Su Yu’s heart tightened, and he almost slipped and fell, his feet losing purchase.
His paws clutched the water pipe tightly, and Su Yu softly “meowed.”
His emerald green cat eyes glowed in the darkness.
“Tch! It’s just a wild cat.”
The scar-faced man relaxed, glared at the wild cat clinging to the water pipe, closed the window, and continued talking to the person inside.
Su Yu clung to the water pipe and listened for a while longer.
Finding no useful information, he smoothly climbed up to the third floor along the pipe.
He didn’t notice that inside the room, the scar-faced man was taking out his phone, a look of impatience on his face.
The third-floor window was closed, and the lights were off.
The room was pitch black.
Su Yu wasn’t sure if his mother was inside, but he had to try to find out.
“Pounce!”
Leaping onto the windowsill, Su Yu pressed his entire cat face against the glass window, straining to look inside.
There was indeed a blurry figure on the bed to the right of the window, but the person was completely covered by the quilt, making it unclear.
Su Yu licked his furry mouth, and tentatively tapped the glass window twice.
“Thump! Thump!”
The glass made a muffled sound.
Su Yu pressed closer to look again, but the person on the bed didn’t stir.
Su Yu tilted his head, increased his strength, and continued to tap.
The person in the room finally stirred.
Su Yu happily let out a “meow!”
He pressed his paws down hard, tapping the glass a few more times with effort.
The figure on the bed finally got up and walked towards the window.
It was a woman!
Su Yu urgently scratched at the window, his entire face pressed flat against the glass like a pancake.
The figure got closer and closer.
With a feline’s excellent eyesight, Su Yu finally clearly saw the figure’s face!
“Mama!”
Tapping the window even harder, Su Yu let out excited cries from his throat, “Meow-ow! Meow-ow!”
The cat’s excited cries carried far in the quiet night.
Someone downstairs cursed, “Where did that wild cat come from, meowing in the middle of the night!”
Su Yu, however, ignored all this, standing upright, pressing against the window, gazing eagerly at his mother who had stopped at the window.
Su’s mother looked at the cat staring at her from outside the glass window.
After thinking for a moment, she reached out and pushed the window open.
Before the window opened, Su Yu was incredibly excited, but when the window actually opened, looking at his mother, whose face was haggard, standing before him, Su Yu became timid.
He cautiously extended a paw to touch the hand on his head, then vigorously rubbed his head against the warm palm.
Su Yu softly let out a “meow.”
Reaching out, she picked up the meowing cat.
The small feline was especially docile.
Su’s mother smiled and stroked the cat’s head, then found a large bath towel and spread it by the bed.
“You can sleep here tonight.”
A warm palm stroked his back.
Su Yu squinted, flicked his tail, and purred contentedly twice.
After settling the kitten, Su’s mother prepared to rest again.
Su Yu saw the person about to leave again, and quickly jumped up to hug his mother’s leg, hanging completely from her leg.
Su’s mother was torn between laughter and tears. She pulled the “cat pendant” off her leg, placed him on her lap, and spoke to Su Yu with a gentle, patient tone:
“Anything else?”
He scanned around but couldn’t find paper or a pen, and a phone was even more impossible.
Su Yu spun in anxious circles.
Amused, Su’s mother held down the spinning cat, stroked his fur a few times, and gently coaxed, “Be good, go to sleep obediently.”
His two furry ears drooped dejectedly against his head.
Unable to find any tools, Su Yu could only resort to his initial method, beginning to gesture with both paws.
He gestured for a long time, then looked up at his mother, only to find her watching him with a mysterious smile.
Su Yu:
“What in the world is my mom smiling about?!”
“Can’t you be serious at a time like this, meow!”
He tried to gesture two more sentences.
She smiled even harder!!!
Su Yu was almost at his breaking point.
“Feeling down, heartbroken.”
Patiently waiting for the cat to finish his antics, and seeing that the cat was tired and lying still, Su’s mother gently put Su Yu back on the bath towel, even thoughtfully covering his furry belly.
“No longer wish to live, don’t want to get scruffy!”
“And they said a mother and son’s hearts are connected! Liars!”
Su Yu felt indignant, and as he fumed, he fell asleep.
Zzzzzz~
Well, after a tiring day running around outside, filled with anxiety, Su Yu finally relaxed after finding his mother.
His small body couldn’t hold on any longer, and he fell asleep in the room filled with his mother’s scent.

The next day.
Perhaps it was the unfamiliar environment, but Su Yu slept well, waking up quite early while it was still dimly lit outside.
He surveyed the room.
Aside from some essential daily necessities, the room was empty.
A bad start!
After being depressed for a while, Su Yu was once again full of energy and began to brainstorm.
No paper or pen, no phone, and gesturing with his paws wasn’t understood.
How could he make his mother understand what he meant?
Anxiously licking his furry mouth, Su Yu’s eyes lit up.
He had it!
He ran to the bathroom, filled a cup with a small amount of water, then ran to the bedside and woke up the still-sleeping person.
Su’s mother was half-asleep when she was woken up, still a bit groggy.
Su Yu’s eyes shone.
He tugged at his mother’s pants, pulling her to the middle of the room.
Releasing the pants, he dipped his paws in the water, and Su Yu began to write on the floor.
“Mom, I’m A-Yu.”
Fortunately, this villa had just been built.
The rough house didn’t even have floor tiles, so the water marks on the cement floor were especially clear.
Su’s mother’s previously muddled mind instantly cleared.
She looked at the floor in shock, then turned to look at the cat staring at her with wide eyes, filled with disbelief.
Rubbing her eyes hard, she looked at the semi-dry water marks on the ground.
Su’s mother squatted down, tenderly stroking her son who had turned into a ball of fur.
“What exactly happened?”
Su Yu silently shook his head, lowered his head, and continued to write.
Mother and son squatted on the ground, one asking, one writing, and quickly made everything clear.
Su’s mother wiped her son’s wet furry paws clean, then lovingly held her cat son in her arms, worriedly saying, “You’re so small now, you won’t make it back and forth in time, and what if you get lost?”
Su Yu stood up and rubbed his face against Su’s mother’s, his round eyes gazing at her brightly.
Tapping Su Yu’s forehead, Su’s mother sighed helplessly, “Then be careful. If the worst comes to worst, your uncle will find a way.”
Rolling playfully in his mother’s arms, Su Yu then seized the opportunity while the people downstairs hadn’t woken up, and rapidly ran back along the way he came.
He had agreed with his mother that he would find a way to go back and get help, while his mother would try her best to stall them, trying not to evacuate too quickly.
***
Running along the tire tracks, his soft paw pads rubbing against the gravel road, Su Yu didn’t know how long he ran.
His four paws felt numb, only able to move forward mechanically.
The sun rose little by little, climbing higher and higher, the scorching sun baking down.
His throat was so dry it felt like it was smoking.
Su Yu kept going purely on willpower to avoid collapsing.
Just as he was about to collapse, Su Yu finally saw the car parked not far away!
He let out a hoarse cry, swallowed, and ran towards the black car with all his might.
After Zhao Yong had feigned defeat and driven away yesterday, he returned two hours later.
He didn’t dare to pursue rashly, so he first informed his boss and then stayed on guard overnight.
Zhao Yong grumbled inwardly, but the boss’s orders had to be obeyed, so he had to make do in the car for a miserable night.
Therefore, when Zhao Yong, who was sullenly smoking, saw the Cat Immortal running towards him in a wobbly manner, it’s understandable how startled he was.
“He almost scared me to death.”
He quickly went forward and picked up the half-dead Cat Immortal, returned to the car, found a bottle of mineral water, twisted it open, and brought it to Su Yu’s mouth, “Great Immortal, drink some water to recover first.”
Su Yu, panting heavily, lay half-dead in the bodyguard’s arms, laboriously sticking out his tongue to lap at the water tilted at the bottle’s opening.
Still not enough, he held the bottle with both paws, opened his mouth wide, and gulped down more than half the bottle.
Although half of it spilled onto Zhao Yong.
His smoking throat finally felt better.
Su Yu weakly meowed at Zhao Yong.
He then patted his pocket, signaling Zhao Yong to take out his phone.
“Great Immortal, here!”
Intelligently understanding the Great Immortal’s words, Zhao Yong submissively handed over his phone.
Su Yu looked at his swollen paws, wanting to lick them in distress, but facing the dusty, wet surface, he couldn’t bring himself to.
He calmly lowered the paws he had raised to his face, and secretly rubbed them on Zhao Yong’s clothes.
Enduring the paw pain, Su Yu finished typing and handed the phone to Zhao Yong.

Zhao Yong, according to Su Yu’s request, informed Luo Jianyuan of the situation, and then, following Su Yu’s directions, drove towards the scar-faced man’s hideout.
An hour later, the two got out of the car, hid it in the dense woods, and Zhao Yong carried Su Yu on foot.
Zhao Yong was a retired soldier, physically fit and fast-footed.
After about half an hour, he saw the villa from afar.
He found a place to hide with the cat.
He had already left markers along the way; all they had to do was wait quietly for the others to arrive.
As the sun set, the people Luo Jianyuan arranged arrived—all retired soldiers, tall and robust, with fierce expressions.
They clearly weren’t to be trifled with.
Su Yu didn’t want to expose his special abilities in front of too many people, so he scratched Zhao Yong and stared at him with his round eyes.
Zhao Yong was stared at for a long time and scratched a few times.
He belatedly realized that the Great Immortal didn’t want others to know he had become a spirit!
Feeling a strange sense of pride, he glanced lightly at these grunts and said coldly, “There are estimated to be four people in the villa. The target is in the middle room on the third floor.”
He looked around and emphasized, “The person in the room must be rescued completely unharmed. We’ll act after dark.”
After speaking, he made a gesture of dispersal, and the few people quietly scattered, each finding a place to hide.
The group hid in the woods.
Night quickly fell, and the lights in the villa came on.
Su Yu gazed intently at the middle window on the third floor, feeling as if his mother was by the window.
Placing Su Yu safely hidden in the woods, Zhao Yong instructed, “Great Immortal, hide well. I’ll come pick you up after we deal with those jerks.”
Su Yu nodded, obediently hiding in the woods.
He watched as Zhao Yong led the men to quietly surround the area.
