“The more lives the Progenitor devours, the stronger it becomes. Everyone is its nourishment. If it truly manages to revive and descend into the mortal world, the consequences would be unimaginable. Can the Vampire Progenitor destroy the world? I don’t know, but I believe it definitely has the power to annihilate the Human Race. The grave responsibility of saving humanity rests on our shoulders.” Samimi continued, speaking alone.
“There’s no time to waste. Quickly tell us how to reinforce the seal.” Azure Moon Rampaging Dragon finally interrupted her long-winded speech and got straight to the point.
“The Progenitor’s will is sealed inside this Castle.”
Samimi pointed toward the Noble Castle and added, “This is the Sealing Land. Fortunately, none of you forcibly broke in with violence. If you had, we would all be doomed.”
Her words sent a chill down everyone’s spine, because some had just been about to force their way into the Castle, nearly causing a catastrophic mistake.
“Nun, what should we do next?”
“Demon-Hunting Nun, you must know how we reinforce the seal.”
“Nun, what’s our course of action?”
“I believe the Demon-Hunting Nun understands.”
Samimi’s lengthy and tedious monologue wasn’t entirely useless; she had indeed taken control of the Expedition Team’s decision-making. Without her command, the group couldn’t proceed.
But I, Samimi, was not bluffing this time; everything I said was the truth. This time I played the pure good character.
And this is the right way for a transmigrator to open the book. If you can’t use your novel knowledge to open your third eye and cheat, it’s no fun.
Otherwise, entering a dungeon normally would have at least a few useless teammates popping up, constantly questioning, causing chaos, deliberately opposing the protagonist, and driving both the protagonist and readers crazy to push the plot forward.
But I’m a transmigrator. I directly open my third eye. I know what to do upon entering the dungeon. My goal is clear, one-shot clear. Isn’t that cool? It saves a lot of unnecessary trouble from deliberate sabotage.
However, I decided to give up the one-shot approach because—
“Don’t trust her so blindly. What evidence does she have that what she’s saying is true? She could just be making it all up.”
Even after Samimi said so much, someone still jumped out to challenge her, refusing to let things go so smoothly.
And the one who doubted her was one of the two cloaked adventurer archers, the shorter one, with a rather young-sounding voice, definitely not the S-Rank Adventurer.
“You don’t believe me? Then we might as well wait for death. Do whatever you want. I’m done talking.” Samimi heard this and gave up completely, sitting down on the cliff’s edge to meditate and sleep.
“Ah, this… seriously?” Azure Moon Rampaging Dragon was dumbfounded.
The Demon-Hunting Nun was speaking clearly and well, and now some fool had to interrupt? Are they really going to make me lead how to save the world?
“If you have a better idea, speak up. Tell us what to do.” The Papal Left Hand looked at the two mysterious archers and asked displeased.
Everyone’s eyes turned to the two archers, waiting for their profound input.
“……”
But the young short archer couldn’t say a word of wisdom, frozen in place. However, she wasn’t embarrassed—unlike some socially anxious girl—she just had a thick skin.
This made the others rather dissatisfied. No ability, yet opening their mouth?
But out of respect for the S-Rank Adventurer, no one said anything outright, though their expressions said it all.
Their expressions seemed to say: Come on, we’re trying to save the world here, and you want to start infighting?
“Sorry, sorry, if you don’t understand, just don’t speak.” The tall S-Rank archer kept apologizing, trying to ease the awkwardness.
“If there’s no better plan, we have no choice but to trust the Demon-Hunting Nun. She was once part of the Church’s elite force against vampires, but after the Blood Clan Crisis was resolved, they disbanded. She is the last Demon-Hunting Nun of the Church. I believe her.” Unexpectedly, the Papal Left Hand was the first to stand up in support of Samimi.
“We weren’t disbanded—we were silenced by the Church, because the Church committed many atrocities in dealing with the Blood Clan. That’s why the records on vampires are incomplete. Don’t pretend you know me, Papal Left Hand. You’re the one I distrust the most.” Samimi gave him no face at all.
Her words silenced the Adjudication Knights, but the other Kingdom Knights and adventurers’ trust in Samimi soared. Her words were too honest.
Only the mysterious young archer remained distrustful.
Because this freeloading parasite’s words were too fake!
She had clearly been just a spoiled noble brat before! How did she suddenly become the Church’s last Demon-Hunting Nun?
Too fake! I absolutely do not believe her! Not a single word!
Why does everyone believe her lies? Must be possessed!
But this time, she dared not babble nonsense and chose to wait and see.
“Nun, how do we reinforce the seal?” Azure Moon Rampaging Dragon also stepped forward, showing willingness to trust the Demon-Hunting Nun.
With both leaders speaking up like this, the others had no choice but to trust.
Samimi yawned and after a while slowly stood up. Though she wore a lace blindfold, the displeasure on her lower face was obvious.
This was really frustrating, but the Demon-Hunting Nun was the only informed person present and everyone’s savior. No one could afford to offend her.
“Return to the main gate.” Samimi said simply, leaning on her Runic Staff as she walked.
Everyone followed her like shadows back to the front gate of the cliff Castle, then saw the Demon-Hunting Nun staring blankly at the eerie distant forest.
“Is the method to reinforce the seal inside that forest?” a gunner adventurer apprentice asked.
“Most people would think so, right? Then you’re dead wrong! You’re walking into a trap!” Samimi pointed and began her passionate speech.
“Because there’s nothing in that forest—only endless zombies and hidden Purebloods lying in wait. If I don’t tell you, you’d foolishly enter the forest and be wiped out. Surrounded by a zombie horde in complex terrain, fighting agile vampires, we’d surely die.”
Everyone exchanged looks, shivering in agreement. It made perfect sense.
“So, we only need to establish a defensive perimeter around the cliff Castle. At night, the zombies will attack the Castle, trying to break the seal.”
Samimi said solemnly, “Our task is to protect this Castle and the Small Manor. We mustn’t move around recklessly. Wandering is falling into the Blood Clan’s trap.”
So reliable! Demon-Hunting Nun, is this some sort of future sight?
No one objected or questioned. Everyone wore determined expressions of trust, no one doubted her.
