“Such a tough woman! That’s not fair!”
Xu Bei miscalculated her combat strength and had no choice but to retreat in a panic, looking utterly miserable.
“Roar!”
The Female Supervisor, burning with rage, let out a furious bellow. Gripping her Electric Baton-Lightsaber with both hands, she brought it down in a heavy slash.
This time, even the slippery Xu Bei couldn’t dodge.
“Bang!” A loud sound.
The Electric Baton slammed down hard on his shoulder blade.
The shocking pain instantly coursed through his entire bodyโฆ
Alright, that last sentence was a bit of an exaggeration.
Because in the Virtual Game, the pain sensation was greatly reduced, leaving only a faint trace through the Pain Sensation System, just enough to remind you you’d been hit.
The real issue was that Xu Bei’s Health dropped by a huge chunk in an instant. The damage was massive.
But this was just the beginningโฆ
Because after taking the first hit, Xu Bei’s whole body froze, locked in place for half a second by the Negative Status [Shocking].
“Bang! Bang!” Two more thunderous electric blasts.
The Female Supervisor swung her sword left and right, slashing in quick succession. Both strikes landed squarely on Xu Bei’s chest, instantly depleting his Health and leaving the Player completely stunned.
After killing the Player, the Female Supervisor’s Electric Baton-Lightsaber dimmed.
She withdrew from her berserk stance, instantly becoming calm and composed, as if to say, “Yet another newbie has fallen under my merciless triple slash today.”
Xu Bei lost control of his body, and two lines appeared before his eyes:
[No matter how powerful you are in Reality, it’s all fake. In our game, you’re just a noob.]
[Player may go back to defeat small monsters and level up before challenging again.]
The words “fake” and “noob” were especially enlarged, as if afraid the Player might miss them.
“Ahhhhh! I’m so mad!”
Xu Bei, fuming, logged out and ended his stream. He yanked off the Virtual Game Helmet and howled back in Reality.
He sprang up from his bedding, fists clenched, his face flushed red with anger.
But the more Xu Bei thought about it, the less he could accept it. In an instant, he flopped back down, quickly put on the Virtual Game Helmet, and logged in again.
The Unfilial Son Livestream Room was disconnected for just a few dozen seconds before going live once more.
(The streamer is back)
(LMAO)
(This is hilarious)
(This is hilarious)
(No-damage, still hilarious)
(Empty-handed, hilarious)
(Not even a weapon, hilarious)
(Stop pretending to be tough)
(Noob)
(Bro, what are you doing)
(Seems like it)
(Clown streamer)
(Clown)
(Streamer, stop pretending and just go get a weapon already)
(This is killing me)
As expected, the Unfilial Son Livestream Room’s chat exploded. The comments were overwhelmingly mocking and ridiculing.
We black fans have been waiting for this moment for ages, finally able to unleash on the streamer. Noobs shouldn’t even bother playing.
Just yesterday, this rookie streamer was being hyped up on every major game forum, but sure enough, he crashed and burned on the second day, turning into a clown. What a joke.
But whatever, it’s all entertainment for the viewers.
We just want to have fun; everyone’s here for the laughs.
It’s the greatest joy to kick the clown when he’s down from the moral high ground! Hehe!
So, the number of viewers in the Unfilial Son Livestream Room didn’t drop just because he got killedโinstead, even more trolls and haters flooded in to keep flaming him.
“Damn it! What kind of stupid game is this? I don’t believe it!”
Xu Bei respawned in the Safety House, cursing up a storm.
Clearly, he was still furious even after entering the game, standing there in a daze for a long while, replaying the previous battle in his mind.
But we can’t analyze Xu Bei’s state of mind from the perspective of a normal Player; we have to consider Reality.
In Reality, I’m a demon who can run rampant even in Meteor Street, a place crawling with villains.
Those thugs and gangsters who bulk up in the gym are nothing in front of meโone punch to cripple them, two punches to finish them off.
It’s just that my personality is more low-key, and I don’t like getting my hands dirty, so I chose to be a bartender.
But in truth, I’m a martial arts demon!
And now, I’ve actually been beatenโkilled, evenโby a virtual monster in a game?
That’s pure humiliation!
Unacceptable!
Xu Bei, filled with rage, left the Safety House and returned to the staircase at the end of the first floor.
Now that he had experience, the Female Supervisor’s opening surprise attack and leaping slash could no longer touch himโhe dodged it with ease.
“โฆCome on!”
But Xu Bei knew that the real fight was just beginning.
A mere virtual monster was actually forcing a demon like him to get serious?
If word got out, his peers would die laughing!
But he had no choice but to get serious.
The BOSS could kill him in three slashes, while he had to land a hundred punches to take it down.
Even a Capitalist would cry out: That’s not fair!
“Clang! Clang! Clang! Clang!”
The familiar flashes of thunderous bladeโwell, actually batonโlight once again streaked toward Xu Bei!
Xu Bei kept swaying and weaving as always, dodging every bolt of lightning.
But his clenched fists remained stiff, his fury had nowhere to go, and he couldn’t find any opening. There was no room to maneuverโthe corridor was just too narrow.
The Female Supervisor’s long Electric Baton blocked the way, her stamina seemed endless, and her wild slashing attacks left no room for reason. He couldn’t break through her sword circle at all.
If this kept up, he’d end up just like beforeโmaybe even worseโcornered and slashed to death.
So what’s the point in retreating?
Just go all out! At worst, I’ll just die!
If I die, I can respawn. I can keep fighting, all the way to the end of time.
Now, it’s clear this thing’s joints are hard as steel. Normal joint locks are useless.
So all I can do is blast apart the BOSS’s bikini! No backing down!
“Hu hu hu! Hu hu hu!”
Xu Bei suddenly stopped short, his hands moving in a blur, leaving afterimagesโa classic feint to start things off.
But the Female Supervisor couldn’t recognize a Player’s feint. She gripped her sword, her uniform top bouncing as she swung her Electric Baton in a wide, horizontal slash, aiming to smash the Player’s skull.
Actually, these wide-area kill moves are full of openings against experts like Xu Bei. Those small, fast consecutive slashes are much harder to counter; there’s no chance to retaliate.
Xu Bei’s feint worked. He suddenly ducked, dodging the sweeping Electric Baton, then slid forward on one knee, closing the distance.
“Ha!”
He drew back his fist and, aiming at that precariously dangling triangle of fabric, unleashed an uppercutโlanding a direct hit on the weak point.
Wow! That was a downright sneaky Monkey Steals the Peach!
That punch actually knocked off five percent of the Female Supervisor’s Health!
Normally, an unarmed attack could only do about one percent.
This punch obviously triggered a Weak Point Attack.
There’s no need to explain what a weak point isโit’s way too common in games.
Hitting specific parts of a monster deals extra damage. The most common example is the Critical Hit in shooting games.
But the streamer went for another vital spotโthis was a Groin Shot!
(Wow)
(Huh?)
(Huh)
(Huh)
(What kind of move is that?)
(Monkey Steals the Peach)
(Hacks?)
(Huh)
(Streamer’s showing off!)
(Kinda flashy)
(Flashy)
(Risky)
(Huh)
(Don’t worry, the streamer is about to die anyway)
The chat exploded with a chorus of “huhs,” all shocked by the streamer’s move.
