After the turbulent birthday banquet came to an end, a period of calm and steady days followed. Those who had accompanied Lu Yunze to the Su family main house had also adapted to life there.
As a professional “ox-horse” for an Ox-Horse Company in her previous life, Jiang Sui had long ago developed a glib tongue.

Jiang Sui’s eyes were shining as she said this, as if she had accomplished something very proud. If anyone else had said they had his key, Lu Yunze would have taken it as a joke, but coming from Jiang Sui, he truly felt she meant what she said.
“Besides, I’m a stranger in a strange land here at the main house. And you know my shy personality, Young Master. In this whole house, you are my only reliance.”
“Right, sure. Keep talking.” Lu Yunze almost couldn’t help laughing.
Shy personality? If she was shy, then there were no introverts left in this world. And she claimed to be a stranger?
“Didn’t you say the Su family is also here in Central City? And I saw you chatting and laughing with the servants yesterday. How do you explain that?”
“Hehe!”
“Acting cute won’t work. Do you have to come find me every day?” Lu Yunze was frustrated but amused. “Aren’t you also on good terms with Luo Li?”

“Are you really not angry?”
“I was just following the Young Master’s orders. Why would I be angry?” Jiang Sui tilted her head, appearing quite puzzled.
She was right, but why did Lu Yunze still feel something was off? He felt that her attitude toward him today was inexplicably cold.
“Since the Young Master finds me troublesome, you can go find the Young Miss directly. She would be very happy.”
Lu Yunze was shocked! He actually heard Jiang Sui tell him to go find Luo Li. Was the world coming to an end?
Seemingly oblivious to the shock on his face, Jiang Sui finished speaking, packed up her tools, and turned to leave.

Jiang Sui placed her hand over his palm. “I’ve been troubling you all this time, but the time to leave has come. I’ll have to ask the Young Miss to continue taking care of you.”
“What? Leave?”
“I really want to stay by your side, but there will always be a time to part. It’s an act of God.”
Having said that, she left the stunned Lu Yunze behind, her figure disappearing into the distance. It took Lu Yunze a long time to snap out of it, his mind filled with the girl’s sorrowful expression and trembling voice.
