“It’s nothing.”
Irina deliberately turned her back, as if not wanting Luo Jialan to see her face to be precise, she didn’t want her eyes, which were far dimmer than Su Mu’s, to be exposed.
“Wait, you shouldn’t have such strong Magic Power.”
As she gradually regained her senses, Lando immediately sensed something was off, but she hadn’t yet doubted the person in front of her, since apart from that, there weren’t many differences.
She could feel that this was Su Mu.
“We’ll talk about that later, someone’s coming.”
Irina turned around and looked at the window frame.
It seemed that sunlight wasn’t the only thing coming in—there were also two uninvited guests.
‘Why are you showing up here? Don’t you know your daughter is being made into a mess right now?’
While she pondered, Luo Linglan floated over, landing lightly on the windowsill, gently tapping the glass with her knuckle.
The small window couldn’t contain her tall figure, but the Ning Xi who arrived just after made things clearer—Irina could plainly see the layer of gloom on her face.
‘She looked extremely displeased. What was going on?’
A flash of lightning shot through Irina’s mind—she sensed that the two shared threads almost identical to her own.
She quickly realized: someone was manipulating their consciousness.
‘Two seasoned B-Class Mutants, under complete control—is that possible?’
‘Did Tang Nai not stop that absurdly strong person?’
Maybe she was behind it all along…
“Please open the window. I don’t want to ruin Jialan’s Dream World.”
Luo Linglan glanced at Lando, who was kneeling behind Irina.
Her slender brows trembled slightly, and strong resistance appeared again on her face, but Tang Mo’s authority still dominated her consciousness, forcing her to continue this unwilling act.
“Can you not come in?”
“I don’t want to, either.”
Irina considered for a moment, then pushed open the window, but had no intention of moving aside—instead, she continued to walk out.
Seeing this, Luo Linglan frowned, but still stepped back, leaving enough space for Irina.
Now three people stood on the windowsill, making the already cramped space feel even more claustrophobic.
And with this close proximity, the gap between Irina and Luo Linglan became unmistakably obvious—whether in height or build, Irina was at a disadvantage.
Luckily, there was an even more aggrieved Ning Xi beside them.
After being pranked by Tang Nai’s milk, she’d actually grown quite a bit, but as time passed, the effects wore off, and she shrank back down to her usual tiny, adorable form, like a deflated balloon.
Irina had to tilt her head up to look at Luo Linglan.
At this angle, she couldn’t help but wonder how Luo Jialan ended up so petite.
“Why not fight outside?” Luo Linglan nodded slightly; at least that would minimize damage to Luo Jialan’s Dream World.
However, if Irina lost, the result might be the same.
Under Tang Mo’s control, Luo Jialan’s Dream World would be tainted again.
With Luo Linglan and Ning Xi watching her, a thin sheen of cold sweat broke out on Irina’s back.
Either one of these two alone would be trouble for her; going against both was practically a death sentence.
“Wait a second, what are you mumbling about? You plan to leave me behind already?”
Lando, who had just recovered from her weakness, was now fully geared up, though this time she wasn’t in her familiar white military uniform, but the pale blue long dress Luo Jialan had worn earlier.
The Military Knife at her side was as bright as ever, but Irina had no intention of dragging her into this.
“Go back. Be good.”
Irina was about to push Lando away, but to her surprise, her own Magic Power couldn’t suppress the other, leaving her momentarily stunned.
“Don’t treat me like an idiot.” Lando pushed Irina’s hand aside.
Now the shackles were completely broken, the Dream World fully illuminated.
But more dazzling than the sunlight were the five sparkling Memory Points shining behind Lando.
Magic Power rating—B-Class Mutant.
Irina suddenly remembered: Lando had always been right on the edge of B-rank, only held back by her shackles, unable to break through.
Though she had just been seriously corroded by Dark Magic Power, now, within the Dream World, only Pure Magic and ordinary Magic Power remained—almost as if she hadn’t been harmed at all.
“No, you still haven’t grasped the concept. You can’t compete with them.”
“So, because of that, you’re going to leave me behind?”
Lando’s words carried a strange sense of grievance, leaving Irina momentarily at a loss.
“I don’t want Su Mu to take risks alone for my sake, so let me do it. Just like before, I’ll do better with you around—at least, I won’t be weaker than you think.”
Irina subconsciously scanned Lando’s status; at a glance, her heart leapt in shock.
‘Magic Power rating… 75%?’
Luo Linglan only had 70%.
That meant Lando had already surpassed Luo Linglan in physical strength.
That’s basically cheating.
‘Did the Pure Magic from Tang Nai really work this well?’
Irina had used up all of Tang Nai’s Pure Magic without holding back, leaving nothing behind, but she never imagined the results would be this overwhelming.
‘Oh, right—the Shining Form worked the same way.’
By filling the body with Pure Magic, power would soar explosively.
Now, Lando was already in Shining Form, with an extraordinary strength beyond normal understanding.
“And I still have things I want to say to them, so don’t even think about leaving me behind to go act all tough by yourself.”
Lando could tell Irina was forcing herself—not because she could sense the difference in strength, but because she understood Su Mu.
Just watching her reaction was enough.
Irina’s calves were trembling ever so slightly, something even she hadn’t noticed herself.
But Lando picked up on it immediately—of course, that was partly because her gaze lingered on Irina’s slender, pale calves for a moment longer than necessary.
But honestly, who could help but notice?
“Alright.”
At that moment, Irina felt a strange sense of relief, even a faint urge to keep pretending to be Su Mu.
Being cared for so attentively made her heart flutter.
“Let’s go to the old place.”
Luo Linglan exchanged a look with Ning Xi, who immediately understood and dove down below.
Cutting through thick overlapping mist, the dim landscape gradually appeared—a vast expanse of Ruins.
The area was long deserted; near the center building, hideous cracks and scorched marks sprawled everywhere, as if the place had just suffered a devastating lightning storm.
It was exactly where Ning Xi had stopped Luo Linglan before.
Irina could track Ning Xi’s position.
Luo Linglan spread her hands toward her, making a gesture to let her go first.
Irina took a deep breath, as if steeling herself, and then, almost unconsciously, squeezed Lando’s hand.
The feeling was almost no different from when she’d held Su Mu’s hand—but now, touching it for real, it still felt a little different.
Her heart was beating so fast.
