.”
Song Qiuyu gave a silly smile and placed her small hand, still dusted with a thin layer of snow, into Jiang Xiao’s large hand.
Their hands were equally cold, nearly the same temperature.
Jiang Xiao looked down at her reddened small hands and feet.
The heartache in his eyes was almost overflowing, though the corners of his mouth tugged into a smile.
The process had been exhausting, but the result was good.
The next moment, the door creaked open. Xie Zhuran and Lin An rushed in, immediately wrapping two prepared blankets around the two of them.
“What are you standing there smiling for? If you keep smiling, you’ll both get sick!” Xie Zhuran scolded.
“Little Yu, Little Xiao, hurry up with the hot water!”
‘Little Yu’ was, of course, a nickname for the fat boy, Yu Dan. The fat boy curled his lip.
‘This idiot really thinks he’s the Emperor, doesn’t he?’
However, seeing his good buddy, the science guy, actually cooperating perfectly by running over with two cups of hot water and even giving a serious “Yes, Master!”…
“…”
The fat boy stood frozen in place, unable to process it for a long time.
The heavy snow did not last long.
Once it stopped, the filming plan continued.
However, before filming resumed, Jiang Xiao had arranged for Song Qiuyu to go back to the room to soak her feet in hot water for a long time.
The price of feeling comfortable was that she was even less adjusted to returning to the snow.
But she could only grit her teeth and endure.
The sight moved everyone.
Even the two clients secretly decided to give Song Qiuyu extra drumsticks—two of them—at the wrap party.
Following that, they continued filming for another five days until all the footage for the promotional video, including the behind-the-scenes content, was finished.
What remained was the lengthy editing process. It would likely take one or two days before the finished product was ready.
But before the editing was completed, the two clients hosted a grand wrap party for everyone as promised.
Perhaps because they had spent several days filming together, everyone had become well-acquainted.
The young men and women were no longer as restrained as they had been at the start and chatted freely with the two clients.
The atmosphere at the dinner was very relaxed and joyful.
Song Qiuyu had originally intended to drink less, but in the end, not wanting to spoil the fun, she ended up half-drunk.
After the meal, she couldn’t refuse Jiang Xiao walking with her.
Supported by him, she was prepared to head straight back to her room when Xia Qi suddenly blocked their path.
“Jiang Xiao, we want to talk to Song Qiuyu. Can you lend him to us for a bit?” Xia Qi said to Jiang Xiao, looking at the tipsy Song Qiuyu.
Song Qiuyu narrowed her eyes and looked at the two other figures beside Xia Qi.
‘Sang Tian? Jiang Li? What are they doing?’
While she was still confused, Jiang Xiao shook his head and refused.
“He needs to go back and sleep! If it’s really something important, you can say it here,” Jiang Xiao said.
Jiang Xiao had also drunk a lot, but for now, he was only slightly buzzed and seemed quite sober.
“Brother, we won’t eat Brother Qiu Yu. If you’re really worried, why don’t you come along?” Jiang Li said with a faint smile.
Jiang Xiao looked at his younger sister, trying to read something from her face.
“Classmate Song, do you want to come with us?” Sang Tian was different.
She had long since realized who held the real power between the two and aimed her strike accurately.
“We just want to play a small game that everyone will enjoy and chat about some interesting things.”
Hearing this, Jiang Xiao looked at the person beside him, constantly hinting with his eyes for her to refuse them.
It was late and they had drunk too much; they should be sleeping, not playing games.
“Hmm?”
Song Qiuyu looked at Sang Tian drunkenly, blinking her eyes.
As she blinked, her vision was filled entirely with Jiang Xiaos.
Thus, looking at the three Jiang Xiaos inviting her to play, her eyes lit up and she excitedly raised a small hand.
“I want to, I want to! Let’s go play together! Can we go to the amusement park? I… I also want to ride the cars!”
The real Jiang Xiao: “?”
“Jiang Xiao, Classmate Song said he wants to go play with us,” Sang Tian said with a gentle smile.
Jiang Xiao stared at the person beside him, who looked like she couldn’t wait to push him away and run toward the three girls. His lips twitched. He closed his eyes, trying his best to stay calm, then opened them with a gentle smile and decided to go with them.
Soon after, the five of them arrived in Jiang Li’s room.
“It seems you’re really afraid we’ll eat Brother Qiu Yu, aren’t you, Brother?” Jiang Li closed the door and looked at her brother meaningfully, a teasing smile on her face.
Jiang Xiao said nothing.
He only looked at the little drunkard who had already rested her head on his left shoulder and was about to fall asleep, feeling somewhat helpless.
“Song Qiuyu, why do you look like you’re about to fall asleep?” Xia Qi shouted in a manly voice, instantly waking Song Qiuyu up.
“Ugh.” Song Qiuyu opened her eyes and rubbed them twice with her fists.
“If you’re really sleepy, just go to sleep,” Jiang Xiao said, pressing her head back down onto his shoulder as she tried to lift it.
“Classmate Song, have you ever played the Touching Box Game?” Sang Tian picked up an empty cardboard box from the table.
The box was roughly large enough for an adult woman to wrap her arms around completely.
“Huh?”
Song Qiuyu tilted her head.
Her drunken brain couldn’t quite grasp what Sang Tian meant.
Sang Tian noticed that Song Qiuyu didn’t understand, so she explained it in a way a drunk person could follow.
Midway through, Jiang Xiao understood.
Simply put, one person would put something into the box, and others would reach in to feel it.
If they guessed correctly, they could punish the person who put it in or ask them a question.
Conversely, if they were wrong, they would be punished or questioned.
It was somewhat similar to Truth or Dare or the King’s Game.
Looking at his sister, Jiang Xiao felt he understood her motive and couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of relief.
Though he didn’t know how his sister had convinced Xia Qi and Sang Tian to play along.
“Song Qiuyu, do you understand now? Do I need to explain it again?” Jiang Xiao turned his head to look at the frowning person beside him.
“Are you looking down on me?” Song Qiuyu pouted.
“Not at all. I wish you a swift victory!” Jiang Xiao smiled.
“If you can’t win, you can call on me. I can help you get revenge anytime.”
“No need!” Song Qiuyu was full of confidence.
As expected, Song Qiuyu guessed wrong in the first round.
She stared at the palm-sized pumpkin in her hand and frowned. “This isn’t right. This is clearly an orange. Are you all ganging up on me?”
“Classmate Song, no cheating. You have to accept your loss!” Sang Tian shook her head.
“Fine. What do you want me to do? Say it quickly so we can play another round!” Song Qiuyu said, sitting obediently on the bench.
“Let me think.”
Jiang Li, who had placed the item in the first round, contemplated. she picked up her phone, the corners of her eyes curving slightly as she looked at Song Qiuyu with deep meaning.
“How about…”
