For PE class selection, Zhu Niao’s entire dorm room, plus Gou Yu, all chose the same class together.
One reason was that none of them really cared about what PE class they took, as long as they could pass.
Another reason was that when it was time to select classes, the system was flooded with too many students at once, making it impossible to grab a spot. So they all asked Ye Qingchang to help select for them.
Ye Qingchang didn’t even look; she just blindly clicked on the course taught by the teacher with the legendary reputation for being the easiest to pass, not even knowing what the class was about.
“What’s the final exam for basketball class?” Zhu Niao didn’t bother with Gou Yu, who was half-dead leaning against a lamppost nearby.
“It’s a free-throw test, but this teacher has never failed anyone. We can just show up and muddle through.”
“Third, I trust you with this.” Liu Xie patted Ye Qingchang’s shoulder. “Oh, right, I saw your digital pet looking for you earlier. What was he doing?”

Even now, Liu Xie kept lecturing Ye Qingchang; she was genuinely worried Ye Qingchang would end up in trouble again from being too soft-hearted.
“I know, I’m clear on things like this, I’m not the type to forget pain after eating sweets.” Ye Qingchang replied, “I’m not going to be overly nasty either, but unless I see real change in him, he’s not getting a good face from me.”
“If he doesn’t really change and leaves because he can’t handle my continued indifference, then that’s just fine by me.”
“If he really has changed, then I’ll know when to stop.”
Ye Qingchang understood perfectly well, more than Liu Xie.
All of Liu Xie’s worries came from the fact that Ye Qingchang had once called herself a love guru with this same confidence, only to be kicked to the curb and left uncared for.

Gou Yu groaned, “I need a kiss and a hug before I can get up.”
He said this kind of shameless thing just to provoke Zhu Niao.
But to his surprise, Zhu Niao didn’t scold him.
Instead, a hug scented with lavender enveloped him, making Gou Yu’s half-dead face freeze for a moment, and then he opened his squinting eyes.
Zhu Niao hugged his waist—though it was just a brief embrace.
“Actually, yesterday I meant to tell you to sleep earlier. You didn’t have to recover that save so urgently, I don’t usually play that much, I was just upset at the time, then I fell asleep by accident…”

Gou Yu, mortified and furious, chased after her.
