The boundary between the mortal world and the Abyss seemed to be influenced by the Abyssal aura.
The ground was a dark red, and broken, purple-black whirlpools lingered in the sky.
At the deepest part of the connection sat a purple magic circle.
That was the Abyssal Seal that had lasted for countless years.
However, with the passage of time, the seal was now in tatters, and many of its magical inscriptions had faded away.
Standing far in front of the seal, Isavel’s expression was exceptionally solemn.
It had been three years in the outside world since they entered the Abyssal Ancient Battlefield.
If her senses were correct, the Abyssal Dragon had fully revived and was currently flying through the Abyss toward the seal.
Behind her stood eight people.
They included Kurt, the Tower Master of the Archmage Tower; Brand, the Dean of Galwin Magic Academy; Tyrael, the Academy Head of Cross Knight Academy; and Baird, the Highest Elder of the Senate of the Os Empire.
Every one of them was a peak Demigod who had experienced countless battles throughout their lives.
But even so, in this moment, they still gripped their weapons tightly, feeling incredibly nervous.
The Abyssal Dragon loomed over their heads like the shadow of death.
“It’s here…” Isavel whispered softly.
The people behind her immediately took deep breaths and assumed combat stances. At that very moment—
Crack!
A crisp sound, like glass shattering, rang out. The purple seal that had survived for countless years completely broke apart, and the last inscription on its surface extinguished.
The seal was broken.
The entrance to the Abyss, a bottomless black rift, suddenly expanded tenfold.
Accompanied by the howling of countless demons, a terrifying claw reached out from within.
That claw alone was larger than most castles.
Its surface was covered in layers of pitch-black scales. The edges of each scale were incredibly sharp, and they were surrounded by soul-shaking Abyssal Magic.
Next, a second claw emerged, followed by a head.
The dragon’s head looked like a mix between a goat and a lizard.
Unquenchable Abyssal fire burned upon its curved horns, and its eyes were like blood-red gems, reflecting a terrifying scene of world-ending destruction.
When it fully emerged from the rift, its head alone obscured nearly half the sky.
The Abyssal Dragon had truly descended.
The dragon swept its gaze over everyone, including Isavel. Then, without a word, it opened its mouth and blasted Abyssal fire toward them.
From their perspective, it felt as if the entire world was filled with nothing but fire.
“Forbidden Curse: Mana Barrier!”
Kurt, the Tower Master of the Archmage Tower, was the first to act.
He slammed his magic staff into the ground, and a pure white barrier condensed from vast magic power instantly unfolded, blocking the path of the flames.
However, the barrier lasted less than half a second before it was pierced through.
Isavel swung her blade, the sharp edge slicing through space to cut the landing point of the Abyssal fire.
At that moment, Dean Brand, Tyrael, and the others seized the opportunity, each casting Forbidden Curses to attack the dragon.
“Forbidden Curse: Thunder Judgment!”
“Protection of the Sages!”
Accompanied by a surge of magic, a bolt of thunder powerful enough to destroy half an empire pierced through the clouds and slammed heavily onto the dragon’s head.
Meanwhile, the sword in Tyrael’s hand was imbued with the phantom of a divine blade as he slashed down at the dragon’s body.
Faced with such terrifying attacks, the dragon did something unexpected—it didn’t move at all.
However, whether it was the thunder or the sword light, neither caused any impact after the roar faded.
They couldn’t even make its body tremble.
The dragon did not speak, but the mockery in its eyes grew stronger.
Seeing this, Isavel let out a sigh and stepped in front of it.
The gap between a Demigod and a God was indeed something that could not be filled by numbers.
Even if these people stood at the peak of the Demigod level, they couldn’t hurt this dragon in the slightest.
Letting them continue the fight would only be sending them to their deaths.
With that thought, she looked directly at the dragon, and a sliver of Divine Power attached itself to her black blade.
The dragon was initially wary of her, but after sensing the Divine Power within her body, it seemed to guess something and couldn’t help but laugh mockingly.
“Do you, who has just stepped into the realm of Godhood, really think you can stop me?”
As its voice fell, it opened its giant mouth and spat out a cloud of gray mist!
Unlike fire or ice, this mist seemed to touch upon the very laws of the world.
Wherever the mist passed, gravity inverted, rocks floated, time became distorted, and even the definition of “existence” began to blur.
This was an attack of laws, a power that could only be mastered after reaching the realm of Godhood.
Faced with this attack, Isavel chose to break all laws with a single strike.
She swung her blade at the incoming mist. The blade light, also carrying the power of laws, struck the mist.
The different laws mixed within, eventually resulting in a bizarre explosion.
However, the Abyssal Dragon seized the opportunity and swung its massive tail directly at Isavel.
The dragon’s tail was exceptionally thick. It wasn’t fast, but Isavel, who was locked on, had no way to dodge.
She could only raise her longsword and collide violently with the tail.
Boom!
Upon impact, Isavel was smashed into the nearby mountains.
“Lady Viel!”
This scene was witnessed by the members of the Rose Knights who had just arrived.
Under Adela’s guidance, they had used a transfer array to leave the Abyssal Ancient Battlefield.
After seeing the mortal world plagued by demons and the seal broken, they had headed straight here.
Even though they were mentally prepared, their hearts still trembled the moment they saw the Abyssal Dragon.
But when they saw Isavel get injured, that trembling completely vanished.
“You dragon!”
“Come back!”
Despite Kurt’s attempts to stop them, Teresa, Aixi, and the others raised their weapons and charged toward the Abyssal Dragon!
Faced with these young women who hadn’t even reached the peak of the Demigod level, the dragon clearly had no intention of taking them seriously.
It swiped a claw toward them, and a terrifying gale blew them away.
Demigod-level power was as laughable as an infant’s before it.
Afterward, it locked onto Teresa and slammed its claw down, seemingly wanting to crush her into pulp.
But at this critical moment—
“Final Singularity!”
A cold voice rang out. The dragon’s falling claw slowed down rapidly.
In the darkness, it felt as if something was squeezing the Abyssal Dragon’s body, making it unable to act as it pleased.
For the first time, an emotion called “confusion” was reflected in the dragon’s eyes.
This was a magic it had never seen before. Although it didn’t know what would happen next, so far, it was only being held stationary.
As for the God casting this magic…
Her black dress was torn, fresh red blood flowed from her left arm, her eyes were dim, her breathing was slow, and more than half of her soul had inexplicably dissipated. She could barely even stand.
‘Is this… the price for casting this magic?’
The Abyssal Dragon was puzzled. But a second later, a black dot appeared in front of it.
The black dot was initially only the size of a needle tip and had no luster, yet it radiated an attraction that froze the dragon’s soul.
As soon as it appeared, it began to devour everything around it.
First was the Abyssal fire on the dragon’s body, then its indestructible scales, and finally the Abyssal flesh that composed its form.
Sensing a life-or-death crisis, the Abyssal Dragon began to struggle frantically.
It released claw strikes capable of tearing space, laid down curses that could twist reality, and spat out breath that annihilated matter.
However, all of these surged toward the black dot and were ultimately swallowed.
There was no explosion, no neutralization. It was like pouring a bucket of water into a bottomless pit; there wasn’t even a ripple.
After half its body was sucked into the black dot, the dragon finally felt fear.
“No… No!! Stop!!”
A singularity!
It was filled with terrifying World Power, which even its Divine Power could hardly shake!
Seeing it slowly being drawn in, the light in Kurt’s eyes grew stronger.
That was right. The Final Singularity was the ultimate magic that their Archmage Tower and Isavel had researched in recent years.
What it utilized was not magic or Divine Power, but the much larger World Power!
Years ago, they had discovered that after the Abyss and the mortal world connected, their respective worlds emitted a strong repulsive force toward each other.
Back then, they had dreamed of using this repulsive force to develop a spell that surpassed Forbidden Curses!
With Isavel’s help, they finally completed the spell.
By using the soul to communicate with the origins of both worlds, the repulsive force between them was enhanced.
When these forces condensed into a single point, a terrifying singularity was born.
This singularity could even devour Divine Power.
The only drawback of this magic was that the soul power required to communicate with the world origins and condense the repulsive force was incredibly vast. Ordinary humans could not cast it.
Even a God could only cast it once, and the drain on themselves was immense.
Thump—
After seeing the dragon sucked into the singularity, Isavel collapsed onto the ground. Her black hair was stuck to her cheeks with sweat.
Blood seeped from the corner of her mouth and dripped onto her fair skin, spreading like a flower.
“Lady Viel!”
Teresa and the others quickly rushed toward her. Leanna held her longsword, looking around vigilantly.
In her eyes, in this moment, let alone the Abyssal Dragon, even Kurt and the others could be enemies.
After all, the current Isavel was so weak that she couldn’t even defeat an ordinary Demigod, let alone a peak Demigod.
Especially with her soul damaged. Even though she had stepped into the realm of Godhood, after losing most of her soul, she could still hear the whispers from the Abyss.
‘Am I going to be eroded by Abyssal Magic again?’
At that thought, Isavel, who was lying in Teresa’s arms, let out a laugh.
This time was different from the past. Without the trouble of the Abyssal Dragon, she could easily deal with the erosion of Abyssal Magic.
“Lady Viel! We won! We won!”
Perhaps out of excitement, Teresa subconsciously hugged Isavel tighter.
This scene made Meilin tilt her head and raise an eyebrow, while Aixi blinked, her eyes revealing a hint of envy.
Only Leanna paused, a slight doubt rising in her heart.
In a place she didn’t know about, had the relationship between Teresa and Isavel become this good?
In their eyes, wasn’t she supposed to be the Villainous Saint who treated them as tools?
Although, although she admitted that this Saintess’s final choice had exceeded her expectations, was Teresa’s emotion not a bit too much?
And…
Where was Saintess Selis?
She hadn’t seen her for a long, long time, and she missed her.
As the Rose Knights surrounded Isavel to celebrate the victory, Kurt let out a soft laugh and shook his head.
Then he looked back at the place where the singularity had disappeared.
‘What should a magic above the Forbidden Curse level be called?’
In the midst of his fantasy, his pupils contracted.
He discovered a tiny spatial crack appearing where the singularity had vanished.
Then, a blood-drenched claw reached out from within once more.
“If you thought this would kill me, you are far from finished!”
Accompanied by a dragon’s roar that shook the heavens and earth, the blood-soaked Abyssal Dragon tore through space and descended upon the mortal world once more.
But in this moment, it no longer had its previous majestic appearance.
Its horns were broken, its body was hollow, and its white bones were exposed…
But even so, no one present dared to underestimate it for a second.
In fact, despair had already begun to show in the eyes of some.
