[Clara, wake up.]
Clara was choked awake by her own little tentacle pinching her nose, then abruptly sat up from the pile of rabbits, eyes wide.
“…Huh! How is it going?”
[The battle has begun.]
“Did the Moon Rabbits attack?”
Opening her eyes, it was still a pitch-black night. It seemed she hadn’t slept long; the antibodies had finished faster than expected.
[Yes. The scout Moon Rabbits report that there aren’t many Moon Rabbits near Labi.]
It was inconvenient to approach Labi while she was holding her position, as reinforcements could arrive at any moment. But once the frontline engages—
“Did Fran deliver the things I asked for?”
[Right in front of you.]
Beside Clara’s calf was a small box.
Delivered by drone from the resort, it was Clara’s secret weapon.
Clara opened the box to check its contents, then stuffed it into her pocket and woke the still-sleeping Jeanne and the other rabbits.
Clara stood up, stretching her limbs. “Let’s go, bunnies.”
“Let’s give that gluttonous lady a little food-related shock!!”
The free Moon Rabbits, detached from the hive mind, began charging down the slope, using the terrain to their advantage.
This group’s mission was to intercept Redscarlet, Verdant Echo, and the remaining rabbit soldiers.
Considering the disparity in numbers, Clara also used her authority to order the Moon Rabbits still within the hive mind to cease action, creating a favorable two-on-one condition for her and Jeanne.
Of course, even then, there was no chance of victory.
“What’s going on?”
Labi had never anticipated a group of Moon Rabbits breaking free from the hive mind, acting uncontrollably.
But she quickly understood.
This was a clever move by the hive mind… a rebellion against her.
“Hmph, you really know how to trip me up. When did this start?”
Just as she thought this, Clara, now wearing the squid gauntlets and under the cover of Invisibility, charged at Labi in a low stance and punched her, sending her flying dozens of meters through the air.
“Ugh, what’s with this Magic Girl?”
She didn’t have such brute force before. Is it the effect of those weapons?
Before she could sort out her thoughts, a white shadow closed in from behind. The rabbit girl with red glowing eyes flashed to the path of Labi’s flight and kicked her squarely in the lower back.
“Hah?!”
It wasn’t until Labi saw Jeanne, who looked exactly like her, that she truly showed surprise.
“What are you…”
Legend says seeing another version of yourself means death, but Labi didn’t believe in such things.
…Is this a lifeline the hive mind prepared for me?
Labi opened her mouth wide, aiming to bite the incoming rabbit leg. A furry meat mallet with a large mouth at its tip emerged from the top of her head. If bitten, the leg would likely snap on the spot.
“Let me eat you and prepare to be reborn!”
Jeanne pressed her hands against the ground, her powerful long leg sweeping around in a spinning kick aimed at Labi.
“Squeak!”
“Hmph, you’re a child who shouldn’t exist…”
Understanding this, Jeanne twisted her leg at the last moment to avoid Labi’s bite and used the momentum to stand up, trying to put distance between herself and Labi.
“A clumsy imitation could never beat me!”
However, the moment Jeanne retreated, Labi grabbed her by the collar and bit down towards Jeanne’s head.
Labi’s physical abilities far surpassed Jeanne’s, almost to a crushing degree.
“Hey, hey, Miss Labi, did you forget about me?”
Clara’s voice came from behind Labi.
With the resolve to create an opening for Clara even if her head got bitten off, Jeanne suddenly spread her arms wide, locking Labi’s body in a tight hold.
“Squeak!”
“Good job, kid!”
Clara’s tone was excited. Ten little tentacles emerged from her flowing long hair, each tip holding a syringe, rapidly closing in on Labi.
“So what?”
However, the two large mouths on Labi’s back were her most aggressive feature. Merely restraining her own body was meaningless.
Without even turning her head, Clara was forced to halt her advance by the threatening presence of those two mouths.
“Whoa! That’s dangerous!”
“Squeak?”
Jeanne’s squeak, having risked her life to create an opening, carried disappointment and confusion. The next moment, Labi used her as a weapon and threw her at Clara.
Clara opened her arms, becoming a cushion.
“Kid, you chickened out.”
Mocked by Labi, filmed by a Moon Rabbit carrying a camera, and ultimately seen by the live stream audience, Miss Squid once again lost popularity.
It was bad, but Clara herself didn’t care.
She was badly shaken up. With Jeanne’s help, she stood up and even taunted:
“Taunting me won’t work. Everyone knows how dangerous those mouths of yours are! But conversely, you’re only dangerous because of those mouths!”
“Hmph, you’re only brave enough to talk tough from a distance!”
When she was hit earlier, Clara felt like all the air was forced out of her lungs. Fortunately, both her and Jeanne’s bodies were soft enough that their ribs didn’t break.
This showed that Labi’s strength truly surpassed Psycho’s.
She’s so tough. As expected, it’s impossible to ‘break through’ this woman head-on…
Clara swayed lightly, vanishing from sight as she charged at Labi.
[It’s no use. Invisibility doesn’t work on her.]
Nyx reminded her, and Clara was forced to retreat repeatedly by those two large mouths.
When she pretended to be Psycho to get close earlier, she was attacked while invisible; just now, the other party could counterattack even with her back turned…
Meaning, she doesn’t rely on sight to lock onto enemies.
“Hmph, thinking that increasing the number of syringes gives you a chance to steal my abilities?”
“You only have two ‘mouths’ anyway.”
As if finally remembering she was a Magic Girl, Clara dismissed the gauntlets, summoned the Inkstained Staff, and casually fired a probing ink beam at Labi.
As a result, that energy beam was also eaten.
“You can even eat this? Is there anything you won’t eat?”
Labi licked her lips, mocking:
“Not bad flavor. Want to mix it with pasta? Just spit out a little ink—”
Can her own ink be eaten?
For a moment, Clara was led astray, actually seriously considering the possibility.
“Ooooh!”
A roar came from beside them. Redscarlet, even as a Moon Rabbit, was still a muscle-loving lady. Originally compatible with muscles, she was now dragging several rabbit soldiers, forcing her way back.
“Jeanne.”
“Squeak.”
Jeanne stepped forward to intercept. Now it truly became a one-on-one duel between Clara and Labi.
“There’s no chance of winning head-on.”
[Clara, the situation at the resort is not good.]
Nyx reminded.
[The setup is complete. She won’t suspect anything if we act now.]
“Hmm… It’s about time.”
Clara stepped forward, charging at Labi, dodging the lunges of the two mouths with all her might by staying at the very edge. She put away the Inkstained Staff and extended the ten little tentacles again.
“Huh?”
Clara’s extreme evasive posture momentarily caught Labi off guard.
Before those large mouths could turn back, Clara had already crashed headlong into Labi’s embrace, even using her bouncy chest as an airbag.
“Got you!”
Clara imitated Jeanne’s earlier move, hugging Labi tightly.
“Hehe~ Big sis doesn’t dislike proactive children.”
Labi said this, but her body remained unmoving.
After all, Clara had no weapon in her hands. No matter how you looked at it, she couldn’t hurt her.
The only issue was the ten little tentacles, each with a syringe, winding around different parts of her body, ready to steal her abilities.
But that wasn’t a problem either.
“Oh?”
Labi opened ten mouths at the corresponding locations.
And swallowed Clara’s ten little tentacles and syringes whole.
“Ugh.”
Clara grunted in pain.
Even though it was just the tentacle tips, even though they could regenerate, it still hurt. She pushed Labi away, clutching her tentacles and rolling on the ground in pain.
“Hehe~ The little tentacles taste pretty good.”
Labi was about to continue mocking when she suddenly smelled an unbearable stench.
Her face changed dramatically, twisting into a snarl.
“Ugh… You… you actually put in those syringes—”
The corner of Clara’s mouth curled up into a wicked grin.
“Ha! Miss Labi, eating everything will only harm you!”
