The others weren’t fools either. Fran’s words, laden with deeper meaning, were highly suggestive. With just a bit of thought, anyone could grasp her intention… except for the Crimson Star General.
“Huh? So Number Two didn’t defect after all?”
Azure Echo scratched his head and began explaining to his big brother alone.
Ogata Dharma mustered a bit of spirit and said, “I understand your intent, but we need solid intelligence to convince the other side, don’t we?”
“I’ll take care of the intelligence,” Clara declared grandly. With a Moon Rabbit combat unit infiltrating the rabbit crowd, she was bound to get some information—useful or not.
“But, how are we supposed to let the mole learn about this news without tipping them off?”
It wasn’t just about letting the Fourth Calamity know—they also had to believe that “Azure Cavalier broke free of brainwashing and is now a spy.”
From outside the hangar came the sound of a vehicle, and Clara fell silent just in time.
“Ahem, everyone, may I interrupt for a moment?”
A woman with long, ashen-gray hair peeked in at the hangar door.
“Miss Rabi? Why don’t you come in and speak?”
At Clara’s invitation, Rabi wore her usual professional smile, walked in gracefully, and pushed a trolley along with her.
On the cart sat a rectangular object covered by a white cloth.
Was that… some kind of box?
Lucia, who was on friendly terms with Rabi, asked, “Is there something you need, Miss Rabi?”
“It’s like this—some Moon Rabbits surrendered and came to us last night…”
Rabi lifted the cloth, revealing a large rectangular cage underneath.
Inside the cage were seven Moon Rabbits, barely clinging to life, all looking unhealthy with wounds of various sizes. Though still alive, they had clearly been abused by security.
Clara frowned.
Those guys not only have issues with their work attitude, but their mental health’s not great either, huh!?
“Huh? Moon Rabbits surrender too?”
“They look like they confessed under duress.”
Ogata Dharma and the others had just learned about this, so of course they were surprised.
Clara and Fran, who already knew, played along and put on shocked expressions to avoid arousing suspicion.
“There was one more originally, but it got away,” Rabi said.
Got away? More like got dragged back!
“The security department wanted to execute all these rabbits, but I thought I should leave the decision to you,” Rabi continued.
Maybe to avoid taking the blame herself, Miss Rabi didn’t mention a word about why that one Moon Rabbit “escaped”—not realizing that Anya had already spilled the beans before heading to bed.
“Did Miss Rabi even prepare food for the Moon Rabbits?” Lucia asked.
Next to the cage was a bundle of fresh fruits and carrots.
“Yes, I was worried they’d starve after a night with nothing to eat.”
“You’re pretty kind, Miss Rabi.”
Lucia picked up a carrot, intending to feed the bound Moon Rabbits through the bars, but before she could, Clara yanked her back by the collar.
“Don’t get too close to them, it’s dangerous!!”
Though these rabbits had surrendered, without Clara (a Moon Rabbit) leading them, their behavior was unpredictable—no one knew what they were thinking at this point.
If they suddenly bit, forget the fresh carrots—even Lucia’s hand could be gnawed off, and besides…
“They look like they were beaten up by security all night. They’re bound to be grumpy now.”
Because of her previous contact with the Moon Rabbit combat unit, and what happened last night, Lucia had let her guard down. She broke the carrot into pieces and stuffed it through the bars.
The Moon Rabbits still ate the carrot pieces that came close to their mouths.
Lucia complained, “Security is too much! Shouldn’t surrendered Moon Rabbits be treated better? Besides, they’re all tied up like this, what danger could they pose?”
“Miss Anya said this morning that the Moon Rabbit taken to the infirmary by Miss Rabi escaped too, right? Wasn’t that one also tied up with tape like a dumpling? If it could run, these could too.”
As Clara said this, Rabi looked a little embarrassed.
“Ahem, sorry, that was my mistake at work.”
Compared to the other staff at the resort, Rabi was pretty diligent at her job.

Rabi didn’t seem shaken, just confused, and asked, “You said Azure Cavalier? I heard… he sacrificed himself last night, didn’t he?”
“Uh, well… actually…”
Clara stammered, giving the others time to react.
In moments like this, Fran was always the fastest on the uptake.
“To tell you the truth, this morning we got a secret communication, with a set of coordinates sent to us. The Sigma Heroes also reported that Azure Cavalier hadn’t returned to Divine Abyss Rebirth, so we suspect… he’s infiltrated the Moon Rabbits.”
“He turned into a Moon Rabbit? That can happen?”
Rabi stared in shock, her expression unreadable.
Fran’s explanation muddied their side’s knowledge, turning Azure Cavalier’s role as a spy into mere conjecture.
“Before you arrived, Clara and Pure White Tempest had already scouted those coordinates and were attacked by a group of muscle rabbits… That place is probably their lair.”
Clara picked up where Fran left off:
“We were going to wipe out the Moon Rabbits today, but after receiving Azure Cavalier’s intel, we have to postpone for now.”
She also gave herself a reasonable excuse for not stealing the virus.
Seeing Rabi still confused, Fran reminded her, “Of course, please don’t tell anyone about this. If the Fourth Calamity hears, Azure Cavalier could be in trouble. After all, we suspect someone from the Fourth Calamity is hiding among the resort staff.”
“If Clara hadn’t let it slip, you wouldn’t have told me either, would you?”
Rabi smiled wryly, then promised, “Don’t worry, I won’t say a word.”
If the Moon Rabbits took any action against Azure Cavalier, or if anyone else learned about this, then…
Then Rabi would be a prime suspect as the mole.
“In that case, I’ll leave you to your meeting—I don’t want to hear any more secrets~”
Saying that, Rabi exited the hangar, then poked her head back in to point at the cage on the trolley.
“Oh, those rabbits—please take care of them.”
