【No one dislikes round, shiny gold coins. You purchased a luxurious villa in the city center for only 80 gold coins.】
【Additionally, you spent a large sum to buy a set of equipment and the most powerful weapons you could find.】
【Demon Longsword (Blue): A favorite sharp weapon among Goblin Warriors; ordinary iron armor offers no defense against it.】
【Goblin Steel Helmet (Blue), Goblin Steel Chestplate (Blue)…】
【After buying the equipment, you only had a little over 10 gold coins left.】
【Looking at your fully armed reflection in the mirror, you felt the money was well spent.】
【Furthermore, you wandered the medicinal herb market for a few days, but didn’t find the herbs you needed.】
【“The herbs you mentioned are only needed by humans!”】
【The shop owners said in unison, which left you completely at a loss. It seems the differences between humans and goblins are significant.】
【Somewhat unwilling to give up, Zagu’s attendant finally found you.】
【“This is our legion’s Blood Oath Covenant. After pressing your fingerprint, you will become a member of Zagu’s clan. After that, you need to return to your original family and have the clan leader press his fingerprint as well.”】
【You had no good feelings toward that Skull-Nail Family, and you remembered that day when several clan members pushed you out. A surge of resentment rose in your heart.】
【“This is a Battle Technique scroll for Slash. Please accept it. Also…”】
【Zagu’s attendant ordered the servant behind him to pull off the black cloth. A simple, small prison cart appeared.】
【Inside, a girl was kneeling.】
【Her face was covered in tears, her entire body stained with filth, and her clothes were ragged.】
【Even so, you could still see how stunning her face was.】
【Her flaxen hair hung messily over her round little face. Her lake-blue eyes were also round, with the corners slightly upturned—a pair of beautiful almond eyes.】
【It seemed she had resigned herself. She pinched the hem of her dress tightly with her small hands. It was a dress that looked light and airy, but because of all the stains, it seemed like a rag.】
【Zagu really did send the Saintess.】
【After leading her into the room you had prepared, you found yourself at a loss.】
【You didn’t know how to handle this “reward.”】
【According to goblin thinking, you should enjoy her now.】
【However, you had human thoughts. For this pitiful girl in front of you, your pity outweighed your desire.】
【She just stared at you pitifully, hoping you wouldn’t be too rough with her.】
【You didn’t expect her to be so mentally prepared.】
【She didn’t know that you had no intentions toward her at all. What truly mattered to you was that Battle Technique scroll for Slash.】
“This… should be put around the neck, right?”
【You threw away the iron shackles and replaced them with a more comfortable leather collar, putting it around the Saintess’s neck.】
【After confirming the rope was sturdy enough, you let her go and allowed her to move freely in the room.】
【Her eyes were full of despair, as if she had already accepted what you were about to do to her.】
【But she was wrong. You just gave her some food, with no extra actions.】
【She looked at the ham bread in her hand, then at you, her eyes full of confusion.】
【Then she understood: you were extending goodwill. This made her heart very conflicted.】
【She could not accept a goblin defiling her, but the fact that you were not violently intruding gave rise to a strange feeling in her heart.】
【You pointed out the bathing area for her, then locked the door behind you.】
【Perhaps because of racial reasons, you felt some desire for this Saintess, but that desire was more primal.】
【Simply put, having sex with her was no different from eating.】
【Her magical power had already been crippled, so she was just an ordinary girl now, but the genes within her could breed offspring with magical power.】
【You currently had no need to breed offspring.】
【Returning to the room, you opened that Battle Technique scroll.】
[Battle Technique Scroll: Slash (Green)]
[Slash (Green): A simple skill with high potential. As proficiency increases, it can evolve into a higher-level Battle Technique.]
【‘Learn.’ You murmured in your mind, and then the scroll dissolved into a ball of light and disappeared.】
[Congratulations, Host! You have learned the Battle Technique: Slash (Green)]
[Current Skill Proficiency: 0/100]
【Seeing the proficiency prompt, you immediately recalled the novels you had read before. This proficiency definitely related to the number of times the skill was used.】
whoosh — 【The air was split by your swing.】
[Current Skill Proficiency: 0/100]
【But the skill proficiency didn’t move at all; it was still 0.】
【‘Does it have to be used on an enemy?’】
【You stroked your green chin.】
【Suddenly, a somewhat cruel idea appeared in your mind.】
…
【The Skull-Nail Family held no sense of belonging for you. They had neither a leader with some charm like Xue Ru Mu (Female) nor anything worth remembering.】
【The aging clan leader pressed his fingerprint for you.】
【You asked him where the goblins you had worked with before were. The clan leader looked at you with an “I understand what you’re going to do” expression.】
【He still told you their location.】
【Soon, they were begging for mercy under your Slash. “Don’t kill me!” “Help…!”】
【The Demon Longsword executed Slash, cutting a beautiful arc through the air, splashing blood.】
【You gave them no chance for mercy or apology, just like when they pushed you out that day—no room for discussion, no warning.】
[Goblin defeated. Experience Points increased by 7.]
…
[Current Skill Proficiency: 7/100]
【You shook the blood-stained longsword twice in satisfaction and sheathed it.】
【Thus, you had no further relationship with the Skull-Nail Family.】
【They collected the blood cocoon from your birth and tried to cultivate goblins as strong as you, but they failed every time.】
【Of course, that’s a story for later. You did not know.】
【Returning home, you heard the sound of running water.】
【But you had no interest in looking. You just opened the letter Zagu had sent you.】
“Dear Sitting Wolf Killer Sir, I heard you went back to the Skull-Nail Family and killed a few goblins. What a ruthless character. Our Zagu clan needs such a cruel warrior.”
“Once you’re ready, come to my tent. We’ve recently learned the movements of a human merchant caravan. You will lead our clan’s warriors in the charge.”
【You knew you couldn’t refuse. This was the main work of the Goblin Legion.】
【Goblins produce nothing; they only need to pillage.】
【Rob some caravans, plunder some gold coins, kidnap some females, breed some offspring—that’s what goblins do.】
【The sound of water in the next room stopped. After a while, the entire villa fell silent.】
【At that moment, you remembered she hadn’t eaten dinner yet, so you pushed open her door.】
