Chapter 18: Elevator Pervert  

“I know how to do it, no need to trouble you, sister-in-law.”  

Jiang Lai gripped the breast pads tightly, fleeing to the bedroom like a refugee, locking the door to keep Chi Yingyu out.  

Chi Yingyu’s bedroom was elegant, everything neatly arranged except for the clothes.  

Jiang Lai quickly spotted the outfit her sister-in-law had left on the bed.  

She shook her head, trying to clear out the jumbled thoughts.  

Thankfully, Chi Yingyu had chosen a simple, professional outfit.  

Jiang Lai had no resistance to such gender-neutral clothing.  

She quickly changed into the prepared clothes in the bedroom.  

But though the outfit looked normal in her hands—long sleeves, long pants, no revealing parts—why did it feel so strange to her?  

There was no full-length mirror in the bedroom, so Jiang Lai couldn’t see her whole figure.  

But when she glanced down, even with the buttons done up, she could see a pronounced cleavage.  

A perfectly professional outfit somehow looked provocative on her.  

Her old clothes already felt tight at the chest, and Chi Yingyu’s slimmer figure made the buttons nearly impossible to fasten.  

Her fingertips were red from the effort.  

But there was a solution—winter allowed thick layers to cover everything.  

Jiang Lai couldn’t imagine surviving summer like this, with her figure swaying noticeably with every step.  

With a coat now, it was hidden, but she wondered if there was a job that didn’t require going out in summer.  

When Jiang Lai emerged, Chi Yingyu was at the table, gently stirring a bowl of hot porridge.  

Seeing her, she stopped, staring intently.  

“Looks like we can swap clothes from now on”  

This way, Chi Yingyu could openly hold Jiang Lai’s clothes.  

She really wanted to buy her brother-in-law lots of pretty outfits—it was quite a sight.  

Since long ago, Chi Yingyu had resented men’s clothing for their limited styles.  

If Jiang Lai were younger, trendy clothes might work, but not now.  

Years ago, when buying clothes for Jiang Lai, she mostly chose shirts and tailored suits.  

Though she found him handsome in anything, she longed to see him in more varied looks.  

“Where are you going later, brother-in-law?  

My work ends at noon, so I can pick you up.”  

“To the company.  

If all goes well, I’ll sort everything out before noon, and we can grab lunch nearby.”  

Jiang Lai checked the time.  

Chi Yingyu’s apartment was nearly an hour’s drive from her company.  

It was getting late—if she delayed the afternoon, her plan would fall apart.  

“I’m heading out now.  

Finish your porridge and soak the bowl in the sink.  

I’ll wash it when I’m back tonight.”  

Jiang Lai hurried to the entrance, slipping on her shoes and reaching for the door.  

Chi Yingyu softly called her back.  

“Wait, it’s windy outside today.  

Take this scarf.”  

Chi Yingyu grabbed a scarf from the coat rack and gently wrapped it around Jiang Lai.  

Jiang Lai could smell the scarf’s fragrance, identical to Chi Yingyu’s scent.  

It felt like being enveloped in her sister-in-law’s embrace.  

As Chi Yingyu tied the scarf, her eyes sparkled.  

When done, she hugged Jiang Lai tightly, whispering in her ear, “Be careful on the way”  

Those words warmed Jiang Lai, making even the winter cold feel cozy.  

Jiang Lai’s company wasn’t nationally famous but was well-known locally.  

It belonged to a major conglomerate, with resources far beyond ordinary firms.  

The current president was the chairman’s daughter, wielding significant authority, able to reassign veteran staff easily.  

These were lunchtime gossip tidbits Jiang Lai had overheard.  

Whether true or not, she still didn’t know much about the female president.  

If she’d known more before, she’d be better prepared now.  

With a prior appointment, Jiang Lai, despite being unrecognizable as an employee, entered the company easily.  

She just needed to wait in the reception room for the president.  

There was still time before the meeting, but with the crowded elevator, she wasn’t sure when she’d reach the meeting room floor.  

Standing in the corner from the first floor, Jiang Lai noticed something odd as people came and went.  

Why was the proportion of female employees so high?  

The few men she saw left quickly after a glance.  

She’d only been on leave for a week—how had the company changed so much?  

While pondering the strange staff changes, Jiang Lai noticed a female employee with a pained expression.  

Her face was slightly flushed, but her clear discomfort and resistance caught Jiang Lai’s attention.  

Glancing over, Jiang Lai saw a hand caressing the woman’s curves.  

It was clearly a woman’s hand—fair as fine jade, with distinct joints and neatly trimmed, almost overly short nails, looking polished and clean.  

Though beautiful, the hand’s actions were vile and despicable.  

If the gender were swapped, this would undeniably be harassment.  

Jiang Lai despised such behavior.  

She instinctively adopted a parental perspective—if her daughter were touched like this at work, even by a woman, it would be unacceptable.  

Stepping forward, Jiang Lai firmly grabbed the offending hand, pulling the perpetrator from the crowd.  

But why did this elevator pervert look so familiar?  

At first glance, she seemed like… the female president.
