The scene suddenly grew quiet.
The tip of the sword was pressed against the woman’s neck, just a little more pressure and it could precisely pierce her throat, suffocating her to death.
This sudden moment left Aurora stunned for a moment.
She didn’t understand why her younger sister would show hostility toward her—wasn’t she the one who cured her?
All the gazes around them focused on the two, and seeing the sharp sword’s gleam, some people began to panic and run away.
If this continued, it would cause chaos. For now, she needed to calm her sister down before asking anything.
With that thought, Aurora grasped Lorabel’s wrist and gently lowered the raised sword.
Faced with her sister’s touch, Lorabel offered no resistance; the sword she held tightly was easily set down.
“Anyway… let’s talk inside the ward. Causing trouble here would only bother others, right?”
“Okay, I’ll listen to you.” Lorabel sheathed the blade and spoke softly.
She cast a cold glance at the black-haired woman before pulling Aurora into her arms and heading toward the ward.
“Sis, you’re still weak. Let me carry you.”
Such decisive words made Aurora feel a bit helpless. Although being carried by her sister was somewhat embarrassing, now wasn’t the time to care about that.
Seeing Lorabel finally leave, the black-haired woman exhaled deeply.
She pulled out a cigarette to light but, seeing the other patients nearby, reluctantly put it back in her pocket.
“Seriously, what’s going on here…”
Muttering a complaint, she followed them into the ward.
She repeated the explanation she’d given to the blue-haired girl earlier, then added, “Miss Eve’s prolonged coma, I suspect, is related to excessive magical power consumption.”
“Although I only detected five percent in her blood routine, even that small amount contains magical power tens of times greater than a normal person’s.”
“So I think at some point before she lost consciousness, she consumed a large amount of magic—probably casting a high-level… no, it should be a Final Rank spell. Otherwise, I can’t imagine what kind of magic could consume that much power overnight.”
“Tens of times…”
Hearing that her magic power was high, Aurora felt a little pleased inside. After all, the amount of magic power determines a witch’s upper limit, and magic power can’t be increased after birth; whatever one is born with is all they’ll ever have.
But obviously, her sister wasn’t concerned about Aurora’s magic capacity…
“My sister can’t even use basic magic right now. How could she possibly use Final Rank spells?”
Her sister seemed to be speaking a little too much.
“Ahem. Actually, I can still use basic magic.”
“See!”
Aurora focused on the potted plant by the window, began chanting a spell, and then…
Nothing happened.
“Strange, it definitely worked that night…”
She glanced awkwardly at her sister and then defended herself, “I’m not lying!”
“It’s okay, Sis…”
“Hm?”
“Even if you never use magic in your life, I will still love you.”
“Please believe in me!”
“Anyway, I absolutely won’t forgive you for using that strange healing method without permission! What if something had happened to you…”
While Lorabel argued with the black-haired woman, Aurora was still fixated on what had just happened.
Looking at her bandaged wrist, she suddenly remembered: she had used her blood to make the plants grow quickly, not magic.
She gently bit her finger, letting a drop of blood fall onto the potted plant.
After a moment, a small mound of soil pushed up from the pot.
Aurora leaned in, nervously staring at the tiny mound.
‘Pop~’
A small sprout broke through the soil, stretching like it was waking up from a nap.
“See! I really can use magic.” Aurora exclaimed happily.
Although Lorabel was still arguing with the black-haired woman and didn’t hear her, Azalea, who had been persuading them for a while, did.
She leaned closer, then gave Aurora a thumbs-up. “Miss Aurora, you’re really impressive.
“A cute little sprout like this, even our royal gardener can’t do it.”
“Hehe.”
Aurora was a little embarrassed by the compliment and scratched her head, letting out two cute laughs.
“Eh?”
“W-what’s wrong?”
Hearing Azalea’s puzzled voice, Aurora leaned in again to examine the plant.
The sprout seemed to be growing—and… a little too fast!
“Aurora! Get out of the way!!”
Green vines rapidly sprouted from the pot, quickly filling half the room.
Thanks to Azalea’s quick reflexes, the vines didn’t poke Aurora in the eye.
“What’s going on?!”
Everyone was startled by the sudden vines.
Lorabel and the black-haired woman were both entangled. Lorabel easily tore the vines off herself, but the other woman wasn’t so lucky.
“Sis! Where are you?!”
“I-I’m here…”
Parting the vines little by little, Lorabel finally saw Aurora and Azalea trapped within.
Aurora was still weak and couldn’t muster the strength to break the sturdy vines.
As for Azalea, she probably just wanted to experience being wrapped up by tentacle monsters from the storybooks—but unfortunately, these “tentacles” didn’t move on their own.
“Sis, help me out.”
Although the “tentacle” scenario didn’t appear on Azalea, it was beginning to show on the more developed Aurora.
The vines were restless on her, wrapping tightly around her slender waist, creeping slowly up her shoulders and covering her soft chest.
On her legs, a vine was growing upward too, seemingly heading toward an awkward place.
Azalea’s eyes widened.
“This is way too erotic, Miss Aurora, way too erotic!”
Two streams of blood flowed from her nose, staining her pink dress red.
“Hurry, hurry, Sis!”
The feeling between her thighs and around her chest made Azalea feel embarrassed. Even though she knew these vines weren’t truly alive and had no consciousness, being trapped like this was still somewhat scary.
Lorabel parted the dense vines and found the pot. She reached out and tore the roots apart, stopping the vines’ growth.
“Sis, are you hurt anywhere?!”
After freeing Aurora, Lorabel carefully checked her from head to toe, and once she confirmed everything was fine, she hugged her tightly.
Her embrace seemed even tighter than the vines that had just ensnared her.
“N-no, it’s fine, Sis. Let’s get out of here first.”
Aurora patted her sister’s arm and spoke softly.
As they headed out, Aurora suddenly remembered: there were still two people not yet rescued…
“What about me? Lorabel! Hurry and save me!! These vines are growing again?!
Lorabel!!”
