A shadow suddenly darted out.
Betiliana was so startled she nearly jumped out of her skin.
Once she saw clearly who it was, Betiliana called out in surprise and suspicion, “You’re… Knight Fina Nisi?”
Then she suddenly understood. So it was that gloomy Knight girl again? And what a coincidence—though wasn’t this just a little too much of a coincidence?
Fina Nisi smiled gracefully and said, “I’m glad you still remember my name.”
Betiliana couldn’t help but frown. “Please mind your words and actions. You make it seem as if we’re quite close.”
Betiliana didn’t have a good impression of her at all; the image of this gloomy Knight was nothing short of a clown.
And it was obvious she wasn’t a decent girl. Just think of the pure and noble Saint of Temperance, then look at the flirtatious Fina Nisi—there was no comparison!
Fina Nisi laughed. “Miss Betiliana, perhaps we could get to know each other again?”
Betiliana shook her head quickly in response. “Let’s not, and please don’t contact me anymore. I’m afraid Saint of Temperance Aililan will get the wrong idea!”
Betiliana hurried away, clearly afraid someone would see them and then let Saint of Temperance Aililan misunderstand her.
Fina Nisi’s composure cracked a little.
She punched the trunk of the tree beside her.

“Aililan, it’s always Aililan!”
Fina Nisi looked toward the distant carriages of Aililan’s party, her eyes flickering with a vicious light, a savage possessiveness welling up.
Wild ideas churned in her mind, refusing to quiet.
Push Aililan down.
Devour Aililan.
Or perhaps even, torment Aililan?
A cold gleam suddenly flashed in Fina Nisi’s eyes. She called into the shadows, “Pella, in a moment I’ll go after Aililan. Hold on to the Scroll I gave you. If you receive the order, stir up a little trouble in the city, understand?”
A woman emerged from the darkness. Pella was clutching her abdomen, looking to be in some pain, her steps unsteady. Though she was hesitant, she still obeyed Fina Nisi’s command without question.
Before leaving,
She muttered quietly.
“Grandmaster, I feel… after all, Aililan is a Saintess. If you go for a night raid—”
“You’re trying to teach me how to do things?”
“I…”
“Pella! Do you think I’ve been too gentle with you?” Fina Nisi’s eyes gleamed with teasing. She drew her Longsword, and with a swift motion, chopped down a tree branch as thick as an arm, kicking it to Pella’s feet. “Take it. If this happens again, I’ll show you just how much I love you with it, understand?”
Pella glanced at the thick branch and shivered uncontrollably. It wasn’t that she couldn’t do it—she just imagined it would be extremely painful.
But if it was a request from Fina Nisi, she would try her best to comply.
She’d never considered rebelling.
Because to her, this was love.
She already belonged to Grandmaster Fina Nisi in every way. No matter what pain awaited, wasn’t it simply another form of love shown by Fina Nisi?
Fina Nisi melted into the shadows, tailing Aililan’s convoy.
Inside the City Lord’s Mansion.
Aililan was soaking in a tub.
The fragrance of soap mingled with the steamy mist, sending a faint aroma wafting through the air. Delicate petals clung to her fair shoulders, faint hints of pink emerging from beneath the surface.
As a chaste Saintess,
She was like a fertile, untouched land awaiting discovery.
Who wouldn’t want to dig a few shovelfuls?
A faint trace of worry lingered on the exquisite, beautiful face of the maiden.
Some of it was about the affairs of Atester City.
Some of it about that cocky, yellow-haired “Phoenix Overlord.”
She picked up her Mirror to look at her own long golden hair, muttering, “I’m supposed to be the purest, most innocent Saintess, but I’ve got this yellow hair… Yet that ‘Phoenix Overlord’ has blue hair.”
(~O~)……( – . – )!
The girl yawned.
Throwing on a towel, she stepped out of the bathroom, crushed a Fire Magic Scroll in her hand, and the moisture on her body and her damp hair dried almost instantly.
“(¦3[▓▓] Goodnight!”
So much to do tomorrow!
She had to oversee the rebuilding of the Investigation Bureau, arrange the integration of the Slums’ gangs, and maybe go see that adorable Blind Girl who, in the original storyline, was supposed to be hers.
Unknowingly, Aililan drifted into a lovely dream.
While the guards weren’t paying attention, her door was being quietly opened.
Fina Nisi, with her formidable strength, easily avoided all the Chivalric Guards.
She glanced at the girl on the bed.
“Aililan!”
Fina Nisi licked her blood-red lips, striding toward the sleeping Aililan while unbuttoning her collar. A few steps forward, and she casually tossed an article of clothing onto the floor.
A few more steps.
Her clothes fell away, leaving her body exposed, seductive and proud, standing at the bedside.
‘Huff~’
Fina Nisi breathed heavily.
“What a wonderful girl! You’re absolutely the most beautiful I’ve ever seen.”
“And now, if I want, I can have you.”
The Saintess was at her fingertips. Fina Nisi lay down beside Aililan, gently embracing that sacred body she so adored.
The girl’s scent.
Made Fina Nisi hug her even tighter.
She pressed her face into Aililan’s fair neck, taking in deep breaths.
What’s the greatest treasure of a chaste Saintess? Without a doubt, her chastity.
Fina Nisi had long since tired of rules and rituals—she was about to seize the girl’s most precious possession.
Yet Aililan didn’t seem to notice?
It wasn’t that she slept too soundly.
Rather, the moment Fina Nisi entered the room, Aililan had already cast a Dream Hypnosis spell. It was said this was a Succubus invention, letting people dream of the most blush-inducing scenes.
To put it bluntly, it was a despicable Spring Dream Hypnosis spell.
“Well then.”
“My lovely Saintess Aililan, hurry and tell me—who are you dreaming of right now? Is it me?”
Fina Nisi was extremely confident in her own looks. Throughout the entire Chanting Church, she was among the very best, wasn’t she? She was sure, with her charm, that Aililan would dream of her during a spring dream—nothing more natural.
Aililan was indeed lost in a spring dream, but the one in her dreams wasn’t some yellow-haired “Phoenix Overlord.”
Instead… “Li, Lizberu-nee?” The one Aililan dreamed of was none other than the Saint of Temperance, Lizberu?
Aililan’s tastes were ordinary.
But if she truly had to choose,
She would say her preference was for someone like the Saint of Temperance—“good pants”—not someone like Fina Nisi—“rotten pants.”
Outside—
“Lizberu!!!”
Fina Nisi nearly screamed.
How could the person the Saintess saw in her spring dream be Lizberu, not herself?
She felt as if she’d discovered some shocking secret—the Chanting Church’s purest Saintess was actually dreaming about another Saintess.
Fina Nisi gritted her teeth!
“I don’t care anymore.”
“I’m going to have you right now!”
Suddenly, ‘clang, clang, clang, clang—’ urgent gongs rang out in the city. From the direction of the Slums, roaring flames leapt skyward.
Aililan’s mass purge of the Military Police had seriously worsened public safety. Some shady figures took advantage of the lack of guards to commit crimes under cover of night.
Fina Nisi threw back the covers, cursing, “Damn it! Pella, you wretched woman!” She thought the commotion was Pella’s doing.
Footsteps sounded outside the door.
More guards were rushing over.
“Damn it all!”
“So close, just one step away.”
Fina Nisi had no choice but to hurriedly pull her pants back on and slink away from Aililan’s room in disgrace.
The next moment.
‘Bang~’
Renata pushed open the door.
“Saintess.”
“There are some small-time thieves disturbing the peace. We’re here to protect you. Huh… The Saintess is sleeping so soundly?”
Renata figured Aililan must have been exhausted lately and quickly ordered everyone out of the room. It was just some petty thieves causing trouble—no need to wake the Saintess.
And her Saintess, was still lost in a most marvelous dream.
