Yin Lin’s magic shield was shattered by a single blow, yet it failed to inflict any subsequent damage. She managed to deploy a new magic shield just before hitting the ground.
Using cheap tricks against Yin Lin was a completely different experience compared to facing her head-on. If one used a whip as a rope, catching Yin Lin was easy. But if one intended to use a whip as a weapon for a frontal assault, the difficulty of taking her down was not to be underestimated. That previous “masterstroke” of a whip strike hadn’t even caused excessive damage; it had merely happened to break her magic shield.
A mana cannon blast shot upward from the staff of the fallen Yin Lin, aiming at the defenseless Greenfield, but Greenfield dodged it with ease.
Yin Lin scrambled up from the ground. Aside from her hair being a bit disheveled, her clothes being a mess, and suffering a slight wardrobe malfunction, her body was largely unharmed.
Seeing this, Greenfield felt a pang of regret. “Oh, I still made a mistake. I let wishful thinking get the better of me. I actually thought a single ordinary whip strike could finish you.”
She could feel Yin Lin charging up; it was that mana cannon everyone was so familiar with. She wanted to do her best to eliminate Yin Lin, and Yin Lin wanted to do the same to her.
The moment Yin Lin began charging, the battle entered a countdown. If Yin Lin wasn’t dealt with within the allotted time, the battle would end with her victory.

Greenfield knew very well that the silver-haired girl wouldn’t stop at a mere 20% charge this time.
Immediately returning to the mana-drain circle, Greenfield also began drawing out mana. Cracking sounds emanated from her body; something was breaking.
Yin Lin knew about her little tricks. With her powerful sensory abilities, she had detected multiple mana sources even before arriving at Next Day Square. Besides the three magical girls—Jin Luan, Huan Hong, and Greenfield—there were two additional mana sources beside Greenfield.
As time passed, the mana from those two sources was gradually depleting. It didn’t seem like a spell, but rather a method of energy storage.
Yin Lin’s guess was correct this time.
Greenfield had two specialties. Besides her mastery of the magic rod, her application of mana was also exceptional. Not only could she absorb others’ mana for her own use, but she could also inject mana into certain mediums for emergency use. These mediums could be almost anything—stone, metal, or wood. However, the maximum mana capacity varied by material, and most could only store a uselessly small amount. Furthermore, regardless of the medium used, the mana inside would leak out at varying speeds.
This time, she had gone all out, using two gemstones she had meticulously collected long ago. She had injected mana into them yesterday, filling the two gemstones to the brim. However, the mana inside would vanish quickly, lasting only a little over a day.
Other magical girls weren’t like Yin Lin, who had more mana than she knew what to do with. To save even a tiny bit of mana, everyone usually acted quite stingy. Energy Storage Magic existed for the sake of that meager mana.
Greenfield had already sucked the gemstones dry, pouring everything into this one whip strike.
Yin Lin’s new-school mana cannon could be fully charged, and so could Greenfield’s whip.
Jin Luan and Huan Hong were also on the verge of being drained dry. The light of the whip had intensified to a blinding degree, and a super-long light-whip grew from it, visible to the naked eye.
Finally, Greenfield took the remaining 90% of her own mana and injected it into the spell. The mana-drain circle was deactivated, and the dense thicket of vines vanished.
A weakened Jin Luan and Huan Hong collapsed to the ground, struggling for a long time before they could stand and panting heavily as they retreated. Their mana was barely enough to maintain their magical girl transformations; they had to find a place to hide immediately.
Jin Luan looked back at the two figures in the sky radiating terrifying amounts of mana. Since things had come to this, she could only place her faith in Yin Lin.
The personnel at the Countermeasure Center were also hearing countless alarms. The mana sensors installed at Next Day Square were ringing incessantly, showing readings that had reached a horrifying level. When the monitor reported this, it earned him a scolding from his ill-tempered superior.
There was no need to look at the sensor data now. One could see with the naked eye just how staggering the mana being emitted by the Leather-suit Aberration and Yin Lin was. The light was as blinding as a pair of super-powered searchlights.

The Special Task Force finally couldn’t take it anymore. Even if it meant defying orders from above, they had to intervene and talk them down. They flew a drone over, equipped with a loudspeaker, and shouted at them.
“Stop fighting! Do you want to destroy Next Day City?”
“Let’s talk this out. You like women, right? We can find plenty of women in the city to be your friends and companions!”
“And you, Yin Lin! You love destruction, don’t you? We, the Special Task Force, will clear a path for you. Go outside the city and blow things up to your heart’s content! You can blast whatever you want!”
“As long as you stop, our Special Task Force can grant any wish within our power!”
Seeing that they still had no intention of stopping, the Special Task Force changed their persuasion tactic.
“Yin Lin, your charging speed is too slow! That Aberration will definitely finish charging first! Are you sure you can take it? Run! If you can’t tank it, you’ll die! Do you know what death means? It means never playing on your phone again and never eating delicious food again!”
“And you, green Aberration! Stop it! Are you really sure you can break Yin Lin’s turtle shell? If you can’t break it with this one hit, you definitely won’t get a second chance. We all know the consequences of Yin Lin firing her cannon!”
Seeing that it was still useless, the Special Task Force tried one last move.
“Moms, I beg you, please stop fighting!”
They were almost in tears.
Greenfield, of course, didn’t listen. This was the Three-in-One Super Warrior’s final, all-out strike. It was a spell that condensed the mana of three magical girls and two Energy Storage Gemstones, capable of only a single swing without the possibility of a second circular attack.
At this point, Yin Lin had reached a 38% charge—a very terrifying level—but she did not strike first.
Greenfield finally swung the whip. The physical whip was only five meters long, but a glowing whip nearly two hundred meters in length lashed out. Like a blade of light, it carved a deep trench into the ground and sliced nearby buildings in two.
Nearby drones were destroyed by the light-whip. Even helicopters in the sky nearly lost control due to the turbulence, forced to pull back a thousand meters away.
The green light-whip struck out with unstoppable force. Yin Lin tried to dodge, but she still couldn’t evade the ultra-long and ultra-wide lash. Greenfield could even adjust the angle of the attack.
The light-whip hit Yin Lin. Her magic shield shattered instantly, and her body was finally struck by the whip. Physical damage, magic damage, and additional damage all surged into her body at once, triggering a series of explosions.
The Legendary King of Taking Hits, Yin Lin, coughed up a large mouthful of blood and was sent flying. She was smashed from Next Day Square into a shopping mall a thousand meters away, crashing through the glass and tumbling into the building.
That one whip strike had broken through three of Yin Lin’s magic shields. Even the fourth shield she deployed was covered in cracks.
Lying on the ground, she looked pathetic. Her hair was like a bird’s nest, and her face was stained with blood. She looked miserable.
Yet, she began to laugh.
Greenfield had said she wouldn’t kill magical girls, but it seemed she had broken her vow this time. To use such a powerful whip strike against a fellow magical girl like Yin Lin was ruthless.
However, Yin Lin was still going to win. If one were to ask why, it was because Yin Lin’s charging had not been interrupted; it had already reached 50%.
