“What, you’re still not eating even now? Are you not hungry?”
Jiang Lai took a simple glance at the seafood porridge she had brought up.
Although it smelled delicious, as if it were a rare heavenly delicacy, and even a hint of that freshness stirred Jiang Lai’s taste buds—nearly making her long-starving stomach growl—she forced herself to remain stoic.
Even though she was as hungry as a wandering ghost, Jiang Lai internally commanded herself not to show even a shred of interest on the surface.
She didn’t care for any of this. She had fainted yesterday for no reason, and it was still a mystery why.
Her sleep quality might have been good, but it certainly wasn’t to the point where she wouldn’t wake up while someone changed her clothes and moved her to a different location.
Thinking about it, such a thing was impossible, so there had to be a trick involved. Who knew what that bastard Si Yina had secretly done to her?
“I’m not eating anything you bring over.”
Jiang Lai’s trust in Si Yina was near zero. Right now, she only wanted her phone to charge enough so she could turn it on. Jiang Lai’s gaze fell on the phone from time to time; she was even highly guarded, fearing Si Yina might snatch it away.
“Are you worried I drugged it?”
Si Yina looked at Jiang Lai, who was acting a bit reactive because of her, and a faint smile appeared on her face. Setting down the seafood porridge, she slightly opened her arms and walked toward Jiang Lai’s seat.
Jiang Lai wanted to run, but before she could leave the chair, Si Yina picked her up from behind in an incredibly humiliating position. The other woman’s powerful hands firmly locked around Jiang Lai’s calves. Jiang Lai didn’t dare to struggle, fearing that if she did, she would fall to the ground in a pathetic heap.
Jiang Lai didn’t dare to struggle with violent movements, but she didn’t stop using her mouth. “Let me go right now. If you don’t, watch out, I won’t be polite with you.”
“Not polite?”
Si Yina looked at Jiang Lai, who remained restless even while held in her arms. She glanced at the full-length mirror in the room and thought of a very interesting little move.
“I’d like to see just how you won’t be polite with me.”
Because she maintained a regular exercise routine, Si Yina was quite strong. Even while supporting Jiang Lai in a posture where it was difficult to exert force, she carried her to the entrance of the room without a change in expression. There was a very clear full-length mirror there.
She wanted Jiang Lai to take a good look at herself—to see exactly what kind of shameful state she was in right now.
At first, Jiang Lai didn’t know what Si Yina wanted to do as they moved, but seeing the bright full-length mirror suddenly appear before her, she instantly understood what kind of wicked thoughts this person was harboring.
Jiang Lai immediately began to struggle. “Si Yina, I’m warning you, if you really dare to do that, I truly won’t forgive you.”
Doing these little things to humiliate her over and over again—”My patience has a limit!”
“Then I should also tell you, Jiang Lai… what I’m doing to you now is just the beginning. There will be more and more in the future. As long as you are disobedient, there will be things even more shameful than this. By then, you’ll feel that what’s happening now is just child’s play.”
Jiang Lai’s struggle ultimately served no purpose. When she opened her eyes again, she saw her legs being pried apart, revealing herself in the mirror in an extremely shameful posture. Jiang Lai wasn’t someone completely detached from the world; the moment she saw her reflection, her thoughts immediately jumped to unhealthy things.
Even though her pajamas were tightly buttoned, and everything except her snow-white legs was wrapped up tight, why did she look so lewd and erotic at this moment?
Jiang Lai glared fiercely at Si Yina through the mirror. Even though she put on such a threatening expression, she still couldn’t hide how her body was trembling all over.
Si Yina quietly admired her embarrassed and distressed appearance for a while. Her heart felt satisfied, and only then did she give up on the humiliating torture. “You’re hungry, right? Eat first. In a little while, you have to come out with me to deal with a few people.”
Jiang Lai was starving. Once she was back at the table, looking at the simple seafood porridge, her stomach let out a series of growls despite the simplicity of the food.
Even though Jiang Lai was so hungry she was nearly hallucinating, she still maintained a very determined expression once she was back in the chair, staring at Si Yina with a look that screamed she would never yield.
In her heart, accepting the seafood porridge now would be a spineless, undignified display. Jiang Lai didn’t want to be that kind of weakling. So, she turned her head away forcefully and closed her eyes; out of sight, out of mind.
Si Yina looked at Jiang Lai’s “refusing the easy way only to take the hard way” attitude. It seemed the punishment just now hadn’t been enough. When Si Yina thought about what she needed to do next—which required Jiang Lai’s perfect cooperation—she started to feel troubled.
Should she use forceful means to make Jiang Lai listen, or should she try to reason with her?
Si Yina had originally wanted to discuss things properly, but the argument the two had at the pier last night had made her completely abandon the idea of friendly negotiation. Since the soft approach didn’t work, there was only the hardline attitude left.
With Jiang Lai acting so disobediently, Si Yina’s already foul mood finally found an outlet. She grabbed Jiang Lai’s chin as she turned away, forcing her avoiding eyes to meet her own. “Do you really think I’d put drugs in seafood porridge?”
Si Yina couldn’t be bothered to do such low-class things; it lacked technical skill. Even if she were to use drugs, she wouldn’t put them in such an obvious place. It would be done stealthily, just like last night.
Jiang Lai looked at Si Yina. Trust between the two was completely gone. She wouldn’t believe anything that came out of the other woman’s mouth. If she said she didn’t drug it, did that mean she had to agree?
Even with her chin gripped, Jiang Lai refused to open her mouth for a single bite. This constant resistance left Si Yina feeling quite frustrated, as if her threats weren’t working at all.
Si Yina had been hounded by her family lately. Almost every day, they wanted to have heart-to-heart talks with her, hoping to use words to persuade her not to like girls.
Si Yina couldn’t do much about it. What would resisting achieve? Facing her parents, all she could do was let it go in one ear and out the other. However, the resentment in her heart remained, and at this moment, she actually wanted to vent all of it onto Jiang Lai.
