“You… Mushroom-Headed Man, now you finally sense something is wrong.
Why is the criminal restriction seal on this Demon-Hunting Nun’s body gone? Is that something you can just remove on a whim?
“[Strength Enhancement], [Weapon Enhancement].” Samimi whispered quickly.
In the next instant, the Runic Staff slammed directly into Mushroom-Headed Man’s stomach, hitting him so hard that he was knocked back to the entrance, vomiting up everything he’d eaten last night.
As the Knight Order Captain, he had always been confident in his body, convinced that facing a delicate priestess, he could easily suppress her. Yet now, he was the one being flattened.
“You… Mushroom-Headed Man, still want to say something?”
But Samimi stomped down hard on his chest, pinning him to the ground, and coldly said, “Where exactly did your confidence to duel me, the Church’s number one Pig Demon Nun, come from? Wouldn’t it have been easier just to take the bribe? Did you really have to make me unhappy?”
“Do you know who I am? I’m an Inquisition Knight under the Hongyi Grand Archbishop! You really think you can get away with this after what you’ve done?” Mushroom-Headed Man stubbornly persisted.
“If the Hongyi Grand Archbishop were here right now, he’d still have to squat in front of me to talk.” Samimi sneered. “Do you know why?”
“Wh… why?” Mushroom-Headed Man asked suspiciously.
In his mind, he cycled through dozens of ways to deal with Samimi. At the core of each one was to report to his superiors, to make sure he could escape from her grasp.
But at that moment, a sudden gust of strange wind came from his own room. A deep crimson magic circle appeared, engraved onto the floor, summoning a bizarre twin goddess statue.
“Yo! Za! Zle!”
The twin goddess statue had barely emerged—just its sharp tip was out—yet already a massive surge of mana spilled from the magic circle, instantly binding Mushroom-Headed Man, sealing even his mouth to prevent him from screaming.
Samimi strolled lightly into the room, looking around. Mushroom-Headed Man was no longer proud or arrogant, his gaze filled with fear, but it was already far too late to realize how much trouble he’d invited.
“Not bad equipment you have at home,” Samimi mused.
Though this Mushroom-Headed Man looked ordinary and did things by the book, his home was full of professional knight gear, various kinds of Church armor, and dozens of knight swords. Clearly, he was a collector.
But to show him real terror, Samimi raised her Runic Staff. Mana brambles surged forward, cast with Holy Flame Enchantment, then struck directly at the knight’s armor.
Mana Bramble could even corrode steel armor, eating away at the once-polished metal as easily as strong acid, punching holes through it.
“Woo—!” Mushroom-Headed Man writhed in agony, but the enchantment sealed his mouth, leaving him unable to make a sound.
Samimi’s actions were like smashing a shut-in’s precious Gundam models right in front of him—truly ruthless.
But she had to give him a proper lesson—let him see what happens when the old nun gets serious.
And this was only the beginning. Samimi picked up his treasured knight sword and activated a high-intensity Holy Flame Enchantment, twisting and deforming the sword until it was completely destroyed.
Watching this, Mushroom-Headed Man’s tears flowed with unwillingness. The prized sword he’d spent a year’s salary on had been ruined before he could even use it.
What terrified him even more was that this Demon-Expelling Nun could destroy the best sword from the Royal City’s weapon shop with such ease. What kind of power was this?
“Strange… with your authority, you could find out that the Countess is my mother, but not that I am a once-in-a-millennium dual-magic operator of the Church?” Samimi sat on his sofa, tossing the charred and twisted sword back and forth.
“If you promise not to scream, I’ll consider sparing you,” she said again.
Mushroom-Headed Man nodded repeatedly. The mana bramble bindings loosened, letting him speak, but he found himself speechless.
“In the whole Holy See, aside from Saintess Makima, no one can suppress my magic. Even the Holy Maiden would have to use at least ten percent of her power to deal with me. I really don’t know where your boss got the nerve to take me on. I doubt it was the Cardinal Archbishop’s idea. If your superior finds out you acted on your own, he might beat you to death on the spot.” Samimi calmly analyzed.
“This…” Mushroom-Headed Man looked at the brambles spreading all over his room, unable to imagine such power could come from a single person, utterly speechless.
“I know all of Saintess Makima’s techniques, and I don’t think anyone in the Church can subdue her. If she wanted to escape, no one could stop her. At worst, they’re just soft-locking her to save face for your boss and waiting for the chaos to pass. But with you, she ended up being publicly shamed and hanged? If the Hongyi Grand Archbishop truly employs subordinates like you, I’d advise him to exile your whole family! You’re forcing the Saintess into rebellion.” Samimi continued to ridicule him.
“I…” Mushroom-Headed Man began to sweat profusely.
“And did you know I have a younger sister, the direct disciple of Saintess Makima? She’s the chief physician of the Three Princes Faction. If you really want to deal with the Saintess, why not go capture my sister instead? By the way, she’s also a dual-magic operator and the next Saintess in line.
She might become the Three Princes’ queen, maybe even the future queen of the kingdom. Your boss didn’t dare lay a finger on the Saintess or the Countess, but you have the guts to touch my sister? Do you even know who you’re provoking? Do you realize what kind of enemies you’re making for your boss?” Samimi pressed further.
“How…” Mushroom-Headed Man was drenched in sweat as if caught in a downpour, shivering in terror.
The Demon-Expelling Nun’s words were even more frightening than her magic.
“Alright, punishment time.” Samimi stood up slowly, raised the burnt sword, and smashed it down onto the statue.
“Control!” Before Mushroom-Headed Man could cry out in pain, the bramble magic sealed him again, only his terrified eyes showing.
After that, Samimi gave him a severe beating, pounding him for a full ten minutes, breaking dozens of his bones without mercy.
“[Healing Magic].” After beating him, she simply healed his wounds, then resumed beating him. She was relentless.
She continued for half the night, tormenting him in an endless cycle of pain and healing. This was the real experience of hell—no Scarlet Court could compare.
When Samimi finally released Mushroom-Headed Man, his whole body was uninjured, but he collapsed on the ground, staring at the floor, his expression blank, his spirit broken.
“Answer me. What is your purpose? Was the Holy See murdered by your Hongyi Grand Archbishop? What exactly are you scheming?” Samimi crossed her legs and smiled as she interrogated him.
“I don’t know anything, I’m just a Knight Captain, I really don’t know anything…” Mushroom-Headed Man bowed his head, trembling with fear.
