The torrential rain had stopped, but the trouble it brought wasn’t so easy to clean up.
The rabbit hole, meeting rain after a long drought, became exceptionally muddy. However, the Moon Rabbits couldn’t worry about that. Once things stabilized, they returned to work. Hardly a single clean Moon Rabbit could be seen in the hole.
“She’s coming, criminal rabbit.”
Blue Cavalier looked at Clara (Moon Rabbit).
“While I didn’t come just to watch the end of a criminal rabbit like you, an execution in her presence might clear my suspicion… Let me gratefully send you on your way.”
“Jiju?”
Clara knew that Labi, the Moon Rabbit Mother, was on her way here.
But this “suspicion”…
She was left here as a watchdog; was that because the Moon Rabbit Mother didn’t trust him?
But none of that mattered anymore.
The true mastermind had emerged. Clara no longer focused on Blue Cavalier, treating him as just a mid-stage Boss who could be skipped.
Just then, an affected voice rang out.
“Is this mud too hard to walk on? Should I teach these rabbits to lay cement?”
A grumbling Labi and Anya appeared in the rabbit hole. Wearing high heels on the muddy ground, the heels sank halfway with every step, punching holes in the ground as she walked. Her complaining was understandable.
“Yo, what kind of activities are you doing here? Oh, did Fran’s little plan actually work?”
“Mother, this rabbit is the culprit behind the rebellion of some Moon Rabbits. I wanted to execute her in front of the others. Hearing you were coming, I wanted to keep this as a special performance…”
‘Wait, was executing Clara his personal idea?’
“Huh? I have no interest in executing Moon Rabbits.”
Labi stood with hands on hips, pointing at the three bubbles of Souls Anya held.
Then she commanded, “Clear the stone platform and prepare three more vessels. You’re about to have three new sisters.”
The vessels she mentioned were likely those large rabbits.
‘Labi actually didn’t recognize me? Was I just an ordinary Moon Rabbit in her eyes? Was my capture purely his personal doing?’
Just as Clara thought this, Labi suddenly looked up at her again, then circled the large iron pillar twice.
“Oh, it’s this rabbit? Hmph, what a coincidence.”
‘So she didn’t recognize me at first. It seems the Moon Rabbit Mother can’t tell the difference between Moon Rabbits very well.’
“Fine, then let it be an opening act. How do you plan to execute it? Burning? Won’t the smell be too appetizing?”
As Labi spoke, Blue Cavalier replied hurriedly, “Mother, I guarantee the other Moon Rabbits will never dare to defy your will again…”
The reincarnated Blue Cavalier really admired Labi. ‘Come to think of it, he seems to have no memory of his past? At least, I haven’t heard him mention it yet.’
Three large rabbits rolled down from the tunnel behind the stone platform.
Since there was a basement with water drainage above, the tunnel was relatively dry, though the opening looked a bit like a vending machine’s dispensing slot.
The three large rabbits were lifted onto the flat stone platform by the Moon Rabbits; it was a bit crowded.
Anya handed the Souls of Sista and the others to the feeding Moon Rabbits, then, just as Clara had seen before, they were poured into the mouths of the large rabbits.
Next was the wait.
The familiar transformation began.
Just like when Blue Cavalier turned into a “bunny girl,” these large rabbits began to change into humanoid forms. Their limbs stretched, lengthened, and their fatty bodies became slender. Even their dirty fur began to fall away, revealing skin.
‘Yeah, “female rabbits” again. Is this Labi’s twisted taste?’
‘But just like him at first, the heads remained rabbit-shaped, and their mental states were sluggish, showing no reaction to the environment… Clearly, some secondary processing is still needed?’
The transformation was complete, and it was finally time for the execution.
Blue Cavalier ordered the rabbit soldiers to lower Clara and the other eight rabbits.
Then they were driven into the circle formed by the iron pillars. Under the manipulation of superior authority, none of the Moon Rabbit rebels could move, including Clara.
“The lead rabbit seems like it doesn’t want the others to die with it. In that case, I plan to grant its wish.”
As Blue Cavalier said this, Labi asked with interest, “Oh? What are you planning?”
“Then let them be the executioners. Bite and eat that lead rabbit.”
‘Let the Moon Rabbit rebels eat me? How cruel.’
Although the lives of Moon Rabbit Combat Bodies were worthless, for the rebels who had finally developed a self and emotions, this was undoubtedly a mental torment.
“Jiju! Jiju!”
Clara cried out in protest, but Blue Cavalier didn’t care.
“Criminal rabbit, I will use your death to punish these accomplices.”
She clapped her hands, and the Moon Rabbit rebels all turned toward Clara, opening their mouths to reveal sharp, un-rabbit-like fangs, waiting for the command.
Clara couldn’t move. ‘At this rate, I’ll really become a nutrient-free meal replacement.’
Clara’s main body was still lurking in the air-raid shelter above; she didn’t dare approach rashly.
Blue Cavalier might discover her, and Sista and the others hadn’t finished their reincarnation—they still had rabbit heads. Now was not the time to act.
“Nyx, what should I do?”
**[The one who must decide is you.]**
**[However, now is not the time to act. The best time to counterattack is when the opponent thinks they have victory in their grasp and lets their guard down.]**
Although she understood, Clara couldn’t help wanting to rush in.
On the surface, the one being executed was Clara (Moon Rabbit), but the harm was —
**[Endure.]**
**[Which is more important: the spirits of the Moon Rabbit rebels or the lives of Sista and the others?]**
‘I know.’
Clara ultimately didn’t act.
**[The mission of the Moon Rabbit Combat Body is complete. Let it end here. I will sever the connection between you so you won’t feel the pain of being eaten alive. But after that…]**
**[It’s up to you.]**
“Begin the execution.”
Blue Cavalier ordered.
Things took an unexpected turn.
The Moon Rabbit rebels, ordered to eat Clara (Moon Rabbit), began to bite each other frantically. Blue Cavalier tried to stop them with commands but failed.
Blood splattered onto Clara, but she couldn’t understand the situation.
‘What are these guys doing?’
**[They would rather choose suicide than follow the order to eat you.]**
‘They resisted the command of the Hive Mind? Even though they were just Moon Rabbits.’
“Splendid. You’ve truly shown me a good show.”
Labi even began to clap.
**[Calm down. Your emotional fluctuations are too high.]**
Clara couldn’t accept it.
Including that bystander rabbit, the Moon Rabbit rebels were all dead.
Clara (Moon Rabbit) was the only one still alive.
‘If even they could break free from the Hive Mind’s control… then could I not do the same?’
Well this is going no where good.
