Magical girls were a miraculous existence, so much so that they could accomplish almost anything with the power of magic.
The instruments manufactured by humans were nothing more than clumsy imitations, completely unable to reach the level of a genuine magical girl.
Therefore, Monice’s statement was entirely accurate; those instruments really could not compare to her and her Fiery Eyes.
“The environment in this place is truly wretched…” Monice muttered as she stepped out of the Starlight Magic Circle.
She glanced at the surrounding area and decisively reached a conclusion.
She felt her Magic Power consumption accelerate slightly.
This indicated that the survival conditions in this place were extremely harsh, requiring a magical girl to consume a small amount of Magic Power just to sustain herself.
After observing the environment, Monice’s gaze fell upon the massive, grotesque objects near the teleportation array.
She did not know these were Luo Shuangyue’s handiwork and assumed the black energy simply looked like this in this region.
“Are these lumps of flesh those Path Creatures? They look absolutely hideous. Doesn’t White Night get nauseous dealing with these things all day?”
“I created those lumps. The monsters Mom fights look a little better than that,” Luo Shuangyue said with a light cough. She admitted her creations were a bit ugly, but…
Actually, there was no ‘but.’ These things were ugly and disgusting; there was no way to argue otherwise.
Hearing Luo Shuangyue’s explanation, Monice’s expression immediately shifted to one of pure shock. “Well, you certainly are… talented.”
It took a certain kind of talent to create something so repulsive.
Most people probably could not come up with such things even if they wrung their brains for ideas.
Luo Shuangyue immediately clarified that this was not purely her masterpiece.
The black energy had attached itself to her stage, so in a way, the energy had done this to itself.
She had merely provided the platform.
“So, have you decided how to handle them?”
“Hmm… transport them back and purify them?” Luo Shuangyue proposed the only currently viable plan.
Leaving these things here was no different from leaving a time bomb.
Their only option was to try transporting them back to the Mother Star and let the magical girls purify them.
Furthermore, with such a massive quantity, distributing them among the magical girls would likely provide a significant boost to their collective combat strength, right?
“That sounds decent enough, but have you considered how powerful these things would be if they turned into real Demons?” Monice countered.
In terms of quality, these lumps were certainly not as powerful as a Royal-Class Magic Beast, but the sheer quantity was a problem.
If they were compressed by some irresistible force while passing through the Spatial Channel, they might just merge into a single Royal-Class Magic Beast.
Their mass was definitely sufficient to give birth to one.
“It’s not a big problem. I can easily handle the Black Calamity they attract. You all just need to focus on purifying them,” Luo Shuangyue replied. She had already thought of a countermeasure when she proposed the plan.
As long as the monster that appeared was not of a scale similar to her own, she could use her method of undermining their foundation to prevent them from becoming true Demons.
Without Demonic Energy as a weapon, the monsters would have no choice but to obediently accept the magical girls’ purification.
“But before that, let’s go find my mother. I want to ask her if she felt that mass of black energy being reborn.”
For Luo Shuangyue’s plan to be effective, there was one crucial prerequisite: the Demons purified by the magical girls must not be able to be reborn in this world.
If they could respawn, then their efforts would be meaningless.
After walking through the thick black mist for a while, Luo Shuangyue finally saw the mother and daughter busy in front of a giant monster.
White Night was using magic to slice off parts of the monster’s body, while Luo Shuangxing was tirelessly sealing those severed parts with her Sealing Magic.
The atmosphere between them was subtle. Although they cooperated flawlessly, neither of them spoke a word to the other. Luo Shuangyue looked at her sister, knowing that Luo Shuangxing felt conflicted. She likely did not know how to face her ‘resurrected’ mother. As for Mom, she was probably waiting for Shuangxing to speak first before replying.
As a result of this waiting, the silence had become endless.
It wasn’t until Luo Shuangyue arrived with Monice that White Night finally seemed to find a literal lifeline. she waved at the two of them. “It’s been a long time, Little Monice~”
Monice’s expression froze. How long had it been since she last heard that nickname? It seemed that ever since White Night, that scoundrel, had snatched her Die away, no one had dared to call her that. Just thinking about it made Monice angry. Between the two of them, the way they used her as a tool — neither was a good person!
If the situation weren’t so urgent, she would have had a serious talk with these two about the past.
“Oh, Little Mo-mo, don’t keep such a stiff face. Didn’t you use to love smiling?” White Night, seemingly oblivious to the tension, walked naturally over to Monice’s side. She reached out and pulled the corners of Monice’s mouth upward.
This total lack of boundaries caused Monice to crossly swat White Night’s hand away. “How old are you now? Why do you still act so improper?”
‘Playing around like this in the past was one thing, but you’re a mother of two now. Doing this is a bit childish, isn’t it?’
“Age has no meaning for a magical girl,” White Night chuckled. “You didn’t come here just to catch up with me, did you?”
“Of course not. I found something on the surface and wanted to come here to verify it.” Monice rolled her eyes. So, she did realize the seriousness of the situation.
After recounting her discovery to White Night, Monice stated that she wanted to try purifying the black energy here as well.
After listening, White Night thoughtfully handed a clump of black energy — which was originally meant for Luo Shuangxing to seal — to Monice, signaling for her to try.
Taking the black energy, Monice released her Magic Power, slowly washing over the energy in her hand.
She attempted to erase the consciousness within it, just as she had done on the surface.
However, after trying for a while, Monice was shocked to find that the consciousness within the clump had not been erased.
The consciousness had indeed been damaged by her Magic Power, but since it was already chaotic to begin with, the damage made little difference.
The most important part — the Obsession — was like a reef in the ocean, remaining unmoved no matter how the waves crashed against it.
“It’s no use. I can’t purify the consciousness here.”
“In our world, these consciousnesses can be purified, but not here.” White Night pointed toward the ground.
“Therefore, the problem lies with this place.”
With this conclusion, things became simpler.
As long as they moved the black energy here to the Human World to be purified, they could achieve a foundational depletion of the enemy’s forces.
While it wouldn’t solve the problem entirely, it would significantly delay the time before White Night could no longer withstand the pressure.
It should work, right?
“If we use all our power to purify these things, we can probably purify this much in one hour…” Monice began performing rapid calculations in her head.
“By the way, my absorption speed also has a limit. If we bring back too much black energy at once, I might not be able to completely absorb all the gathered Demonic Energy,” Luo Shuangyue reminded them from the side.
There were several conditions limiting this plan.
The first was the magical girls’ purification efficiency, and the second was Luo Shuangyue’s Demonic Energy absorption speed.
Without Luo Shuangyue to absorb the Demonic Energy and prevent the black energy from becoming real Demons, this plan was nothing more than a castle in the sky.
After all, without Luo Shuangyue, this method would be the equivalent of constantly throwing time bombs into the Human World — and they were the kind of bombs that required immense effort for humans to handle.
One wrong move and they would be inviting the wolf into the house.
“Oh, I’ll take that into account. By the way, let me ask — does your absorption actually have an upper limit?”
“I… I’m not sure,” Luo Shuangyue shook her head.
It was true; Luo Shuangyue didn’t know if she had a limit.
She hadn’t felt one when she was absorbing Demonic Energy before.
Perhaps a limit didn’t even exist? Could she actually absorb Demonic Energy indefinitely to strengthen herself?
“If that’s the case, couldn’t I just rely on absorbing the Demonic Energy they draw to get stronger quickly, then come back and help you knock all these guys down, Mom?” Luo Shuangyue clenched her fist, feeling that she had come up with a brilliant idea.
Actually, the human side no longer had just one White Night.
Luo Shuangyue felt that if she absorbed enough Demonic Energy, she might be able to reach her mother’s heels.
At that point, their combat power would be equivalent to two White Nights. Guarding this single spatial rift shouldn’t be a difficult task then.
“It’s theoretically possible, but Yue, did you forget your attraction to this black energy?” White Night shook her head hesitantly.
When she fought this energy, she could ensure she wasn’t influenced by it.
Luo Shuangyue could not do the same.
The black energy would actively throw itself at Luo Shuangyue, who shared the same source but was far more powerful, merging with her to fulfill its Obsession.
White Night didn’t doubt her daughter’s willpower, but she knew the terrifying nature of these Obsessions.
If Luo Shuangyue were truly affected by them, things would become disastrous.
One mustn’t forget that there was still Evil Intent inside Luo Shuangyue’s head.
These two things were like matter and antimatter; once they met, they might just blow Luo Shuangyue’s head to pieces.
“But is there any better way right now? Or… I could set up some decoys to collect the lower-level black energy so they don’t wander off?”
Just like when she dealt with the remnants before, if she trapped the black energy, the monsters wouldn’t be reborn.
However, a problem still remained: the number of monsters in this Containment Space was far greater than Luo Shuangyue imagined.
“There are too many of them. The monsters that were frantically attacking before were only a portion. There are many more Path Creatures surrounding the perimeter. They don’t dare to attack while I am strong, but when my power begins to wane, they will become the last straw that breaks me.”
Pointing toward the dark, dense army of monsters in the distance, White Night explained helplessly.
Those monsters were indeed not a match for her in a single exchange, but that was only true for her current self.
When she was no longer this powerful, those monsters would become a terrifying torrent.
This was true for her, and naturally, it was true for Luo Shuangyue as well.
If all those Path Creatures pounced on Luo Shuangyue, even if they didn’t completely rewrite her consciousness, they would plunge her into a state of total confusion.
At that point, who could guarantee that Luo Shuangyue wouldn’t become the biggest problem?
“So, is there really no way to solve this at all?” Luo Shuangyue sighed.
White Night nodded heavily, pointing at the ground beneath them. “At least on this land, it is an unsolvable problem.”
On this land, the monsters’ consciousnesses could not be purified.
This meant they possessed infinite lives. What couldn’t a group of madmen who did not fear death accomplish?
To solve these Path Creatures once and for all, they had to be placed in the Human World and purified there.
But this brought them back to the original question: what if they couldn’t be defeated once they were sent over?
By undermining them bit by bit, the number and strength of the Demons could be controlled.
However, there were so many Path Creatures here that they would surely rush into the spatial rift like a tsunami to descend upon the Human World.
A descent of that quantity and intensity was not something that could be dealt with lightly.
One mistake and the Human World would be completely finished.
“Then can we set a trap at the exit? We purify them as they come out, one by one?”
While Monice was currently picking out the black energy she wanted to take back, Luo Shuangyue had the time to discuss these wild ideas with her mother.
She should be able to handle the Demonic Energy accumulation caused by the Demons, so the magical girls would just need to purify all the incoming black energy.
That shouldn’t be too hard, right?
“The risk is far too great. That can only be a last resort when there are no other options,” White Night continued to shake her head.
“Do you have the confidence to absorb all that accumulated Demonic Energy completely?”
One had to understand that the Demonic Energy pouring out of the rift at that time would not be comparable to one or two Royal-Class Magic Beasts.
That amount of energy would likely wrap around the Mother Star three layers deep.
The Demons wouldn’t even need to act; the leaking Demonic Energy would be enough to destroy every living being in the world.
Could Luo Shuangyue absorb that much Demonic Energy? White Night felt it was highly unlikely.
After thinking about the situation she might face, Luo Shuangyue also felt her idea was a bit too idealistic.
If that much Demonic Energy were poured into her body, she would probably be blown apart instantly.
If she didn’t explode, then after absorbing all that Demonic Energy, she would likely become a truly invincible existence…
“Mom, do you think if I become super, super strong, I could use my fist to separate our worlds?” Luo Shuangyue’s eyes brightened.
With that kind of vast power, she should be able to do many things she previously couldn’t, right?
