Su Nian kicked at Chu Tian’s “body” again and again.
“Aren’t you usually so capable? Didn’t you love it when I called you Master? Didn’t you enjoy treating me like your trophy, playing with me however you wanted?”
The angrier Su Nian became, the harder she kicked, as if pouring out all the resentment she had bottled up over this time with every blow.
“You even threatened me with photos, made me live in Shadowmoon Manor, and forced me to report to your room every night on the dot! So, what now? Not arrogant anymore? Not proud anymore? Not treating me like your little slave to command at will?”
She cursed as she kicked, her voice growing louder, filled with unrestrained fury and satisfaction.
“And that damned collar! The Lover’s Prison Collar, right? It trapped my magic, forced me to do humiliating things, amplified my senses… You think that’s going to make me submit? Dream on!”
Su Nian suddenly lifted her foot and stomped hard on Chu Tian’s chest.
She bent over slightly and leaned close to the Horned Demon Bastard’s face.
“Listen here, Horned Demon Bastard, I’m not so easily defeated! The humiliation you made me suffer—I’ll pay you back tenfold, a hundredfold!”
“But… since you’re already ‘dead,’ I guess I can’t really settle those scores with you…”
Su Nian sighed dramatically, standing upright and scanning the surroundings to make sure there was no danger.
Her expression suddenly brightened.
She clapped her hands, brushing off an imaginary dust and said lightly, “Well, since you’re already ‘dead,’ I’ll be merciful and forgive your past deeds!”
“But don’t think you get off that easily! Death sentence pardoned, living punishment inevitable!” Su Nian’s eyes gleamed mischievously as a sly smile curled on her lips.
She pulled out a pen from the Beast Nest Space.
“Since you’re so into role-playing, I’ll indulge you—let me ‘put on some makeup’ for you so you can experience what it’s like to be a ‘trophy’!”
Squatting down, Su Nian began “creating” on Chu Tian’s face.
First, she drew a big “Fool” character on his forehead, then painted a turtle on each cheek, and dotted a small black spot on his nose.
“Hm, not bad, not bad. You look much better this way.” Su Nian admired her “masterpiece” and couldn’t help but laugh aloud.
“Since you’re dead, I’ll ‘take good care’ of Shadowmoon Manor for Master, and all your Magic Phones too. I’ll ‘put them to good use,’ so don’t worry!”
Su Nian stuck out a ghostface at Chu Tian, then stood up, humming happily.
Taking a deep breath to calm herself, she was about to leave and burn both the Horned Demon Bastard’s body and this place when something struck her.
She reached up to touch the Lover’s Prison Collar around her neck.
Previously, under the Horned Demon Bastard’s command, she had followed as his captured slave to meet the Necromancer, so the Lover’s Prison Collar around her neck still remained.
That damned collar had taken away her freedom, turning her into this bastard’s slave, subjecting her to endless humiliation.
Now that this bastard was dead, the collar should be able to come off, right?
Her fingers touched the collar’s cold metal surface.
Taking a deep breath, she tugged hard.
Not a single movement.
Su Nian froze.
‘What’s going on?’
She tried several times, using all her strength, but the collar remained firmly locked on her neck, without the slightest looseness.
“No… no way…” Su Nian’s face instantly drained pale, unable to believe her eyes.
According to the System’s rules, once the equipment lost its Master, it should be freely removable!
Why isn’t it?
Her mind spun in chaos.
She desperately reviewed if she had missed any important information.
Could it be… the System glitched?
Su Nian quickly opened the System panel to check her status.
Accessory: Lover’s Prison Collar (locked, cannot be removed; Master: Horned Demon Lord)
The glaring words hit her heart like a stone dropping into a deep valley.
Why can’t it be removed?
How could this be?
It was like a bucket of ice water poured over her from head to toe; she shivered.
Trembling, she clicked on the “Current Status” tab.
[Current Status: Recognition State l2, Healthy, Free, Submissive Physique, Virgin]
Still the same!
No change at all!
According to the Recognition rules, once the Master dies, this status should be lifted.
Su Nian stood there blankly, like a statue carved from stone, unmoving.
Is the System… bugged?
But how could the System make a mistake?
Her heart filled with doubt and confusion.
She felt trapped in a vast labyrinth with no way out.
‘Wait…’
A terrifying thought suddenly flashed in her mind.
Aside from System error, there was another possibility…
That was… the Horned Demon Bastard wasn’t actually dead!
Her heart clenched violently, a chill shooting from her feet to the top of her head.
‘Impossible… this can’t be…’
Su Nian shook her head frantically, trying to push the dreadful thought away.
Yet reason told her this might very well be the truth.
With trembling hands, she opened the Map Function.
After the Necromancer’s death, all the red dots representing undead creatures around had vanished.
Only two dots remained on the map: one blue, one red.
One was her own blue dot, standing quietly in place.
The other…
Su Nian’s gaze locked on that red dot, disbelief flooding her eyes.
That red dot was right beside her, motionless.
That was… the Horned Demon Bastard?
No way.
He wasn’t dead!
It felt like a lightning bolt had struck her; her whole body trembled and her mind went blank.
A wave of overwhelming fear instantly swallowed Su Nian whole.
If the Horned Demon Bastard wasn’t dead, but faking it—what was she going to do?
Worst of all—
Because she thought the Terrifying Knight, Necromancer, and the Horned Demon Bastard were all dead, she had already set a Temporal Anchor.
Even rewinding time wouldn’t help.
What now?
No… she couldn’t panic.
Su Nian forced herself to calm down.
‘Maybe… the Horned Demon Bastard had just fainted?’
Yes, it had to be that!
He was badly wounded, fainted, and looked dead.
Su Nian clung to this last straw of hope, a flicker of light rekindling inside her.
All she had to do… was deliver one last blow!
From the side, Su Nian grabbed the Horned Demon Bastard’s longsword.
She raised it, aiming at Chu Tian’s heart.
As long as… as long as she stabbed, everything would be over!
Her hand trembled slightly.
Her heart was filled with hesitation and struggle.
But when she thought of all the humiliation she had suffered, all the outrageous things this bastard had done to her, her eyes hardened with determination.
‘Die!’
Su Nian gritted her teeth and, summoning all her strength, thrust the longsword down!
